Hi friends and welcome to this yoga nidra practice for healing.

Today we will focus on relaxing the physical body to keep the mind awake in order to facilitate healing of your fibers,

Cells,

And tissues.

For the entire practice you will be in a relaxed meditative or shavasana position.

So start by laying down on your back and getting as comfortable as possible.

You can do this practice in bed,

On your couch,

Or maybe laying on the ground with a yoga mat.

Take a moment to bring in any pillows,

Blankets,

Props to support any areas of your body that may not meet the ground.

Really prioritize your comfort here.

You'll be in this position for quite some time,

So take a moment to get all the wiggles and fidgets out,

Making sure that nothing in your body is bothering you.

Once you are settled in,

Start by noticing your breath.

Become aware of your smooth inhales and easy exhales.

Once you have physically,

Mentally,

And spiritually arrived in your resting position,

Begin to just take a few deep breaths in through the nose fully and out through the mouth fully.

Releasing any tension you may be gripping onto on your exhale.

Then begin to notice the left side of your body.

As if there was a line drawn down the center of your body,

Drawing down your forehead,

Your nose,

Tracing all the way down to the midline of your body.

Bring your awareness to every part on the left side of your body.

Your left side forehead,

Left nostril,

How air is moving through it,

Left side of your mouth,

Your left shoulder,

Arms,

And fingertips.

Becoming aware of the left side chest,

Hip,

And leg.

Observe what comes up when you become conscious of this side of your body.

Now move your awareness to the right side of your body.

Feel every part on the right side as well.

Feel the right side forehead,

How air is moving through the right nostril,

Starting from the top and working your way down.

Feeling the right side of your mouth,

Right shoulder,

Arms,

And fingertips.

Right side chest,

Hip,

And leg.

Notice what comes up on this side of your body.

Now become aware of both sides of your body.

Simply observe if there are any imbalances between each side.

Now gather your awareness at your left palm and see a healing amethyst crystal resting in your left palm.

This crystal starts to shine a violet toned light.

Feel this restorative violet light coursing through the left side of your body,

Crossing into the bridge of the heart,

And making its way to the right side body,

Seeping in all of the crystals healing vibrations.

As you continue to receive in the energy of the amethyst crystal through your left palm,

Begin to feel any negative low vibration energy starting to release out of your right palm.

See a dull gray light radiating out from your right palm.

This represents all your ailments,

Bad spirits,

Anything that is blocking your path to healing.

Feel yourself give this negative energy away.

It no longer has a place in your body.

Continue to receive in the violet light of the amethyst through your left palm and give out the gray stagnant energy from your right palm.

Find a settled balance in both of your palms and bring your awareness to your left side body.

Find a settled balance in both of your palms and bring your awareness to the space between the eyebrows.

Now tell yourself three times,

Here begins the practice of yoga nidra.

I am open to receiving what I need to receive.

Repeat to yourself three times,

I am healing in my own way on my own time.

The power of restoring comes from within myself.

Start by becoming aware of the space between the eyebrows.

As I call out each body part,

Become aware of that part of your body and feel it sink into rest for recovery.

Returning to the space between the eyebrows.

Now bring your awareness to your breath.

As your body starts to melt into relaxation,

Become aware of any part that feels a bit restless.

We'll move through a body breathing technique to release any of this residual activity in the body.

When you inhale,

See the breath move up the body.

When you exhale,

See the breath move down the body.

Starting at your toes,

Inhale and see your breath move up from your toes to your ankles.

As you exhale,

The breath moves down from your ankles to your toes.

Breathe from your ankles to your knees,

Then exhale down from your knees to your ankles.

Inhale up from your knees to your hips,

Then exhale down from your hips to your knees.

Now breathe from your hips to your chest,

Then down from your chest to your hips.

Feel the inhale travel to where it feels restless,

Then feel the exhale release it like mist dissipating into thin air.

Breathe from your chest to your shoulders,

Then down from your shoulders to your chest.

Breathe from your shoulders to your elbows,

Then from your elbows to your shoulders.

Breathe from your elbows to your wrists,

Then from your wrists to your elbows.

Breathe from your wrists to your fingertips,

Then from your fingertips to your wrists.

Now send breath from your chest to the front of your throat,

Then from the front of your throat to your chest.

Breathe from the front of your throat to the tip of your nose,

Then down from the tip of your nose to the front of your throat.

Breathe from the tip of your nose to the front of your throat.

Breathe from the tip of your nose to the space between your eyebrows,

Then down from the space between your eyebrows to the tip of your nose.

Now breathe from the space between your eyebrows to the crown of your head,

Exhale down from the crown of your head to the space between the eyebrows,

Releasing any active thoughts with the exhale.

Now breathe into every edge of your body,

Gathering any low vibrations and with each exhale,

See this unneeded energy floating off your body.

And disappearing out into the universe.

Once you've completed your last round of this breath,

You can let it go and return to your natural rhythm of breath.

We are now going to move through a series of opposing feelings and sensations.

As I call out each one,

Let yourself simply experience it as it is.

Start to feel yourself become heavy.

Now feel yourself become light.

Experience yourself floating.

Experience yourself sinking.

Feel yourself become strong.

Feel yourself become weak.

Allow yourself to feel calm.

Now allow yourself to feel worried.

Experience happiness.

Now experience sadness.

Feel yourself become energized.

Feel yourself become exhausted.

Invite the sensation of fear.

Now invite the sensation of peace.

Feel yourself become depleted.

Now feel yourself become nourished.

Now feel yourself become nourished.

In your mind's eye,

Imagine yourself approaching a secluded pool of water,

Nestled by luscious green tropical trees.

Across the pool,

You see a small waterfall trickling into it,

Providing fresh water.

The sun is shining bright above the trees,

Bringing a vibrant color to the clear turquoise water in the pool.

You stand there soaking in the light,

Feeling its warmth on your skin,

Smelling the dewy grassiness of the trees.

Slowly you start to wade into the light-filled water,

Taking each step carefully,

Feeling the calm,

Cleansing water gliding over your skin.

You lean back and float effortlessly,

The water fully supporting your body,

And you simply surrender.

As you lay in the water,

You close your eyes and become immersed by the sunlight.

A glimmering golden ray of light A glimmering golden orb of light starts to glide over your body.

It travels from your head to your toes,

Pausing in areas of your body that need a bit of extra restoration.

See the orb hovering over the area you need it to heal the most.

The golden orb starts to emit light rays into that section of your body.

This healing light first penetrates your skin,

Then your muscles,

Then your tissues,

Then your organs,

Then each of your individual cells.

Your cells become at peace with this light.

Light from the orb and oxygen from your breath bind the molecules needed to heal.

Bind the molecules needed to release blockages for energetic flow,

Evolution through transformation.

This healing light continues to traverse through your veins,

Gently mending your internal world,

Leaving them with a kiss of recovery before they move on to the next.

The cosmic energy from this light sends subtle vibrations to each cell,

Raising your internal frequency and shedding off any unwanted energetic distress that was stagnant within you.

As you continue to float in the water,

The golden orb continues to send the light of healing to your body.

You fully surrender within enduring patience,

Physically,

Emotionally,

And soulfully.

You send gratitude to this light orb,

Thanking it for all it has done for you today,

And it floats away into the sky above.

Any sticky energy and grudging feelings start to lift off of you,

Like a caterpillar shedding its exoskeleton,

A shell of what once was.

It hovers right over your now replenished body.

You send gratitude to this shell,

Thanking it for all it has served you.

It starts to slowly dissipate into the sunlight above.

As it dissolves into the light,

It is composted by the universe for another purpose,

Recycling its ethereal life force.

Your physical body remains floating in the water.

You are refreshed,

Containing a blend of both old and new,

Rooted in the wisdom of your physical being,

Intertwined with a deep internal sense of peace and wholeness.

The pool of water gently guides your body back onto land.

As you take your first step,

You come to realize you are a whole new life force.

Then you tell yourself three times,

I am healing in my own way,

On my own time.

The power of restoring comes from within myself.

Gently reawaken by coming back to the physical body.

Gentle movement to the fingers and toes,

Rolling the neck side to side,

Taking a full body stretch,

Taking your time as you move through honey,

Allowing your body to come back almost in slow motion.

Thank you so much for taking the time to brave the journey inward.

I see and honor the light and gratitude in each and every one of you.

At the sound of the bell,

The practice of yoga nidra is now complete.
