In our journey towards living in authenticity, it's important to recognize the ways we may have compromised our true selves for love. Where we may hide parts of who we are to gain approval or affection from others. This meditation provides a safe space for you to take an honest look within, and can aid you in releasing guilt, judgment, and criticism, allowing you to step into who you really are with more ease and grace. Transcript

Please find a comfortable position,

Either sitting or lying down.

Just being sure that you are comfortable and your body is supported and you are feeling at ease.

And when you're ready,

Just close your eyes and start to notice your breath.

Just notice the gentle rise and fall of your belly.

Notice the natural rhythm and cadence of your breath.

And then slowly begin to lengthen your inhales and exhales.

Place your attention and your awareness on your heart,

On your belly.

And as you inhale,

Slow,

Deep,

Fluid,

Intentional breaths.

Filling up the lungs from the bottom to the top.

And as you exhale,

Release,

Feeling the lungs deflate,

Feeling the ribs knit back together at the bottom of the breath.

Inhale again,

Nice and full and slow.

And exhale,

Let it go.

One more time,

Big,

Full inhale.

And as you exhale,

With a sigh,

Let the shoulders drop,

Let your body soften and set the intention to surrender.

In our journey towards authenticity,

It's important to recognize the ways in which we may have compromised our true selves for love and acceptance.

Begin by gently bringing any moments to mind where you felt the need to change or compromise or hide parts of yourself to gain approval or affection from others.

Just acknowledge these experiences without judgment,

Understanding that this is all part of your path.

It's okay.

It's okay.

It's okay.

As you inhale,

Breathe in love and light.

Hold that in your body,

Hold it in your cells,

Hold it in your heart.

Imagine yourself being immersed in this golden orb of healing light.

And as you exhale,

Imagine that you're releasing the need to compromise,

To settle,

To justify,

Allowing your true self to emerge with each inhale.

Remind yourself that you deserve love for who you truly are.

And when you exhale,

Let go of the belief that you must be anything to anyone other than who you truly are.

You are worthy of love exactly as you are.

Love yourself for who you truly are.

Love yourself the way that you want to be loved.

Forgive yourself.

Let go of judgment and criticism.

Keep breathing and softening and releasing,

Feeling the weight of these compromises,

Lifting out of your cells,

Lifting out of your shoulders,

Out of your neck,

Out of your belly.

Creating space for genuine acceptance and self-love.

Breathing in,

Telling yourself,

I am free to express myself openly and honestly.

I attract relationships that honor who I really am.

My authenticity is my greatest strength.

And I release the fear of losing love by being me.

I am enough exactly as I am.

Breathing in and breathing out,

Just focus on your breath.

And ask yourself these questions.

What is it?

That I felt the need to compromise for?

What type of validation was I seeking?

Is the fear of being alone more powerful than the fear of being seen?

Make the commitment to yourself right now in this moment to be who you really are.

Unafraid,

Unapologetically whole,

Allow your soul to shine,

Your heart light to shine.

Releasing any judgments of any choices that you've made in your past.

Any judgments of any choices that you've made in your past.

Every breath,

Every moment is an opportunity to begin again.

And you can begin right here,

Right now in this moment,

To commit to yourself,

To your authentic being.

And make a commitment to love you exactly as you are.

Feel into who that person is.

Set the intention to connect with your true self.

Embrace the idea of living authentically,

Where you honor your thoughts and feelings and beliefs without judgment.

This is a safe space for you to explore and embrace who you really are.

Bring your awareness and your attention to this present moment.

Feel the surface supporting your body.

Feel the weight of your limbs.

Tune in with the rhythm of your breath.

Allow yourself to be fully present,

Free from past regrets,

Free from future worries.

In this space,

You are free to be your genuine self,

Which is beautiful and real and loving and whole.

Telling yourself again,

I am worthy of being my true self.

I embrace my unique qualities with kindness and love.

I trust my inner wisdom and intuition.

I release the need for external validation.

I am enough,

Exactly as I am.

Keep breathing.

Keep allowing yourself to release judgment from the past,

Release worry for the future.

Release worry for the future.

Bring yourself right here,

Right now into this moment where you are safe,

You are whole,

You are at peace,

You are at ease.

Imagine these lower vibration frequencies lifting out of your cells.

And as they do,

The golden orb of healing light can take its place and fill your cells and the spaces in between and begin to heal and begin to harmonize,

Begin to recalibrate to a higher frequency,

A higher vibration,

Higher timeline.

The more you authentically express yourself with abandon,

Without fear,

The more you can embrace the love that is always around you.

The love that is always within you.

Love yourself the way you want to be loved.

See yourself the way you want to be seen.

Feel how you want to feel.

Do it into your heart.

Feel the beautiful beat.

This rhythm connected to Mother Earth,

Connected to divine consciousness,

Connected to all there is.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

And allow yourself to bask in the beauty of this moment just a little bit longer.

See if you can let go just a little bit more.

See if you can intentionally surrender and sink in a little bit deeper,

Tuning in a little bit clearer to the authentic side of yourself.

Gradually bring your awareness back into your body.

Wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.

Circle your ankles and circle your wrists and rock your head.

From side to side.

When you're ready,

Just open your eyes.

Take a look around you.

Take a big inhale.

And release.

Take the beauty and the authenticity of this simple moment with you into your day,

Knowing that you are enough exactly as you are.

You are worthy.

You are unique.

You are amazing.

Being truly authentic to myself and with others is a raw journey of realness and felt (grok) connection which is palpable to both. This guided meditation reminds me of my path to no longer diminish my light to meet otherโ€™s expectations of who I should be.
