Hey guys,

This is Brandon and this is your class on intuition and finding your own answers.

Let's just jump right in.

So with the word intuition that can mean different things to different people when you just use it as a blanket term out there in the world.

To some people when you say intuition they think of sort of TV show psychics seeing into the future,

Telling you what's going to happen next.

Some people when you say intuition it's when they suddenly know where their car keys are lost and they run to the spot and find it.

Whereas other people just use the word intuition to kind of describe when they made a choice because they didn't really know what to choose and so they want to feel better about it.

So they call it,

They intuitively picked a choice.

We're going to go into a little bit deeper of what intuition is and how to access it.

So the dictionary definition of intuition is knowing something without a conscious reason as to why.

And so we all have hits of intuition,

Things that happen in our life that are unexplainable.

We just know something somehow.

And so one kind of funny example that I have is when I was a kid,

Maybe six or seven years old,

I flew to my stepmom's family in Chicago to visit them and my old grandma asks me if I think she's going to live long enough to meet my girlfriend.

And I was so young I didn't know anything about her age or how long she would live or anything like that.

But I had this intuitive hit that no,

She wasn't going to live long enough to meet my first girlfriend.

And so I just said that.

I said,

No,

I don't think you will.

I know you won't.

And my stepmom looked at me in total shock and horror because I just embarrassed her in front of her family by seemingly insulting my grandma and calling her old.

But that wasn't what I was thinking at all.

I just had the intuitive sense that that's what would happen.

I didn't mean anything by it.

Another example that's a little bit different was when I was a bit older of a kid,

We were up in the mountains for a snowboarding trip and we were about to leave the house to drive back.

And everybody was in a real big rush to get back to the house.

They wanted to beat the traffic and get back.

So we had enough time to unpack and unwind.

And all of a sudden I just got this horrible stomach ache and just started vomiting and curling over in the bathroom and I couldn't leave at all.

And it took 30,

40 minutes before I was okay enough to get in the car and drive.

And it had turned out that had we left when we were planning to,

There was a seven car pileup that happened right where we would have been.

We would have been right smack in the middle of that car accident.

And so that's more of an example of me not having some sort of intuitive knowingness or intuitive vision as to what was going to happen.

I missed the message and so I felt it on a body level.

My body got sick to convey that message to me that I needed to stay put.

So part of intuition is being able to sense what's going on in the world around us,

What's happening to receive these messages that let us know.

Another part of tapping into our intuition is to know what's you and what's not you.

What energy is yours,

What energy is not yours,

What thoughts are yours,

What thoughts aren't yours.

So you could be going about your day and this happened to a friend of mine where she was at home and she had a clogged sink and some issues with her plumbing and so she had called a plumber to come out and as soon as the plumber pulled up in the driveway she started to get these thoughts of,

Oh I hate myself,

I hate myself,

I hate myself.

And she's a person that doesn't really think like that and so she's like,

Huh that's really weird,

Why am I suddenly so negative?

And the plumber comes in kind of a glum look on his face and fixes the issue and she's still feeling that the whole time.

She's still feeling a lot of self-hatred and judgement and resistance to her day and as soon as he leaves and drives down the road she notices that she's not thinking that anymore.

She starts to like herself again.

She doesn't have those thoughts.

And so that's an example of when she was somewhat aware of it happening,

Of her picking up on somebody else's thoughts,

Somebody else's energy.

It was the plumber that was in that level of self-hatred,

Not my friend.

But most people that haven't really practiced having another intuition,

They haven't really gone deeper in that way,

They would continue thinking like that for the rest of the day.

They would pick it up and keep thinking that they hate themselves.

Another example is somebody who is going about their day and maybe they walk past a king super or some store and there's workers that are on strike out front that are angry because they can't work and make money and they have to stand there and be on strike and you walk past to get your lunch and all of a sudden you're feeling frustrated and angry and snappy at people at your work or at your next thing that you're going to and you just kind of took on that energy,

Took on their anger and frustration and feeling like they were just standing around doing nothing and maybe you started to feel like you couldn't get anything done in your day.

So one important aspect of developing your intuition and being able to find your own answers is being able to manage energy,

Being able to know what energy is yours,

What energy is not yours because as you start to go within and you start to become more aware,

You also become more aware of who you are but you become aware of all of those other things as well.

You become aware of those energies that aren't yours,

You become aware of the pain,

You become aware of the invalidation,

There's all sorts of things that you can become aware of and a lot of them are really pleasant and help you feel more connected to yourself and who you are and some of them are less pleasant because they're not yours.

So managing energy really helps us to be able to do something with that.

We can make a shift,

We can make a change and that way it's not so painful to continue to awaken.

And so the other side of that is also being able to have boundaries,

Being able to have boundaries with people,

Being able to have boundaries between you and other things that you could be feeling or thinking,

So that's something that we'll get into as well.

Another part of intuition that's important is being able to find your own answers.

I have a lot of people that have come to me over the years to get readings and they want me to give them their answer,

They want me to tell them what's going on in their life,

What energy is around them,

What's going on in a certain relationship,

What's going on with a certain career step,

What should they do next,

What's their life purpose,

All these different things and that's great.

Sometimes that's really helpful and can be really nice to just be seen in that light,

To be seen spiritually and have some help and insight into things.

But a lot of those reading clients after a while,

They want to be able to get their own answers just like a lot of you might be wanting to get your own answers,

Being able to see and know for yourself,

Not having to call on somebody else to do that for you.

So that's another thing that we're going to get into,

Is how to find your own answers,

To have that for yourself.

The third aspect of this class is finding more of who you are,

So seeing if you're just your thoughts,

If you're just your emotions,

If you're just this sort of mechanical knee-jerk reaction cause and effect of something happens and you react a certain way or is there something that's more than that?

Are you sitting behind that?

Are you more than those thoughts,

More than those emotions?

Who really are you and why does it matter?

That's the third component.

So just to recap,

We're going to focus on managing energy,

Finding your answers and finding more of who you are.

Just that.

All right,

So just a couple more examples of trusting your intuition and how it can be fun to practice and what can happen when you start to trust your intuition more and more is right at the start of 2020,

I had planned on going on a vacation later in the year and I was all excited about it.

I had a really good plan set up,

Different things that I was going to do,

People I was going to see and all of a sudden around late January,

I want to say,

I had the intuitive hit out of nowhere that I needed to leave and go on vacation right then and there.

I thought that's so weird,

This is a really important time for work,

I have a lot of things going on at home that I can't leave,

It doesn't make any sense to leave right now.

Intellectually I was at odds with the information that I got,

But it was so clear from my intuition and after years of practicing listening to my intuition,

I was able to tell what's just a random thought,

What's just a random feeling that's coming through,

What's just a body level urge versus what's my intuition actually giving me a message and it's said to go.

So I decided to change my plans and jump on a plane and go to Honduras right then and there and I went and had a really nice time.

While I was there,

I got invited to a party and not really a party,

More of a gathering of people,

A get together that they were having and it was people that I didn't know.

The person that I went to the island to visit had got dengue fever and was totally out of it with the bug.

So I got invited to go be with a bunch of people I didn't know,

But again my intuition said,

Yeah,

Go and do it against what I would have thought of.

I would have rather just stayed back home or sat at the beach,

But it said to go,

So I went and I ended up getting to sit out on the back patio and do readings for everyone who was there at the event all night long,

Which was really great fun and it actually made lifelong connections,

Really great people that still call me from time to time to get readings.

So that's one example of following intuition.

Another one that may be more relevant to some people is I had a job and it was what most people would consider a pretty good job,

But I hated it.

I just didn't like it at all and I was trying and trying to figure out a way to make it better,

To do better at it,

Or to just find something better altogether and I kept trying and pushing,

Using my intellect and everything that I had learned over the years to try to figure it out and then I realized,

Oh,

What am I doing?

It's all just energy and so I used some energy tools that we teach to ask for something better,

To come in and all of a sudden I got the intuitive hit that I should quit and I was like,

Oh,

That's kind of concerning to have a big mortgage and a child and all of these things that I got to take care of and my intuition is telling me to just up and quit my job with nothing really planned.

I had kind of an idea of something that I could do,

But I had never done it before.

It wasn't something that I was very sure about at all,

But I followed my intuition and I just up and quit right then and there within a couple of days and within a week I got offered a way better job.

I got a really great offering that was doing more of what I wanted to be doing.

It was way easier,

Paid way better,

Had a way better schedule.

All of the things that I was in conflict with from the last job were gone and I just got to do something way better because I trusted that intuition.

There's a lot of fear that would come up in making that leap,

But again with enough practice having followed my intuition time and time again over years,

I grew to really trust the messages that were coming in and really to understand which ones were from intuition and which ones were not.

That's something that's a little bit hard to just tell you how to do.

It's a little bit more of an experience.

We're going to go into a meditation and have an experience of that.

It's a practice.

It's building a muscle to be able to hear that voice to get a clear answer,

But it can be a lot more simple,

A lot easier to tap into than you might think.

It doesn't take years and years of practice to be able to get answers.

You get answers really from the first time that you try it.

Your intuitive abilities are natural to you.

You can always see the answer.

You can always find your answers.

They're right there inside of you.

It's just learning to trust that and to have certainty with it.

That is the part that takes a little bit of practice to have the discernment.

Sometimes when we start to go into this practice of tapping into our intuition,

There's different things that can come up.

There can be pain that can come up.

There can be confusion that comes up.

Uncertainty can come up.

All sorts of different things can come up as we get into that.

Sometimes it can be just because you're frustrated with the practice of trying to do it,

But mostly it's the energy that's around it,

That's surrounding that ability that's coming up to be released so that you can own that inherent skill that you have,

That birthright gift that you have.

Sometimes that can be something like when you were a kid,

You had a parent who was feeling really upset.

You go up to them and say,

Mommy,

Why are you so upset?

She throws some anger back at you and says,

No,

I'm totally fine because she doesn't want you to think that she's upset.

She doesn't want you to be concerned or she's embarrassed about what she's upset about.

Whatever it is,

It gets into your field.

She throws that different emotion at you and tells you that you were wrong.

So there becomes doubt.

Oh,

Maybe I don't really know what's going on.

Maybe I can't really see that or feel into that.

Or maybe it's something like you have an imaginary friend that you're playing with and talking to,

And an adult says,

Oh,

That's just imaginary.

That's not real.

So then there's that belief that gets embedded in you.

Oh,

This isn't real.

The experience that I'm having isn't real.

So when we start to go into this practice,

Some of those things might come up.

That's OK.

All right.

That was a lot that I threw at you.

I went kind of quick,

But now we're going to start to slow down.

We're going to go into meditation.

So if you would give yourself a deep breath in,

Give yourself an easy sigh out,

Exhale out.

You can go ahead and close your eyes and just start to find yourself where you are in your body.

As you relax in your body,

I want you to just think of or feel into stress that you've been carrying today.

Something that you've been sort of squeezing,

Pressing up against.

I want you to just imagine that all of that tension,

All of that stressor,

Whether it's a conversation,

Whether it's a physical sensation,

Whether it's an anxiety about something,

I want you to imagine that it just collects onto your body like dust onto an old dresser.

You can just see it become dust.

Maybe it's even a certain color dust.

Maybe it's a green dust or brown dust.

And be creative with it.

Once you have all of that sensation created in your mind as dust,

I want you to just imagine that you can give yourself a nice exhale out and you can release that energy.

You can blow that dust right off your body.

You can let it go.

And then you can just breathe in some relaxed energy.

Maybe it's the smell of lavender or a different fragrance that helps you relax.

And then bring your attention to a place in your head.

It can be behind your eyes and in between your ears,

Right there in the center of your head.

And that's where you can start to awaken your inner eye,

That intuitive part of yourself.

Maybe you just want to take a breath or two into that place.

Maybe it feels totally new to you to be in the center of your head.

Or maybe it feels really familiar.

And as you get comfortable there,

I want you to imagine that there's a giant tree trunk that's growing right from your hips to the very center of the planet.

That tree trunk can just grab onto your waist and just drop straight down to the core of your ear.

Maybe that tree trunk gets wider and wider as it gets closer and closer to the center of the planet.

And as that tree trunk grows,

Just feel yourself starting to get more and more grounded.

More and more centered.

And that tree trunk is going to connect you to the earth,

But it's also a hollow trunk.

One where you can release energy down.

It's one where you can drop things down that tree trunk and let it fall to the center of the earth to be recycled.

So I want you to just imagine that any psychic weight,

Any stress,

Tension,

Anything you're holding onto,

Maybe it's just some energy that's coming up from doing this type of meditation.

Let it all release down that trunk to the center of the planet.

Almost like a vacuum seal that's just sucking that energy down.

Anything that's not you could be an energy similar to one of the examples I gave earlier.

Could be somebody else's thoughts,

Somebody else's emotions.

Could be somebody else's pain that you've been carrying for a really long time and you finally have permission to release it.

You finally have a space where you can let it go.

Just go ahead and release anything you're holding onto.

And then bring your focus back to the center of your head.

And I want you to just imagine that there's a blank canvas out in front of you or a blank whiteboard out a couple feet from your face.

And I want you to imagine that out on that whiteboard there's an image of a cake.

This cake isn't going to give you psychic powers.

It's just a practice of being able to create an image,

Being able to see a symbol.

Images and symbols have different meanings to us.

They're ways for us to look at different things.

And so your ability to create an image and to see that on that whiteboard out there,

That blank canvas,

Is going to help those psychic muscles.

It's going to help that ability to see images that can give you a message.

But just have fun with it.

It's not something where there has to be a lot of pressure to do it right.

It's not something where if you try really hard you'll be better at it.

With most things in spirituality the harder you try the least it is to work.

It's just going to be more difficult.

When you can step into ease and fun then it's going to be a lot better.

You're going to have an easier time doing it.

And so just notice how you have that image of that cake.

Can you see all the sides of that cake?

Is it a triple layer?

Is it a double layer?

Can you see it so clearly you can almost reach out and touch it?

Or is it kind of just a 2D picture of a cake as a kid would draw it on a piece of paper?

Again no judgments or expectations,

Just observation.

How does that image show up?

Then go ahead and create an image of a bomb underneath it and explode that cake.

Let it blow up in a flash of light and leave that blank canvas.

And then I want you to create the image of a kitten.

Don't worry there will be no kittens harmed in the making of this image.

It's just a picture.

And then I want you to take it a little bit further and see if you can make it almost like a Harry Potter image where it's moving.

Can that cat be moving around on that whiteboard?

Can you take it even a little bit further?

And can you have that kitten be playing with a ball of yarn?

Maybe you notice what color that yarn is or how thick it is.

Maybe the yarn and the kitten are moving in high definition,

3D.

Maybe you have some surround sound,

The lamp knocking over in the background as the kitten plays.

This skill of imagery doesn't have to be limited to two dimension.

It can be a 3D image.

Then you can take that whiteboard and kind of shake it like a natural sketch until the image of the cat and the yarn is gone or you can take a bomb,

Put it underneath it,

Blow it up.

A few different things you can try but clear that image off your screen please.

And then I want to play with another image here,

Another symbol that's actually going to be able to show you energy.

It's going to help you to interpret energy.

So I want you to take a look at an image of a rose out on that whiteboard.

It could be a purple rose,

It could be a red rose,

It could be any kind of rose that you want.

But I want you to with your intention have this rose show you how you're doing.

How are you doing right now in present time?

Is that rose standing up straight?

Is that rose sort of bending over,

Crushing under the weight of the world?

Does it have lots of sharp thorns protecting it?

Does it have lots of leaves?

Is that rose sort of bright and shiny and showing itself to you or is it hiding,

Trying to run away?

Maybe that rose is posturing itself kind of in the same tone or mood as you and what you have going on in your life.

Or maybe you see some of the petals wilting or maybe they're very bright and luscious and you can see a dew drop on them,

Full of life.

Just notice the mechanics of what that rose looks like when you put your intention on it to show you your current state.

And after you see the physical makeup of it,

The structure of that rose,

You can just play around with what does that tell you?

What does that make you feel?

Do you notice the correlation between that image and your state?

Did you learn something new about yourself and what's going on with you?

And then I want you to create another bomb underneath that rose and blow it up.

I know you're having fun looking at it,

But let's play with one more image here.

Blow that rose up and create one more rose,

Different color rose,

Out on your screen.

But this time ask that it shows you the energy of something that's been negatively affecting you.

Just notice what you notice.

And maybe the thing that you notice isn't the rose.

Maybe the thing that you notice is that frustration's coming up.

Maybe the thing you notice is that effort's coming up.

Maybe you're getting mad about it.

Maybe there's thoughts that would say it's stupid,

That it's not going to show you anything.

Maybe there's confusion that's coming up.

That's perfect.

That's what we want to bring up.

That could be the negative energy that's affecting you.

And instead of seeing it in that rose,

You're starting to feel that,

Starting to think about it.

Maybe it's coming through in that way instead of in the image.

And you can just release that down that giant tree trunk that you still have attached to your hips,

That hollowed out tree trunk.

You can drop that energy through,

That energy that's affecting you.

Or another way that you can release that,

And you can try this right now,

Is have that rose that's representing the energy of something that's affecting you,

Have it act as a big magnet and call out all of that energy from your body into that rose.

Almost as if you put a big horseshoe magnet behind that rose and it's tuned,

Not to pull metal out of you,

But to pull that energy that's been negatively affecting you.

That pain,

That confusion,

That doubt.

That energy of not knowing what to do next.

Whatever it is for you.

Let that release into that rose.

Maybe you feel it leaving your body.

Maybe you feel yourself starting to breathe a little bit deeper,

Your shoulders starting to relax.

And then go ahead and put a big bomb underneath that rose and blow it up.

Explode it.

Give yourself another deep breath.

We're almost done here.

I want to work with one more image.

You talked about how in the world sometimes people can send themselves negative images.

Images of I'm bad or this sucks.

I don't want to do that.

Whatever it is,

We can work with positive images to give to ourselves to help change our state,

Change how we're feeling,

And to collect up our energy,

To have more of who we are.

And so that's what this next tool is going to be,

This next image.

So go ahead and be in the center of your head,

That place behind your eyes and in between your ears.

And imagine that there's a big giant golden orb that forms two feet above your head.

Almost like a big golden sun.

And imagine that that golden sun works similarly as a magnet,

But instead of pulling something out of you,

It's going to call back all of your energy.

Any energy that maybe you had scattered into your day,

Maybe you left part of yourself in a conversation,

Left part of yourself in your to-do list,

In the past,

In your hopes for the future.

Let this big golden sun have such a gravity that it calls back your energy.

And that golden light is going to purify it,

Bringing it to the highest and brightest vibration that you can give to yourself right now.

And that high bright vibration is one that's going to be nourishing to your body,

Nourishing to your energy centers.

It's going to let you have more of who you are.

You might not have an intellectual sense of that,

But you'll get to have more of it within you.

So when that golden sun is big and bright,

Imagine yourself reaching up and popping a hole in the bottom of it and that gold pouring in through your head,

Down through your face,

Into your neck,

Into your shoulders,

Torso,

Legs,

Out into your arms,

Hands,

Feet,

And just fill up your entire body with that golden energy.

And when you see yourself totally full of that bright golden light,

You can give yourself another deep breath in.

You can give your body a little wiggle,

A little stretch,

And you can come on out of meditation.

You can slowly open up back to the world.

All right.

Thanks for being here.

Thanks for being in this course.

See you later.
