Begin again. Turn to this meditation when your day hasn't started on the right foot or you ran out of bed. Perhaps you were woken up by your children or maybe you’re just feeling a little stuck this morning. Good morning,

I'm Bailey Smith.

This meditation is designed to provide you with a restart for your day.

Whether you've jumped out of bed on the wrong foot,

Maybe you were woken up by little ones in your house,

Or perhaps you're just feeling a little stuck this morning.

This meditation is here to allow you the opportunity to begin again.

Every morning is a new day,

And this is a chance to start again.

To begin,

Find a comfortable seat.

Start to roll your shoulders up towards your ears and then just allow them to fall down your back.

Take a deep breath in and exhale out of your mouth.

Twice more,

Inhale.

Big sigh,

Let it go.

Fullest breath of your morning so far,

Fill up.

Big audible exhale.

Say good morning here to your body.

Good morning to your lungs,

To your environment.

Feel your sitting bones as they connect down into the seat beneath you.

Start to visualize the base of your spine and how it ascends up,

Up,

Up.

Through your low back,

Your mid back,

Your upper back,

Through your neck.

Feel it ascend out the crown of your head.

Allow yourself to settle here into stillness.

Just take a few moments to notice.

Notice any sensations within your body.

Notice any thoughts that might be racing through your mind.

And then notice your breath as it enters and leaves.

Inhale draw the energy up,

Up,

Up out the crown of your head.

And as you exhale let the breath release down through the base of your spine.

Inhale to extend and expand upwards.

And exhale to allow yourself to be supported into the earth.

Down,

Down,

Down.

And through the crown of your head on this next inhale.

Start to visualize the sunlight from the day as it washes over you.

From the top of your head,

Over your face,

Across your hair,

Your neck,

Shoulders,

Arms,

Torso,

Legs,

Seat.

Just feel the warmth of the sunlight from this new day,

From this new beginning.

Feel the sun's warmth as it touches your skin,

Completely washing over you.

To allow the warmth of the sun to wash over you,

Just feel that sweet embrace,

That hug from Mother Nature.

Allow any sounds to wash over you unless they need any attention.

Just let them enter and then allow them to pass.

And just as you feel the warmth of the sun as it exists above you,

Shining down upon you,

Feel the weight of your body into the support of the earth beneath you.

Allow your sitting bones to sink into the lap of the earth.

On every inhale you expand your breath up towards the sun.

And as you exhale you allow the breath to drop down into the earth.

Exhaling to lift up,

Exhaling to drop down.

And through this balance of sky and earth,

Notice your body in between.

Perhaps you can start to feel space touching your body,

Wrapping around each of your fingers.

Notice the space as it exists around your arms,

Your shoulders,

The back of your body,

The back of your heart,

The back of your head.

And as you notice space touching you,

Feel your body touching space.

And notice the intersection of air and earth,

Space and physical body.

And then start to draw your attention into sensations within your body.

These sensations may arise as pulsing or throbbing.

These sensations that remind us that we are human,

That we are living,

That we are alive.

Maybe you start to feel the sensation of your breath,

Its rhythm,

Its pulse.

Perhaps you feel little movements in your fingers and your toes.

The beat of your own heart or the rise and fall of your belly.

And allow yourself to return to these sensations anytime that you need to be reminded of your humanness,

Your aliveness.

If at any point the breath is difficult to access,

Just return back to these sensations again and again.

As you give yourself permission here to be fully present,

Fully aware,

Fully conscious of each of the sensations,

The feelings within your body,

Perhaps you start to curate a dedication for the day.

What do you wish to bring into the day ahead?

And from this dedication,

Allow yourself to just sit with the dedication.

Allow it to be absorbed within your physical body,

Your mind,

Your heart.

Prepare to remain as present as you can while formulating this dedication.

And then from this point of dedication,

Can you now create just three priorities for the day ahead?

Just three.

And if three feels too large,

Too big,

Too much,

Then just one.

One step at a time.

One moment at a time.

One day at a time.

One sunrise at a time.

And as you bring these priorities into mind,

Go ahead and take a big inhale,

Fill up towards the sky.

And then send it out,

Let it go.

Inhale the breath down,

Down,

Down into the earth.

Big inhale.

Big exhale.

Take your right hand to your left shoulder,

Your left hand to your right side body.

Give yourself a hug,

A squeeze.

Feel the warmth of your palms touching you,

Embracing you,

Holding you.

And in this moment,

You are exactly where you were meant to be.

Allow your chin to fall gently towards your chest.

Take a moment just to acknowledge or practice your time.

When it feels right,

You can start to softly blink your eyes open.

Welcome the light of the day back in and onward.

Thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you.

Namaste.
