New Year's Eve Meditation
This New Year’s Eve meditation guides you into a deep state of presence before setting intentions for the year ahead. Rather than focusing on effort or goal chasing, you are led to release the energetic weight of the past year and reconnect with a grounded, centered awareness. From this calm and spacious state, you explore aligned intentions by embodying the version of yourself who already lives them. This practice supports clarity, nervous system regulation, and creating from inner alignment rather than pressure or striving.

Welcome to my New Year's Eve alignment meditation.
Thanks for being here,
Everybody.
And this meditation is going to be a little bit different than the ones you're maybe used to.
A lot of New Year's Eve practices,
They begin with a certain amount of effort,
Really hashing out what you want,
Visualizing outcomes,
Setting intentions,
You know,
Getting yourself hyped up for all that you want to create,
Experience,
Be,
Expand into in the new year.
And that's all good and fine.
But there's plenty of that that's already out there.
So I'm going to give you a taste of something that's a little bit different.
And the reason as to why I'm delivering it in this way is because real creation,
It doesn't begin with effort.
It begins with state.
What state of being are you in,
In creating from?
You can put forth a lot of effort.
But if you're in the wrong state of being,
If you aren't aligned internally,
It's not going to get you very far.
It's going to get you a very similar result to what you're used to.
So we're going to start with being for this meditation for this exercise.
We're going to return to a fundamental state of awareness.
And then we're going to manifest from there.
And so go ahead and start to close your eyes,
Start to turn inward.
And just give yourself a nice,
Deep breath.
And a nice,
Deep sigh out.
And start to bring your attention inward.
And just allow your body to settle.
We don't need to create from franticness,
From hurry.
You can relax.
There's nothing to achieve here.
Nothing to fix.
Nowhere to go.
Just be here.
And bring your awareness to the center of your head.
That space behind your eyes.
In between your ears.
And just breathe into that space.
You're not being in your head in an analytical way.
You're just being in the center of your being.
And as that awareness builds in the center of your head,
The mind can start to drop.
And you can start to place your awareness on 2025.
The year that's ending.
The year that you're moving out of.
And just get a sense of the overall energy of 2025.
Not so much the story.
Nor the judgments.
Just the pure energy of it.
Everything you've been carrying.
Everything you've been trying to live up to.
The various roles that you had to play to navigate the year.
Every effort to hold things together.
And as you place your awareness on that year that we've all lived together,
I want you to imagine a tube of energy extending from your hips all the way down to the center of the head.
A grounding cord.
And let this grounding cord connect you to the earth and all of its biorhythms.
But also allow this to be a tube.
A release point.
A way in which you can start to release energy.
And I just want you to breathe into all that energy of 2025.
All the effort.
All the roles.
All the strength you had to muster up to move through the year.
And as you breathe,
With each exhale,
I want you to just allow the weight of this year to release down that grounding cord.
You don't have to dig through the trash.
And you can hold gratitude for the many beautiful moments.
But just let yourself release all that's ready to be released.
All that you're ready to let go of.
The wins or the losses of this year.
Any of the stories you've been holding on to.
Maybe even other people's voices that have been echoing through your head.
Or your own voice of doubt.
Worry.
Let it all just release.
Not through effort.
Not through force.
But just through letting it all go.
All the triumphs and tribulations.
Let it go.
So you don't have to create a future that's really just remembering your past.
It doesn't have to inform who you are and what you create going forward.
You can reset.
You can release.
And to assist in this release,
I want you to imagine your body as a body of glass.
A body of non-resistance.
You can see yourself as almost a transparent body.
Where all the energies of the year are like water to oil.
They just naturally separate and slide down.
Releasing out of your body down through the grounding cord into the center of the earth where it can be recycled.
And you don't have to process or know or see exactly what you're releasing.
You can if it's natural to you.
But you might more so notice where your body is holding tension.
Where your breathing is more shallow.
Where you're twisted,
Contorted.
It might be a sensation.
That's storing the energy of the year.
And so let it move through that body of glass with no resistance.
No tension.
No holding on.
And let it all fall away.
Let yourself gradually become more and more that which you are.
You don't have to analyze.
You don't have to review.
You could just let it go.
Anything that no longer belongs to you.
Anything that no longer fits who you're becoming.
Who you're ready to be in this new year.
Maybe anything that wasn't really yours to hold on to.
Put energy into in the first place.
You can let it be depersonalized.
Nothing that occurred this year makes you or breaks you.
It's not real.
In the ultimate sense.
You can say all of that experience is neutral.
It's not good or bad.
You can let that pressure dissipate.
You can let that charge release.
And now to make it even a little bit more clear,
A little more potent.
I want you to imagine the version of you that predominantly moved through this year.
You could say the identity that you wore.
The personality that showed up most often.
The one that is the manifesto of all that inner dialogue.
And I want you to just see it.
Maybe it helps to see it as sort of an animated version of yourself,
A cartoon version.
If somebody was going to be an actor in a movie that was playing you just for 2025,
Who would be cast in that role?
How would they act?
What would that look like?
Really get a sense.
Not in your best moments,
But in the moments where you're most activated,
Most triggered.
The moments we were trying to survive,
Trying to find a sense of orientation of this is who I am.
This is what the world's throwing at me.
This is who I need to be to navigate it all.
That character.
The version of you that maybe missed a couple hours of sleep is running on fumes.
The pressure's building.
See that character.
And now imagine that you can simply step out of it as if it's a costume,
As if there's a big zipper that runs along your spine that you can unzip.
And you can step right out of it without the drama,
Without rejection.
Just this,
Okay.
Thank you for letting me play this character that I felt I needed to play,
But I'm ready to pack it up,
Put it in a box,
Put it in the storage room.
You can always bring it back out and try it back on if you want to get the same results you got in 2025.
It'll always be there waiting for you.
You don't have to threaten it or say you're killing it off or getting rid of it forever.
Hey,
Hang it in the closet if it makes you feel better.
And keep it there.
But notice,
And this is you moving energy.
It's you shifting out of the version of you that had the problems,
The struggles,
All that sort of fun in 2025,
And you're energetically putting it aside.
And notice simply what remains as you do.
If you're able to hang that up,
If you're able to imagine that all is well and cared for,
That you don't have to be the hero of your own story,
You don't have to defend,
Protect,
Struggle,
And strive.
If you set that main character in the storage room,
What's left?
Who is still here underneath that?
It might not be your absolute,
Most stripped away,
Pure,
Unadulterated self,
But it might be the version of you that was there in the moments where you did feel safe,
You did feel fulfilled,
You did feel a sense of purpose,
Peace,
Playfulness.
What's left might be that version of you that did work,
That was able to bring forth many great experiences.
Whether that's what you experienced most of the year,
Whether that was fleeting,
Just here and there,
Doesn't matter,
Notice it.
Notice what's there outside of that main character that you set aside.
And be in the center of your head if you've drifted away.
Be in that place of pure awareness,
But now start to let go of the localization of it.
Intend to experience that awareness that started in the center of your head.
But how do you know it's in the center of your head?
Localization is just based off of sensation,
Which you interpret to be your body,
Your head.
Let that all fade away.
And intend to directly experience that point of awareness without any sense of localization.
Be aware of that point of awareness,
That non-localized sense of beingness,
That pure existence,
That awareness noticing itself.
And if thought arises,
That's okay.
You don't have to resist or push it away.
You're the awareness of the thought.
You are the sky,
So you are not bothered by the cloud.
Same for sensations.
If you feel a pressure or sensation,
An emotional fluctuation,
And it starts to pull you back towards more localized awareness,
Just notice that.
The longer you stay in this non-localized awareness,
The more and more the body-mind will discharge and eventually subside.
You don't need to manage any of that.
Just be the awareness in which everything appears.
And deeper still,
Intend to directly experience yourself as I am.
Not the words,
Not a meaning,
Just that pure experiential sense of I am.
Place before identity,
Before direction,
Before intention.
Stay with that steady presence.
This I am never leaves,
It isn't temporary.
At most,
You can become distracted away from it.
Be in the spaciousness,
In the silence.
Of the I am.
And this is how you start to tap into who you are when nothing is missing,
When nothing is incomplete,
When all has been accomplished,
Experienced,
Fulfilled.
And this is the most potent place to reside.
Before you want to create.
Because creation orients to you,
Not who you want to be,
Not who you think you are,
But to who you actually experience yourself to be.
And so let's take this one step further without leaving this grounded presence.
Allow your attention to focus on your year ahead.
Not from a place of wanting,
Not from a place of lack.
Because that only acknowledges and adds more energy to the lack,
To the wanting.
It keeps the dangling carrot out in front of you.
But instead focus on your new year from this place of alignment.
And ask yourself,
What's in your highest alignment to create,
To live,
To express,
To have in this new year?
It can be a combination of what you experience as yourself to desire for this new year.
And it can also be what would source want for me?
What would my higher self want for me?
When we're operating from a false self with false motives,
We don't really know what's actually best for us.
What we think we want and what we actually want can be pretty different.
And so focus on what you want to create next year,
But not purely from an active stance of putting it out there from your mind,
But more of a receptive place of what is right for me in this coming year.
And maybe you have a career shift in mind,
A relationship you've been desiring.
You want to increase your abundance,
Abundance of money,
Health,
Joy,
Your spiritual abilities,
Your sense of freedom or ease.
Just let whatever big themes arise,
Arise.
Focus in on anywhere from one to five main intentions,
Main goals,
Mock-ups,
Manifestations that you're ready for this year.
And then ask to see,
Feel,
And experience the version of you that would be there if you already had those things,
If you assumed that they were already manifest,
Not later,
Not someday,
But right now.
If you were to imagine yourself in the new year with those one to five main intentions fulfilled,
Feel,
See,
Experience the you that is there.
Images are the language of spirit and emotions,
Sensations are the language of the body.
When you combine the two,
You create a coherent field within your heart that allows reality to realign to that which you are.
So tap into that.
What does that look like?
What does that feel like?
What does that sound like?
And again,
This isn't a purely creative thing in the sense of you inserting the version of yourself that you believe to be there.
You couldn't know.
It's receiving the information of the version of you that's there.
If I want to manifest having no back pain,
But I have chronic back pain,
I don't know what version of me would be there.
So you got to receive that information.
It might be a version of me that feels strong,
That feels like he can hold up the weight of his life,
Or that's very supported,
There might be positive self-thoughts instead of negative self-talk.
There's all sorts of subtleties to this experience of the you that has already manifest that which you seek.
And generally there will also be an energy of gratitude,
Excitement,
Enjoyment,
Fulfilled.
There's some sort of sense of having arrived,
Having received,
Having accomplished.
Feel that and see what that looks like.
And you can expand that to even go,
Okay,
And what does that version of me do from there?
How does that version of me move through the world?
How do I breathe?
How do I relate?
What feels different in the body?
Really immerse yourself in that experience of the you that has it all.
This isn't pretending,
It's recognizing that.
The qualities that are already available to you.
You already are that which you seek to receive from any of these intentions.
You already are that peace,
That confidence,
That love,
That trust,
Vitality,
That sense of safety,
That sense of acceptance.
It all lives within you.
And again,
You don't create the reality that you want,
You create the reality that's in alignment with who you are.
And part of that is,
What is your nervous system regulated to hold?
If it feels dangerous to your internal system,
It's going to continue to protect and defend in a way that keeps you from this reality you're creating.
And so as you let yourself really be that version of yourself that has it all,
You're recognizing that you are it,
And you're toning your nervous system to the vibrations,
To the reality that you want to hold.
You're showing it that it is safe to arrive,
That it can be there,
That there's no harm in being that version of yourself.
You can practice being the one that has it all,
And that starts internally,
That starts here.
And so really create an anchor,
Really create a clear sense of what is this identity,
What is this energy,
What is the primary sensation that's here in this version of yourself that has it all.
Create this anchor,
Because you might not perfectly reside here at all times as you move forward.
It may be a little bit of a rehabilitation for you as you move into the new year of giving up that old costume you put in the storage space and stepping into this.
You formed a habit,
You formed an addiction to that old sense of self,
And we're here to break the habit of being you,
The false you.
And so create an anchor,
Create a signature for this you that has it all,
One that you can remember and tap into anytime you start to hit a roadblock,
Anytime your reality isn't matching up with this.
If you want to name it,
If there's a phrase that goes along with it,
A color,
An image,
A symbol,
Those can be the language of the spirit,
But also have the sensation or feeling.
For again,
It's the two in combination that creates coherence,
That creates the possibility,
Not even the possibility,
But the guarantee that your reality will realign to match that which you are.
It has to.
It's the law of assumption at work.
Yeah,
Good.
And then living from this state,
There's nothing you need to force.
Your only invitation moving forward is this,
When you hit effort,
Worry,
When overthinking arise,
Just pause and return to this simple presence,
The place where you reset and restore yourself is going back into that I am,
The place behind all identity.
But for those of you that aren't just going to dissolve into the ethers,
The total oneness,
For those of you that have your goals for the year,
You move from that I am into this version of yourself that you've identified,
Anchored,
That you've identified as a true version of yourself with the illusion stripped away and just anchor back into it,
Be in it until you feel that coherence,
You feel that resonance and then and only then take action.
Action taken from alignment is going to get you so much further than action taken from a false self that can only get you more of the same.
And so as you start to spend more and more of your day in no mind,
In this I am,
More and more of your time in this coherent state of the you that has it all,
The less time you have to spend trying to solve your problems,
Work hard for it.
You get out of the hustle and bustle and you get into synchronicity,
You get into the law of assumption,
You get into the laws of manifestation because life is coming from you,
It's not happening to you.
This orients you to letting divine will do the heavy lifting.
And so give yourself a deep breath in and gently start to bring your awareness back to localization,
Back to your body.
Feel your body,
Your breath,
The floor beneath you,
And carry this simple technique that you can use,
That you can apply at any time throughout your new year.
And you can start to come back to the room,
You can start to come out of meditation.
And then you can wiggle and stretch,
You can give yourself a couple moments to,
Ah,
Just notice if anything shifted,
If anything changed,
If you were able to lighten your load a little bit,
Come into greater alignment,
Orientation.
And the last part of this new year's exercise,
Meditation,
Is if you have a pen or your phone or anything you can write with,
I want you to just write down that version of yourself that you found,
The one who has all of your main goals already assumed,
Already realized,
Because you might forget.
So I want you to just write down the main sensation,
The main energy,
Color,
Attitude,
If there's any sense of the habits or actions that go with that.
Just take a second to write any of it down while it's still there.
And if you wanna write down the steps of doing this process,
It's essentially be in the center of your head,
The center of your being,
Get grounded to the center of the earth.
Identify the version of you that's there when you're having a particular problem,
Issue,
Constraint,
Glass ceiling,
And become aware of it in its totality as much as you can,
Right?
So the kind of thoughts you think,
The emotions you're experiencing,
The sensations that are there,
How you're acting or navigating the world,
The more that you become aware of it,
The more that you've created space between you in that version of you that's in the struggle,
Strife,
Or limitation,
Right?
And then visually in some way step out of it.
You know,
We use the idea of a costume and putting it in a box.
You could do it in other ways too.
And then after you've sort of set that aside,
Go into the I am,
Go into the no mind,
Go into that just pure sense of beingness to reorient,
To reset,
Because we don't wanna get into self-help and just trying to create a better ego.
I don't care about that,
Right?
That doesn't interest me.
So you wanna come back to that,
Which you really are to whatever extent you can.
And then you wanna see,
Okay,
What is the solution that I would want?
Whether that's just a simple thing in your day or whether it's a bigger,
More grandiose goal,
And envision yourself with it already being complete.
And again,
Tap into all the subtleties of that character.
How do they feel?
How do they think?
What's the sensation?
How would they move through the world?
How would they take aligned action having assumed that it's already done?
Right?
You see this with really high level performance coaches.
You know,
If they're like coaching a pro athlete and the athlete's having a hard time,
They'll go,
Okay,
Imagine that you're succeeding at this particular level.
You know that at the end of the year,
This is gonna be your stats.
And they go,
Oh yeah,
I feel confident.
I feel great.
I feel this and that.
They really embody it.
And then they go out and the next game,
They totally crush it.
They're already practicing that.
They're creating that coherence.
They're living it beforehand.
There's actually been studies that showed that athletes who went out and physically practiced their sport 100 times versus athletes that stayed in and imagined practicing the sport with success 100 times actually gained the same level of benefit.
And they've actually started applying this into the NFL where the new college recruits actually wear a VR headset and they run simulations that have them succeeding.
And they'll even run it at 1.
5 speeds so it's faster than the actual gameplay.
And so they're already prepared for any of that.
They've already visualized and experienced within themselves success.
And they did that with a rookie quarterback last year and he ended up making it to the conference championship which is virtually unheard of for a rookie to even have a winning season much less make it to the conference championship.
And so this isn't just make believe.
It's like I said,
It's really practicing that state of coherence,
That new vibration,
That law of assumption.
And the more that you're aware of all the ways in which you would think,
Act,
Feel,
Position yourself in life and you move from that state,
Everything acts through synchronicity.
It realigns,
It'll bring you that which you've already assumed,
Which you've already practiced,
Imagined,
Become internally,
Right?
And the fun part about it is you get yourself out of the way because you're not worrying about whether or not you're gonna get it and what it's gonna mean about you or your life.
You're not using this desire as a way to buy yourself out of a false identity or reward yourself out of it.
You're not using it as a replacement for the supreme being's love or anything like that.
You're acknowledging that you already have whatever it is within you and living from it.
And then as a by-product,
You get to express more of it.
And that feels way better than needing it in order to be fulfilled,
In order to have something,
Right?
And you could say,
Well,
It's like,
I really need that relationship to feel love.
Do you,
Or do you feel love when you let that symbol of that person in that relationship take away you suppressing that love that's already there,
Right?
That's why,
This is a silly example,
But that's why people that are in an online relationship,
It could be a 300 pound hairy man,
But they think it's a girl and they're like,
Oh my gosh,
I'm in so much love,
Right?
They're feeling it,
The feeling's real,
But the reality's not,
Right?
What really created the love?
Clearly not the person in that case.
You might say,
Well,
I really need the money or the debt to be gone to have a sense of safety and security,
Really?
Are you more safe and secure when your paycheck is bigger or has the symbol of that money in your bank,
Which is largely just an imaginary number that's floating around in the digital space.
I tried to pull out all of my money out of my bank and the bank was like,
Oh,
We don't have that here.
Really?
The third largest bank in the world doesn't have that amount of money of one person actually physically there.
Interesting,
Just a number on a screen,
Right?
But it's that symbol that you're saying,
Okay,
That gives me this sense of safety.
Does it?
Or did you allow it to?
And so when you live from that,
You're not making yourself dependent on these outcomes in order to have the love,
The safety,
Security,
Confidence,
Or any of that.
You already get the underlying benefit of any of the things.
And again,
It's just an expression and outpouring of that which you already are.
It's a celebration instead of a necessity.
You move out of this separate self,
Physical,
Mortal version of you that needs these things to survive,
Right?
And that's what turns on biological conflict shocks and gives you a bunch of symptoms when you're living from that animal self.
And you move into the spirit self that already has all of that.
That's eternal and mortal.
And you're just expressing.
That becomes more of this creative heaven on earth experience instead of this animalistic survival experience that never really ends.
One desire just leads to the next,
Right?
It's kind of like how after a really good meal,
I always really want that piece of dark chocolate.
One thing just leads to the next.
Then after the dark chocolate,
I need the glass of water.
It just keeps going when the external thing is what's giving you that,
Right?
When it's within you,
It's just forever expanding.
Yeah.
And so venture forth and live the life you were born to live.
Have an amazing new year.
I hope to see you lots throughout it.
But that is my class.
