Welcome,

And thank you for joining me in meditation.

I'm so grateful for this means of connecting with the shared intention of taking time to sit in stillness and to access that inner,

Silent,

Eternal space of being.

For when you are in that space within you,

And I am in that space within me,

We are one.

Sometimes we forget this as we move through our busy,

Individuated lives.

We fool ourselves into believing that we're separate from each other and that it's me versus you,

Us versus them.

And carrying the sense of separation,

We lose our peace.

When we forget how very connected we are,

We become misaligned with the truth of our being,

With our very essence.

The wisdom traditions teach us that peace is the way.

It may not always feel in our experience however like the easy way.

Peace begins as a choice that we make.

It begins with intention,

And eventually with practice,

When we repeatedly come back to peace in each moment of our choosing.

We allow peace to become our default,

Natural response.

Our brains become wired for peace.

This is the practice,

And it begins very personally with the choice to come to meditation and sit in stillness,

To sit with the intention for peace.

And this personal experience ultimately transcends us and extends beyond to the other through every encounter and every choice,

And in this way,

Forges our oneness and our unity.

So let's sit now and meditate with the intention of establishing ourselves in peace as we connect to the ever-present stillness and silence within.

With your eyes softly closed or your gaze lowered,

Begin to bring your attention to your breath,

Breathing easily and naturally.

Notice if there are any areas in your body where you're holding tension,

And as you breathe,

Let your exhale be deep and long and carry this tension away with it.

Soften your brow and relax your jaw.

Relax your shoulders and your arms.

Let your seat feel supported and allow your breath to move easily and effortlessly in through your nose and out through your nose.

Remember to allow the breath to be gentle and relaxed.

There's no need to force or to concentrate on it.

Simply hold your attention on the area of your body where you most easily connect with the inflow and outflow of your breath,

Perhaps your nostrils or the back of your throat or maybe your chest or your belly,

Breathing in and breathing out easily and effortlessly.

When you notice your mind wander away from your breath to a noise or to a feeling or sensation in your body,

Treat this as you would any other thought and gently bring your attention back to the sound and flow of your breath.

If at any time your body feels discomfort,

Simply move around a bit to gently reestablish a comfortable position,

Then bring your attention back to your breath.

As you meditate on your breath,

You may notice it getting faster or slower,

Louder or fainter.

However it changes,

Continue peacefully listening.

If you notice yourself holding on to your breath or any tension and not fully exhaling,

Allow yourself to sigh out a long exhale and then gently continue breathing at a natural,

Gentle pace.

Continue this way until you hear the chime.

Like always,

You can listen at the comedic sweep of your breath using either Cited or Laughter出來 and You You You You You You You You You You Continuing with your eyes closed,

Sit easily for a moment.

Resting in stillness,

Resting in peaceful awareness,

Let's introduce five intentions.

As I share them,

Let them settle into the quiet space that we've nurtured.

Peace in my body.

Peace in my body.

Peace in my body.

Peace in my thoughts.

Peace in my thoughts.

Peace in my thoughts.

Peace through my words.

Peace through my words.

Peace through my words.

Peace through my actions.

Peace through my actions.

Peace through my actions.

Today I choose peace.

Today I choose peace.

Today I choose peace.

Now please bring hands together at heart center in gratitude for this time sharing and choosing peace together.

This is conscious evolution.

This is the reason we sit.

Namaste.

You
