As we appreciate, savor and relish the beautiful moments in our lives, we invite more beautiful moments. This is a centering practice you can do throughout the day to slow down, return to yourself and recall a specific instance for which to be grateful.

Let's begin by getting comfortable,

Perhaps by sitting in a chair with your feet firmly planted on the floor,

Your shoulders rolled back and down,

Resting your hands gently on your lap and closing your eyes.

And just begin by inhaling deeply and as you inhale,

Filling your belly and feeling it expand,

Filling your lungs.

Feeling the expansion and holding at the top and releasing,

Letting go,

Letting go.

And again,

Inhaling through your nostrils,

Inhaling deeply,

Filling your abdomen and feeling the expansion.

And again,

Holding at the top and releasing,

Letting go,

Letting go.

Allowing your breath to return to its natural pace and allowing yourself to settle into this moment.

Today's short practice is one of gratitude.

And I'll ask you to recall a specific moment or instance for which you feel grateful from the last 24 or 48 hours.

This can be something small or something big.

I'd like it to be something really specific that you can call upon.

Maybe it was the facial expression of a loved one when they received good news and that just warmed you up.

Maybe it was biting into your favorite meal and just savoring all of those delicious flavors.

Whatever you choose to recall,

Have it be something really specific in your life and recent and bring that memory back.

Bring it up and bring up all of the surroundings.

What did it sound like and smell like?

What were your feelings?

And just bring those emotions and sensations back and really savor them.

By replaying this positive scenario,

This feel good moment in your mind,

You're inviting more of these moments into your life.

By feeling the gratitude,

You are opening yourself for more positivity.

And acknowledging this beautiful moment,

This beautiful instance you chose to recall,

Appreciating it.

And now preparing to come back to the room.

Breathing deeply and exhaling,

Wiggling your toes and your fingers.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes.

Have a wonderful rest of your day.
