This is Benjamin.

We're gonna do a practice together today to reconnect to our personal power.

When we can connect to an inner sense of confidence and calm we can see ourselves as leaders.

Maybe not leaders in the formal sense but leaders in the sense that we can positively model and influence those around us.

Those who may be relying on us or looking to us for support and guidance.

Let's start by just allowing our body to settle into a comfortable position.

Back slightly straight,

Shoulders relaxed.

You can close your eyes or keep them slightly open.

And as I mentioned in this practice we're gonna explore the sensation of what it means to lead with an inner sense of confidence and calm.

Especially what it means to lead with a sense of purpose.

The best leaders have a sense of clarity.

Clarity of purpose.

This is how they engage with the world around them and how they lead others.

They're able to connect with people on a very human level.

And to do that we must be mindful.

We must be present.

We must be able to respond rather than react.

Let's take a full deep breath in together and a long exhale out.

Letting our attention just rest on the breath as you breathe naturally in and out through the nose.

As you rest on the breath I'm gonna be asking you a series of questions.

But instead of thinking about these questions or generating responses in an intellectual way,

I invite you to just allow the questions to sink in like pebbles being dropped into a pond.

And I want you to be sensitive to any ripples that you notice.

So when you hear the word leader know that it means how you want to be present anytime that you're interacting with others.

As a leader what is most important to you?

What are you aiming to achieve as a leader?

As I ask these questions just notice the thoughts,

The feelings,

The images that come to mind as you breathe in and out through the nose.

What are the values that guide you?

What may be preventing you from living those values each day?

Just continue breathing in and breathing out bringing attention to your body noticing the reactions,

Noticing if the mind is watering wandering or if it's attaching to any particular thoughts or feelings that arise.

Now bringing it all together imagine yourself leading with purpose,

Clear,

Calm,

Confident.

What does that feel like?

Invite that sensation into every cell of your body and notice how the body reacts.

One thing we can do from a place of confidence and clarity is influence the world around us in a way that aligns with our values and our purpose.

And may you carry on about the rest of your day infused with this deep sense of confidence and calm as the natural leader that you are.
