Gently close down your eyes and let the vibrant colors of the screen fade.
Allow yourself to tune inward,
Softening into the darkness behind your eyelids.
Maybe for the first time today,
Become aware of your breath.
Take a deep inhale through the nose,
Filling your body with fresh prana,
Sacred life force.
As you exhale,
Open your mouth,
Sigh it out,
Feel your shoulders relax and melt down away from your ears.
Another deep breath in through the nose,
Giving yourself a full reset,
Calming your nervous system.
Hold the breath at the top,
Just for a moment,
Suspending the breath.
And exhale fully and completely through the mouth,
Allowing even more softening.
One more time,
A deep inhale through the nose.
Suspending the breath.
And exhale,
Give it a sigh.
And then tuning into a steady breath,
In and out through the nose.
And placing both hands over your heart.
Noticing the gentle rise and fall of your chest.
Notice how your belly is expanding on the inhale and gently contracting on the exhale.
And now tune into your heart.
Maybe you're even noticing your heartbeat connecting your hands to your heart.
And take a moment here to think of an intention for today.
How do you want to feel?
What kind of an experience would you like to have?
What is something that you would like to invite into your day?
Perhaps it is compassion,
Self-love,
Patience.
Perhaps it is more focus or energy.
And imagine yourself,
Imagine in front of your mind's eye what that day would look like when you embody that intention.
And now bring that feeling from your mind's eye also into your body.
How would that person feel?
How would you speak to yourself?
How would you speak to others?
In what way would you go about your day?
And taking that vision of today and place it like a little seedling of golden light into your heart.
Taking another deep breath in,
Filling the chest,
Breathing into the hands,
Opening the heart space.
Hold the breath here just for a moment,
Feeling yourself suspended.
And exhale,
Sigh it out.
Bring the hands together in front of the heart,
Feel the palms pressing into each other.
Bow the head down,
Taking a moment to offer gratitude to your body,
To your breath for this new day and for your intention.
And whenever you feel ready,
You may blink your eyes open and enjoy this beautiful new day.
