Transcript

You're dropping into that centered space,

Connecting to the flow of your breath.

And doing that,

Just set into motion,

Oh,

This is your time and stillness to nourish your mind,

Your body,

And your spirit.

Feeling the breath flow in and feeling it flow out,

Just bring your awareness there and invite the body to decompress and melt into this moment.

Bringing yourself here to this present moment,

Lovingly and compassionately.

So if the mind wants to go off to your to-do list,

Just lovingly steer it back.

This is the moment to be lived.

There's no other place I need to be,

Nothing I need to do,

And also check judgment at the door.

Just invite yourself to live in an expanded awareness,

Heightened awareness of when judgment,

That inner critic,

Speaks.

Being the master of your thoughts,

You gently and lovingly tell it,

Nope,

You're not going to hold space when I'm in stillness.

This is a time that I'm exploring myself,

I'm learning about myself so I can evolve and be the spiritual being that I want to be in human form.

In order to be that person,

We have to let go of judgment because that can eat us alive.

All the lower energies that are associated with it.

Guilt,

Shame,

This is endless.

But always greet yourself with patience,

Kindness.

Learn to cultivate those characteristics and self-love.

Many of us find foreign.

It's so vitally important.

In today's meditation,

It's all about releasing guilt.

Very powerful word.

Guilt is an interesting emotional mindset.

We don't always define our feelings or our thoughts as one of guilt,

But many poisonous qualities of negative self-talk can stem from guilt.

Some qualities are unforgiveness,

Resentment,

Anger,

As well as judgment.

The shoulds in life,

You should do this,

Or you should do that.

And the self-loathing voice that this is not a good way to be.

These thought patterns breed the sensation and mindset of guilt.

Guilt for not being that perceived good quality.

Judgment.

Quite fascinating if you think about it.

Guilt is like a cement block tied to your ankle as you're staying and trying to stay afloat.

It's exhausting.

And we've been taught to accept that feeling guilty is normal.

By feeling this,

Everything is all right.

This is just a way of living.

It's as normal as breathing.

See,

In some sick way,

Being hard on ourselves is the easy way out.

So today I challenge you to live in awareness of your own guilt and begin to release this feeling.

Recognize it,

Identify it.

Notice when you're perpetuating it.

Instead,

Choose to understand and accept why you feel this way.

Provide yourself compassion and move into that forgiveness towards self so you're able to let go and feel at peace.

And every week when we meet here in meditation,

You're cultivating these skills of mindfulness so you can recognize,

Live in awareness of these emotions such as guilt and how to move it out.

So explore this today in our meditation with no judgment.

How does guilt come packaged in my own life?

Recovery from regret,

Resentment,

Disappointment,

Low self-esteem,

Self-confidence,

Worthiness.

More we're able to connect in our stillness,

This act of being,

Being.

We're doing it right now.

Exploring self,

Looking at ourselves with detached awareness,

Free of judgment,

Silent witness to your own life movie.

Your own attachment to past events and actions.

And you're better able to implement and understand compassion and forgiveness,

Acceptance of past events and actions and choose to let go of them as they are not a part of your here and now.

And then you can move into and experience inner peace,

Harmony and joy in the present moment.

So we'll begin by just really connecting it within.

And I want you to imagine just surrounded by beautiful light.

I love to put myself in a cloud.

It's my favorite visual.

Cause it represents the heavens to me.

Placing yourself on that beautiful cloud surrounded by light all around you.

And you feel safe and secure on your cloud.

Take a moment,

Create that and feel yourself total surrender.

The support of that cloud,

Just like you do when you lay in your bed and you let go to go to sleep.

Feel the warmth,

The safety and the security,

The comfort of your own cloud.

And as you rest in this light and on this cloud,

See if with every breath,

You can invite this light,

This transparency in your body.

You begin to feel one with the cloud and the light.

It's like you're almost losing sides of the physical form and you're just a big ball of light.

Feel it flowing through you.

Really activating this higher sense of self for a moment more.

How does my body feel in this moment in time?

You may be in space,

In space you may be in space,

In space.

You You Mentally where am I am I here and now Just enjoying this Am I able to greet this moment with just a blank slate No judgment.

We're striving for just peace and Just being here now And emotionally Here and now in my present Not what I came in here with But where I am now You Can you think of a time When you felt guilt I Should be this I should feel this I Should be a better mother a better daughter better wife Better son brother Husband You see if you can view it with no emotion and no attachment Silent witness to your own life movie But notice as you think of that time Where do you feel it to a body's skin?

Where do you feel it to a body scan in your body?

And you might not be able to identify,

But see if you can As you recreate the sensation in your mind through thoughts scan your body.

Where do you feel this emotion?

And thought In your physical body In your physical body How do you feel emotionally in this moment in time as emotion is created by this thought?

Let It pass through your body let your attention pass through your body as you're recalling this experience And locate the sensation the memory brings up Could be pressure in the chest and tightness in the gut and the throat Are you holding where do you hold?

The emotional experience how Identify that area And if you don't see any abnormal visual acuity or rigidity Anything increase sensation Com zgiv Now,

Identify that area.

And if you don't feel it resonating anywhere,

Bring your attention to your heart center and say,

It hurts here.

And if you feel it in more than one area,

Bring your attention to the next area and say,

It hurts here.

And your body knows,

Every cell in your body knows when it's at a balance,

When the experience is physical discomfort.

Befriend the sensation and the wisdom that it holds because the pain is actually leading you to wholeness.

You may even feel like you want to put your hand on it.

You recognize it as a feeling.

These feelings are happening inside your body now as you remember the pain,

The feeling of guilt.

Even though nothing is actually taking place in the material world right here and now,

You're remembering what happened.

And your body is reacting with muscle contraction or hormonal secretions or other responses within you.

You have the choice in how you interpret and respond to this emotional turbulence.

You're taking responsibility.

You're taking responsibility for your own feelings.

Doesn't mean you're feeling guilty.

Instead,

It means you recognize your ability to respond to painful situations in new and creative ways.

And now you're able to take responsibility for those feelings and you can gain the power to make the pain melt away.

And you're not going to blame anyone else for causing that pain.

You're showing yourself pain within yourself.

You don't depend on anyone else to make it go away.

Your consciousness is the key.

Hold that understanding that your consciousness can release you from that guilt.

Now using the power of your breath,

Imagine your exhale is holding the intention of releasing that tension.

So for the next few minutes,

Just feel the painful sensation leaving your body with every exhale.

The inhale is bringing in the light.

Total energy of being connected to the wholeness of the light.

Incending breath in that region as you let it go on the exhale.

We'll stay in silence for a moment.

Ied You You You And if it assists by imagining that you could speak to that person who was involved in the original painful incident What would you say to that person now?

Bear in mind that he or she was not the real cause of the pain the real cause was your response In your transformed state you are now free So you can share what happened without blame manipulation or seeking approval And perhaps they intended to cause you pain and maybe you collaborated in that intention unconsciously But you're no longer intending to fall into such trap However you want to spin it,

But do you feel a need to say Speak your mind Whatever feels right to you You're taking ownership and responsibility You're taking responsibility for your actions You're taking responsibility for your actions You're taking responsibility for your actions You're taking ownership and responsibility For your own response You're claiming your sense of power To recognize and live in awareness and mindfulness Of these cycles Not to get in them again Checking in,

How does your body feel physically?

Are you able to embrace the lightness?

As you release the power of guilt That cement block The heaviness The heaviness Have you awakened a sense of self?

So to live in awareness of when that emotional response shows up And notice the region of the body Remember guilt can come packaged in many different forms Might not use the word guilt Recognize what part of the body was involved and where you felt it So when you feel something there,

You're really expanding your awareness of your physical body And its connection to your mental and emotional state of being And you're using the vehicle of your spiritualness You're really tapping in the connectedness The oneness The awakenness of being connected to the light To really use that to help and assist In being the master of every thought and every emotion and every physicality Body Powerful stuff,

You are the master You are your best expert The power of intention,

Intuition,

Connectedness,

Sky's the limit So celebrate Celebrate the process Celebrate the process Celebrate the process Celebrate the painful experiences that had taken place as the valuable material that helped you move into a higher level of consciousness What was previously a disconnected,

Connected,

And connected state of being What was previously a disconnected,

Disconnected,

And disconnected state of being What was previously a disconnected,

Destructive,

And disabling part of your psyche Is now integrated in a contributing power source Your spiritual growth,

Goals Instead of responding with this painful reflex Using it as an opportunity for spiritual evolution and transformation I want you to use this exercise whenever you feel upset To free yourself from emotional turbulence I want you to use this exercise whenever you feel upset To free yourself from emotional turbulence How do you feel mentally,

Emotionally,

Here and now?

I'll say a couple of affirmations and if they,

I'll say it,

If it resonates then say it to the cells in your body Quietly to yourself I remind myself that I only do what I can do at the time based on my level of understanding at that time I remind myself that I only do what I can do at the time based on my level of understanding at that time I remind myself that I only do what I can do at the time based on my level of understanding at that time And I forgive myself for things I've said,

Fully connected to the divine Embrace a feeling of understanding acceptance,

Yourself,

And a sense of lightness As you embrace the wisdom of mindfully living,

Going faithfully forward to minimize such negative emotions as guilt Recognizing the toxicity it has on your physical body,

Emotional well-being,

And mental state of mind Feel the lightness,

The ability to soar I rest in peace,

Fully connected to the divine As I release this sensation and choose to bathe in the light of grace I rest in peace,

Feel the lens of expansiveness and the awareness and the mindfulness of your state of being,

Thank you so much. I’ve been trying to unpack feelings of guilt with my beloved pet passing away...the mantra “you did what you did at the time with the knowledge that you had in that moment” gave me more of a sense of peace than I’ve had in the last few days. There’s nothing more I could have done. This meditation helped me see that.
