Thank you for joining me today in this calming meditation to overcome overwhelm.

Overwhelm is a natural part of life and just know that these feelings are temporary and they will pass,

Just like the waves rise and fall into the ocean.

When you give your mind the opportunity to quiet and shut down,

Allow your breath to soothe you and comfort you and hold you,

You can begin to feel relief.

I know it can be difficult when you're in the moment where your chest is tight and you're holding your breath,

But the first thing I want you to do is exhale.

Let it all out and let it all go.

And now I want you to take a really big,

Deep breath.

Inhale nice and full,

Filling up your entire body and exhale with a big sigh.

Inhale,

Let your shoulders drop,

Let your body soften and give yourself permission to surrender.

If you haven't already,

Please find a comfortable space where you can sit or lie down and just close your eyes.

Begin to notice your breath.

You can place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly.

This signals to your body that you are safe.

Press those palms in and start to feel the vibration of your spiritual being,

Which is 99% of what you are.

We are 99% spiritual and 1% physical.

If you can adopt that perspective,

Just for now,

That we are spiritual beings in physical form and that we have more control than we think.

I want you to set down the to-do list.

I want you to forget about the finances,

Forget about the responsibilities,

Forget about your new year's resolution or your diet plan.

Just let it all go.

Just for now.

I want to remind you that you have your breath,

You have your heartbeat,

You have your digestive system,

Your cardiovascular system,

Your nervous system.

They're all working without you trying,

Without you even thinking about it.

So just know that you're accomplishing so much and you are perfect right here,

Right now,

In this moment as we call in ease and grace into your body to help calm and quiet the mind.

So just begin to lengthen your breath,

Elongating your inhales and exhales,

Breathing in nice and full and deep,

Filling up the lungs from the bottom to the top.

And as you exhale,

Just slowly let it go,

Feeling the lungs deflate,

Feeling the ribs back together.

Just do it again.

Big inhale and exhale.

Inhale.

One more time.

Inhaling,

Merging body,

Mind and spirit.

And as you exhale,

Release worry and fear and doubt and shame and regret.

We're going to begin Ujjayi breath now.

Audible,

Powerful,

Ocean-like breathing.

This is yogic breath.

Begin by constricting the back of your throat,

Creating this audible,

Ocean-like sound.

And exhale,

Slowly keeping that throat constricted.

Inhaling and exhaling.

That beautiful breath is quieting the mind.

It's calming and regulating your nervous system.

It's activating the lymphatic system,

Allowing yourself to begin to detox,

Allowing the fluids to move freely in your body so you can rid yourself of them.

And as you exhale,

Just begin to become aware of the sensations in your body.

Feel the weight of your physical presence pressing down against the surface beneath you,

And just acknowledge any areas of tension without judgment.

Just simply observe.

Continue to breathe.

Continue to soften and give yourself permission to surrender.

Give yourself permission to set down the bag,

Get out of your own way,

And allow the universe,

The powers that reside in the ethers,

The powers that reside within you,

To assist you.

As you breathe in,

Imagine you're breathing in calm and clarity.

As you exhale,

Envision releasing all the stress,

All the chaos,

All the noise.

Imagine there's a quiet hum deep within your brain,

This beautiful hum of simply existing.

Just know that,

In this moment,

You can release the overwhelm and give yourself this opportunity to reset and begin again.

Nowhere to go,

Nothing to do,

No obligations but to just be.

Just breathe and just release,

Surrendering to the universal flow.

I call in all of our angels and highest guides.

I call in and connect to universal source energy,

Calling in Solaris,

The golden ray of the solar sun,

And imagine this beautiful,

Golden,

Warm,

Healing light enveloping you like a cocoon,

Wrapping around you like a blanket of peace.

Silently repeat to yourself,

I allow all of my angels and guides to help me,

To assist me,

Bringing me out of this state of overwhelm and bringing me into a state of grace.

I am perfect exactly as I am.

I tap into the quantum field and I know that anything is possible.

I call in magic and miracles and wonder.

I know I am capable of creating the life I want to live in.

I am at peace.

I am filled with bliss.

I am grounded and connected to the earth.

Just take a few more minutes to stay in this moment.

Just breathe in and out with that beautiful ujjayi breath.

Gently come back to me now.

Come back into your body and return to your normal breath.

Wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.

Circle your ankles and circle your wrists,

And rock your head from side to side.

And when you're ready,

Just open your eyes.

Just take a moment to do a little scan.

And notice if the feelings of overwhelm have calmed.

And if you feel more in control of your emotions and your reaction,

Know that every moment is an opportunity to begin again.

And be proud of yourself for doing that right here,

Right now.

Take a big breath in,

Maybe stretch your arms overhead,

And exhale with a sigh.

Take this peace with you into your day.

Namaste,

My friend.

Namaste.
