Grieving Meditation Before we begin this grieving meditation,

I would like to share with you a personal story.

In November 2022,

My partner,

My business partner and my love passed away.

I am very aware of the rawness of grief and how it affects every single one of us.

And with that in mind,

As you listen to this,

I want you to know that my heart is with you as you absorb the words from this meditation.

Let's begin.

Welcome to this safe and comforting space,

Where we are united by a shared human experience,

The experience of loss.

Today our journey is one of healing,

One of understanding and one of cherishing the memory of a loved one.

As you settle into a position that feels comfortable and secure,

Close your eyes and draw your attention to your breath.

Feel the rhythm of your inhales and exhales.

Feel the life force within you.

In this moment,

You are supported and held.

As we delve deeper into this space of reflection,

We start by acknowledging the pain in your heart.

The pain of loss is an echo of the love that you hold.

It is a testament to the depth of your feelings.

Take a deep breath in and as you exhale,

Give yourself permission to feel this pain.

To understand it as a symbol of your love.

Each tear,

Each pang of sadness,

Each quiet sigh,

They are all symbols of the love you carry.

Remember,

It's ok to grieve.

It's ok to hurt.

With every breath,

Allow yourself the grace of feeling.

It is ok.

Now let's take a moment to imagine your grief as a tangible object.

It might take the form of a stone,

Heavy and cold,

Or a cloud,

Airy and vast.

See it,

Feel it,

Acknowledge its existence.

This grief is a part of you,

A response to the immense loss you've experienced.

It's not something to be hurried or dismissed,

But something to be understood and accepted.

As you breathe in,

Visualize making space in your heart for this grief.

Cradling it gently,

With compassion and understanding.

Breathe in acceptance,

Exhale resistance.

Keeping your heart open,

Allow your loved one's memory to gently surface in your mind.

Reflect on the moments of joy,

The shared laughter,

The quiet companionship.

Maybe it was a shared meal,

A shared sunrise,

Or a shared secret.

Feel the warmth of these memories,

The timeless love that continues to exist.

Breathe in the love that was.

Breathe out the love that is.

Timeless,

Enduring,

Always present.

Now,

Imagine your grief transforming,

Changing form.

Picture it becoming a flock of birds,

Each carrying a piece of your sorrow,

Your pain.

As you breathe in,

See these birds preparing to take flight.

And as you exhale,

See them fly off into the distance,

Carrying your pain with them.

They're not taking away the love or the memories,

Just the sharp sting of loss,

The raw edges of sorrow.

Feel the pain drift away.

And finally now,

Visualize a warm,

Healing light surrounding you,

A comforting embrace.

It doesn't erase the pain,

But it soothes,

It heals,

It promises brighter days while cherishing the past.

Breathe in healing,

Exhale peace.

As you slowly come back to the space you were in,

Know that it's okay to grieve,

And it's okay to heal in your own time.

Carry this sense of peace and healing with you as you navigate your journey of grief.

Remember this is here for you always.

And I am here for you always.

Sending you much love.

Namaste.
