Hi friends and good morning.
Thank you for choosing me to lead you through this quick meditation to start your day.
Taking just a bit of time to yourself in the morning to really ground into gratitude can make such a difference on your outlook for the day.
Start your meditation by getting in a comfortable position with your spine nice and long.
Try to avoid laying down so that you don't fall back asleep.
Option to close down the eyes to look inward or soften your gaze allowing it to fall on a point of focus in front of you.
Let's start by taking a deep inhale in through the nose filling up the body and exhale let it all go releasing any tiredness on the breath out.
Take two more deep breaths just like that.
At the bottom of that third breath begin to settle into your natural rhythm of breathing.
Then bring your awareness into your body and notice the state of your physical body.
Does it feel weary,
Energized,
Sore,
Healthy without creating a story around it?
Just begin to feel into the state of your body at this very moment.
Take some intuitive movement based on how your body is feeling.
Maybe you gently roll your neck in all directions.
Maybe you take some body stretches or seated body circles or you roll your shoulders up and down loosening any tension there.
Take a few moments of gentle intuitive movement.
Now meeting back in stillness.
Allow yourself to release anything that you are anticipating.
Anything that may be coming up later today by allowing those thoughts to pass by with ease.
Like a moving cloud over a still lake,
You are the still lake.
The thought or feeling about what's coming up later today is the moving cloud.
Embrace this exact moment as it is.
Feel into the present.
Now see the breath sitting at the base of your spine.
On your next inhale see the breath move up the spine to the crown of the head.
On your exhale see the breath descend down your spine returning back to the base of the spine.
Continue to breathe up and down the spine.
Imagining the breath clearing out any stuck energy in the column of the spine.
Begin to feel energized as you awaken the spinal energy that lives in the base of your spine.
This is also known as your kundalini energy.
On the inhale feel expansive energy surging from the base of the spine to the crown of the head.
On the exhale clear out any stagnant stickiness down your spine.
It leaves your body with the breath.
Continue with this energizing and clearing breath along the spine.
Now bring to mind one thing you are grateful for today.
It can be the fact that you are healthy,
That you can hear and comprehend these words,
That you have a bed to sleep in,
Anything that you wish to express gratitude for.
Once you have something specific in mind allow that feeling of gratitude to sit deeply in your chest.
Use the warmth of your heart chakra to connect to this sensation of gratitude.
Then begin to see this gratitude as a shimmery golden orb in your heart.
As you connect deeper to the full body sensation of gratitude see this golden orb expand from your heart shining light in all directions out your chest.
This golden light expands across time shining gratitude to your past,
Your present,
And your day ahead.
Feel the golden light shining larger and brighter expanding outside your body,
Reaching beyond the space you're in,
Eventually covering the entire globe,
Spreading the gratitude you have from your heart center out into the universe.
Everything your golden light touches is met with an immense gratitude and appreciation simply for it existing.
Sit with the power of your gratitude,
How it can heal,
The magnitude of difference it can make when you see the world with pure appreciation.
Collect the golden light back into your heart and reconnect to your breath.
Take one final deep inhale through the nose feeling the gratitude swirling in your heart and deep exhale out the mouth expanding that gratitude into your day,
Breathing it into life.
Begin to reawaken by gently moving the body.
Once you are ready to move on,
Open your eyes and close out your meditation practice.
Thank you so much for joining me.
I hope you have a beautiful day ahead.
