Welcome to a hit of hope.
And fair warning,
This one's a little salty,
So if that's not your jam.
.
.
I wish you well.
Let's just take a minute.
You might brush off any weird energy in your hair,
Your arms,
Your shoulders,
Your heart.
Or if you prefer,
Just take some big,
Deep breaths in.
And let all of it go.
One more time,
Deep breath in and out.
Exhale.
Let it go.
I am sitting in my closet once again because it's the best place to record.
And it sort of feels like my old meditations,
The ones I started at the beginning of all of this.
Life has once again fallen apart in a bunch of different ways.
And a part of me is like,
What?
What the fuck is going on?
And if you're anything like me,
Then your mind starts to go around and around.
And it turns into a dog.
Who's growling and snarling.
Or a dog who is chasing after the same damn ball.
Again.
And again.
And then I don't know if you've ever seen a dog in the park,
But it brings the ball back and it won't let go.
Even though it knows to have the good,
To chase again,
You gotta let go.
But there's the fucking dog holding on to that damn little ball.
Take a deep breath in.
And let it go.
I don't want to be a dog.
Maybe kind of the happy dog,
The one that sits at the door and is like,
Oh,
You,
Aren't you awesome?
So yeah.
What about feeding that dog?
Not that we want to starve any dogs,
Let's be clear.
Really,
What do we want our insides to be like?
And what habits are in there that are so strong.
That can drag us down so fast.
They're there.
They're always there.
But can we become just a bit more aware?
Can we see the dog running us?
Opening its mouth,
Ready to latch on.
And say no.
Not right now.
We're gonna sit.
We're gonna quiet.
We're gonna get soft.
Out of that clinging,
Fighting,
Snarling energy.
Morgan is sit by the fire.
We're going to rock in a chair.
We're gonna get quiet.
I don't know about you,
But my spirit dog is like,
I don't want to quiet.
I don't want to sit by the fire.
I want to go.
And that's okay too.
At all.
Information.
It is.
To sit with.
To notice.
And here,
Though,
Is the key.
To choose.
Do we feed that energy?
Or do we try and balance it out?
Yes,
It's good to run and go and do.
It's good to be who we are.
Seriously.
We can attack ourselves so much.
So let's praise who we are.
You.
Are good.
And okay and fierce.
And wild.
And free.
Free.
To choose.
What habits?
You make stronger.
What ones you're like,
Know.
We're gonna quit feeding that energy.
So we can be.
Full of wags and joy.
Curiosity.
Getting on the good sense of life.
Following those trails.
What makes us more alive?
Follow that energy.
Live with that kind of heart.
And hope.
As you get out there.
And live life.
And shine.
Care of you.
