Welcome to your five minute weekly meditation.
My name is Christy and I'll guide you through a short steady moment to reconnect,
Not by doing more,
But by finding a little space in the middle.
So find a position that feels right for you.
That might be seated,
Lying down or resting back.
When you arrive there,
Let your shoulders drop,
Let your hands fall where they naturally land and take a moment to arrive just as you are.
Let's start by noticing the breath,
No need to change it,
Just feel it move in and out.
This meditation is about balance,
Not perfect balance,
Not getting it right,
But meeting yourself somewhere in the middle.
So we're not pushing,
But we're not giving up.
We're just showing up and staying with whatever's here.
If your mind tells you it's not enough,
That you should be calmer or more focused,
You can just let that thought pass through.
Finding balance doesn't mean doing it perfectly,
It means being willing to stay with yourself even when it feels a little messy.
Let's take a few rounds of even breath,
Four counts in and four counts out.
You can count it softly in your head or just feel it.
Breathe in,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Breathe out,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Keep going at your own pace,
To your own count.
Let the breath help you stay steady.
Let your body find its own version of balance,
Whatever that feels like today.
Some days,
Balance looks like feeling strong and centered.
And other days,
It looks like simply making it through.
Both are real.
Both are valid.
You don't have to go to your limit.
There's no need to hold everything so tightly.
Just find the middle and rest there for a while.
Take one more breath in.
And a slow breath out.
Letting the breath return to its own natural rhythm.
Letting your body soften just a little more.
Thank you for joining me in this five-minute meditation.
And remember,
Life is a balance of holding on and letting go.
Namaste.
