Bring your attention to yourself,
Who you are in this moment of this life.
Focusing your thoughts,
Noticing your breathing,
And inviting a few deeper,
Slower belly breaths.
Then opening the heart on the inhale and letting go on the exhale,
Connecting with the heart space.
Bringing a loving presence with your body,
Mindfully inviting any areas of tension to surrender and let go.
Shoulders relaxing,
Sinking down towards the hips,
Opening.
Legs becoming a little more heavy.
And feel your seat where you're sitting or the surface beneath you.
And I invite you to imagine that you're on soft,
Fertile ground.
This could be a bed of flowers,
Fresh grass,
Or warm sand,
Or rich,
Soft soil.
Just choose a nice,
Soft ground.
And if you're comfortable doing so,
Imagine that it is so plush that you sink into it.
That you're able to sink into this plush,
Nourishing ground until it's waist high.
The ground covering your feet,
Your legs,
Your hips.
So it is holding you gently,
That you can sink into it,
Allowing it to support you.
And in this supportive ground,
Allowing your hips to relax and widen.
Allowing your tailbone to tip down into the earth.
Allowing your tailbone to be drawn down by gravity into the earth.
Down and down,
Like an arrowhead returning to its place.
And now here,
Connected to the earth,
Invite the earth's vibration to mingle with your tailbone.
The earth's vibration carries the wisdom of ancestors.
The ancestral wisdom of the plants,
Of all species on earth.
The animals and all the elements.
Feel the support of the ancestors.
Feel the earth wisdom around you,
Below you,
There for you,
Knows you,
Birthed you,
Provides for you.
Is listening to you and caring for you.
Feel your ground.
Be here.
Breathe.
Imagine now,
A large root sprouting from your hips,
Your buttocks,
Your whole lower half.
One large root sprouting down into the earth.
And then from this large root,
Smaller roots,
Like fingers reaching down into the ground,
Further into the soil.
And root fingers reaching down until they come upon a sphere of divine metal.
It is heavy and weighted like iron or hematite.
Feel your root fingers finding this sphere of metal,
Heavy.
And let your root fingers wrap around that sphere,
Merging with it.
Merging with its very center.
And just be here,
Breathe and feel this grounding.
Trusting this merger.
This grounding place is part of your central vertical axis of alignment.
All your chakras from root to crown,
Above and below,
Earth and spirit,
Form to formlessness.
Just explore this connection,
This grounding.
And then bringing your awareness back up the root,
Keeping the root there,
But just coming along back up the root to your seat,
Your hips.
And then continuing centrally through your body to the heart space.
Trusting your awareness lightly here at the center of your chest,
Your heart.
Take a few deep,
Relaxed breaths,
Breathing into the heart,
Being with the heart while remaining rooted.
Root and heart.
Feeling your awareness at the heart space,
And taking your awareness back down to the root,
To the grounding point.
And then back to the heart space,
Perhaps inviting an openness and lightness there in the heart.
Feeling the shoulders,
Heart,
Lightness,
Openness,
And grounding point,
Steady,
Magnetic,
Supportive.
And as you're ready,
Beginning to gradually come out of the meditation,
Becoming aware of the solidity of your seat where you're sitting,
Your body,
Your skin,
Wiggling your toes,
Gently opening your eyes.
Seeing a few objects around you where you are,
Carrying this grounding with you into each next step.
