
Moonlit Yoga Nidra To Honor The Divine Feminine
This guided yoga nidra practice will de-stimulate the senses as you consciously relax the body and mind. By creating space between the conscious and unconscious mind, you will be able to deeply connect with your inner divine feminine. Harnessing the motherly energy of the moon to amplify the qualities of the Divine Feminine such as trust, creativity, compassion, and receptivity. Get cozy for this deep lunar and yin practice as you go inward.

Welcome to your yoga nidra practice.
This practice will guide you to a state of blissful relaxation by de-stimulating the senses and creating space between your conscious and unconscious mind to go inward.
No matter what stage you are at in your motherhood journey,
Whether you are prenatal,
Postpartum,
In the process of conceiving or simply desiring to connect with your feminine energy,
This yoga nidra is designed to heal your mind and body,
Restoring you to wholeness.
The moon represents the feminine while the sun represents the masculine.
By harnessing the motherly energy of the moon,
You will awaken the divine feminine that lives within you,
Honoring both the soft sensitivity and beautiful power of creation within you.
Start by settling into a comfortable position,
Lying down on your back,
Whether that's on your yoga mat,
Bed or couch.
If you are pregnant,
I suggest lying on your left side or in any position you know is relaxing for you.
Bring in any pillows,
Blankets or props,
Maybe using the pillow or props to support your head or bringing a pillow beneath the knees to support your low back.
Allow yourself to get cozy by covering yourself with a blanket,
Maybe even an eye pillow.
Really prioritize your comfort here.
Once you have arrived in your resting position,
Take just a few deep breaths in through the nose in through the nose fully and out through the mouth fully.
Gently release any tension you may be holding on to on your exhale.
Then begin to notice the left side of your body as if there was a line drawn down the center of your body,
Drawing down your forehead,
Your nose,
Tracing all the way down the midline of your body.
Notice every part on the left side of the body.
Notice every part on the left side of the body.
Your left side forehead,
Left nostril and how air is moving through it,
Left side of your mouth,
Your left shoulder,
Arms and fingertips,
Left side chest,
Left hip and left leg.
Observe what comes up when you become aware of this side of your body.
Now move your awareness to the right side of your body.
Feel every part on the right side as well.
How air is moving through the right nostril.
Start from the top and work your way down,
Noticing what comes up on this side of your body.
Now become aware of both sides of your body.
Simply observe if there are any changes in your body.
Any imbalances between each side.
Gather your awareness at your left palm and begin to receive the energy of pale white soft moonlight through your left palm.
This emotionally attuned,
Creative yin energy courses through your left side body,
Crossing the bridge of the heart into the right side body.
As you continue to receive the energy of the right side of your body,
Feel the energy of the moon on the left.
Feel the energy of the sun come out of your right palm.
See a bold golden light shining out from your right palm.
This mentally attuned,
Action-oriented yang energy comes out from your right side body and into the world,
Giving this energy out.
Continue to receive in moonlit energy through your left palm.
And give out sunlit energy from your right palm.
Return to your natural state of being,
Allowing both the moon and sun to release from your palms.
Now tell yourself three times,
Here begins the practice of Yoga Nidra.

Every day I nurture myself with a mother's love.
As we welcome stillness within,
We'll start with the outermost layer of our being,
The physical body.
As I call out each part of your delicate human form,
Become aware of that part of your body and feel it become quiet and still.
Start by becoming aware of your left foot,
Left toes,
Left ankle,
Left knee,
Left hip,
Pelvis,
Both hips at the same time.
Moving over to your right hip,
Right knee,
Right ankle,
Right foot,
Right toes.
Send your awareness back up to your hips.
Become aware of the lower abdomen,
Navel,
Upper abdomen,
Center of the chest,
The heart center,
Left side chest,
Left shoulder,
Left elbow,
Left wrist,
Left hand,
Left palm,
Left pinky finger,
Ring finger,
Middle finger,
Pointer finger,
And left thumb.
Become aware of all the left fingers.
Now move your awareness up through the left arm back to the heart center.
Become aware of the right side chest,
Right shoulder,
Right elbow,
Right wrist,
Right hand,
Right palm,
Right thumb,
Right pointer finger,
Middle finger,
Ring finger,
Pinky finger,
All the right fingers.
Now send your awareness up through the right arm back to the heart center.
Move the awareness up to the base of the throat,
Chin,
Mouth,
Lower lip,
Lower row of teeth,
Upper row of teeth,
Upper lip,
The whole mouth.
Become aware of the tip of the nose,
Left nostril,
Left cheekbone,
Left temple,
Left eyebrow,
Left eye resting in its socket.
Move over to the right eye resting in its socket,
Right eyebrow,
Right temple,
Right cheekbone,
Right cheekbone,
Right nostril,
Bridge of the nose,
The space between the eyes.
Move the awareness up slightly to the space between the eyebrows,
Center of the forehead,
Crown of the head.
At the crown of the head,
See a bright full moon hovering over it.
Then become aware of the breath,
Notice the body and the moon as it dances in synchrony with the breath.
Start by taking a deep inhale through the nose.
Exhale,
See the moon descending down the backside of your body,
See the moon turn between your legs just below the womb.
And inhale,
See the moon orbit up the front of your body,
Meeting back at the crown of your head.
Exhale,
The moon drifts down your spine.
Inhale,
See the moon orbit up the front of your body,
Inhale,
The moon ascends up your abdomen to the crown of your head.
Continue with this moon moving breath on your own,
Visualizing the full moon orbiting around the vertical plane of your body with each mindful inhale and exhale.
As the moon orbits across your body,
Feel her activate your feminine side within.
Each revolution amplifies your creativity and trust in your intuition while simultaneously creating space for your sensitivities to emerge.
Continue to breathe with the moon as you awaken your lunar body.
Gently release the breath as we move on to a series of opposing feelings and sensations.
Without overthinking,
Just feel each sensation fully.
As I call out each one,
Know that you are safe,
Know that you are safe to experience it.
Start by inviting the sensation of being hot like the sun.
Now feel yourself become cool like the night of a new moon.
Become imaginative.
Now become logical.
Feel what it's like to be at the height of productivity.
Now embrace the nourishing stillness of rest.
Immerse in the sensation of giving.
Now immerse in the sensation of receiving.
Feel yourself become vulnerable.
Now feel yourself become confident.
Experience all your mental thoughts.
Now experience all your emotional feelings.
Envision yourself standing under a full moon.
As she illuminates the dark night sky with her pure white light,
You gaze up and soak in all the magical moonbeams.
Bathe in the cleansing light of the moon.
Completely submerging yourself in it.
Intertwining your lunar body with her lunar body.
You then begin to take a few steps towards the moon.
Feeling completely safe and protected by the motherly essence of her lunar body high in the sky.
Each step you take along the moonlit path,
The soft white light is absorbed through the soles of your feet,
Growing brighter and brighter on each stride.
You begin to glow from within as you soak in the illuminating light with each step.
Your entire body now radiates with this moonly glow,
Creating a luminous aura.
Just as the moon reflects the light of the sun,
You now reflect the light of the moon.
As you slowly approach,
You cozy yourself into the nook of the moon and relax as if you are being cradled in your mother's arms.
As you continue to feel the protection of the crescent moon holding you,
Travel into your womb space,
Just below the navel,
Deep into the pelvic frame.
In the womb,
You see your divine feminine waiting for you.
Greet your inner goddess,
Your inner divine feminine.
Hold her.
Embrace her.
What does she feel like?
What is her state of being?
You look around and begin to intuitively send the healing energy of the moon to the walls that fortify your womb.
Feel it heal your past,
Healing any old wounds,
Forgiving you fully.
Then begin to truly embody the power the womb carries,
Its capacity to hold new life,
Create and regenerate.
Honor the power of your womb and the divine feminine that lives within it.
As you and your womb are nestled by the crescent moon,
Your divine feminine steps outside the womb and into your heart.
Continue to be held in the arms of the mother moon and simply receive her love.
Now repeat to yourself three times,
I honor the softness and the strength of my divine feminine.
Every day,
I nurture myself with a mother's love.
Gently and softly breathe into your body.
Without control or force,
Just feel as if your breath is breathing you,
As if you're moving through honey,
Begin to make small,
Slow movements with your fingers and toes.
With a tender softness,
Start to make bigger movements with your body,
Rolling ankles and wrists,
Rolling the neck side to side.
Eventually waking up the rest of the body,
Slowly and sweetly.
As you arrive back to the present,
Take a moment to share gratitude with yourself as you close your practice.
With light,
Compassion and so much gratitude,
