Hey y'all.

Welcome to a hit of hope.

How has life been?

How have you been?

Have you been checking in with yourself,

With your loved ones?

Or has it been head down,

Trying to get through?

Whatever the case may be.

Maybe you just need some time.

Some space.

To let go.

And to breathe.

We all face so much.

So much goodness and wonder.

So much challenge and change.

And sometimes that can take a toll on our bodies,

Our spirits.

There might even be times when we feel so weary and broken.

Take this time to take this breath.

Being present as you breathe in.

And releasing as you breathe out.

And if you struggle and strain,

I do that too.

It's so hard,

We're so primed to get things done.

To move,

To achieve,

To effort,

All the live long day.

And that's okay.

Until it's not.

Until body or spirit are crying out,

Saying,

Hey,

Please,

Can we stop?

But here's the thing,

Body and spirit might be crying stop,

But mind keeps saying,

Go,

Go,

Go.

It becomes this inner battlefield.

Knowing what you need,

And yet unable to stop the force of living with effort all the time.

So,

What do we do?

What we are doing right now.

We come to a place where we make it our intention.

Our intention to practice.

To practice being in the breath.

Inhale.

To practice being in the moment.

Feel your body as it is right now in space and time.

And if things come up,

That's okay.

That's kind of what this sort of space is for.

This beautiful container to all that is in you.

Let it rise.

Let it fall away.

Hold on to your center.

It's always there.

Right.

This presence that is grounded and real.

And it can never abandon you,

Because it's right there in your center.

So when the world gets a going,

When it all feels like it's too much,

Return to the practice of returning to your breath and dropping into your center.

The one that is always there.

Ready to ground you.

So you can live light.

Thank you for another great short meditation. I love how you come across as so down to earth, like a real person I could know in real life, not somebody taking on a persona of being a "meditation teacher". There's just something very authentic about your energy and your words which I really appreciate. This meditation was a very helpful prompt to a pause at a time when I really need that, thank you. πŸ™

Sometimes I wake up in the wee hours of the morning and my mind is reminding me of my never ending to do list. Thank you for the gentle compassion you offer. Indeed you provide a hug of hope. I hope you have people in your life who do that for you. Many thanks for the reminder I am not alone.
