This is your ritual meditation for the new moon and solar eclipse in Libra.
Eclipses are impactful lunar events that set the stage for the next six months instead of just the next lunar cycle.
Since the light of our sun is blocked by our moon in a solar eclipse,
For this practice we'll pause on our manifestations for this new moon ritual and take a moment to just be.
Go off the grid like our sun and moon have.
This new moon in Libra seeks balance,
Justice,
And peacekeeping.
Libra energy welcomes the lessons of relationships and how we find balance between the self and the other,
The world within,
And the world around.
Any imbalances or injustices you've been holding on to past the expiration date,
Now is the time to let it go under the new moon once and for all.
Libra strives for harmony but how much can you lose yourself in keeping the relationships around you happy?
How can you turn the balancing act inward to live from the self rather than for others?
So with these thoughts,
Start by settling into your meditation position.
Allow the body to relax and drop into the present moment.
Notice your body as you find your comfortable position and start to scan through your body starting at the feet.
Become aware of the toes,
Soles of the feet,
And tops of the feet,
The calves,
Thighs,
And hips.
Then continue the journey bringing awareness to the abdomen,
Ribs,
And chest.
Feel the shoulders,
Upper arms,
Elbows,
And forearms.
Move to the palms of the hands and become aware of the fingers.
Become conscious of the base of the throat,
The jawline,
And feel it unclench.
The cheekbones and center of the forehead.
Now notice the crown of the head.
Become aware of every corner and crevice of your body.
Feel it fully relax and melt into the solar eclipse.
Gently arrive deeper within beneath the physical body and layers of the skin.
Shift awareness to your breath.
We'll practice a balancing box breath technique.
So you'll inhale for four,
Hold for four,
Exhale for four,
And hold at the bottom for four.
As you inhale,
Exhale,
And hold,
You'll visualize a line drawing with the breath to create a box.
We'll do a few rounds together.
Start by exhaling all the air out of your lungs to start and now inhale through the nose for one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
The line draws up.
Hold on the inhale for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
The line draws to the left.
Exhale for one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
The line draws down.
Hold on the exhale for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
The line draws to the right,
Completing the box,
Completing a round of this box breath.
We'll do that again.
Picking up on the inhale for one,

Four.
Hold at the top for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Exhale for one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold on the bottom for four,

Picking up on the inhale,
Picturing a line of the box with each inhale for four,

Finish up your last round of this box breath and let go of this breath pattern and return to your natural breathing.
Bring to mind any imbalances around your relationships with the world that you'd like to release.
It can be with a person,
Yourself,
A concept,
Or a habit.
Do you feel an injustice around this imbalance?
Let all these feelings of scorekeeping,
Holding onto grudges,
Dissipate into the moon's darkness.
Over the next six months,
What visions do you have for your relationships?
It can be with family,
Partnerships,
Friendships,
Or with yourself.
Where in your life do you carry the weight of others needs more than your own?
How can you keep your own needs met while keeping these relationships harmonious?
Connect once again with the breath.
Inhale,
Balance.

Grudges.

People-pleasing.

Self-worth.
Exhale,
The judgments of others.
Letting it go.
Take a few more rounds of breath,
Inhaling anything you need to say to yourself,
Exhaling anything you need to let go from your soul.
Release and softly return to your natural breath.
Now picture the new moon eclipsing the sun.
As the sun's light dimmers,
Feel your soul be reset like a light switch.
The lunar essence cleanses in the shadows,
Washing ego away from soul.
Your soul takes a bubble bath in this cosmic alignment.
See the moon slowly cross over the sun.
The sunlight that emerges radiates the glow of peace to your heart.
The new light opens the mind and opens the heart,
Welcoming harmony and beauty.
Be receptive to any sensations that may come up.
Take a moment to radiate gratitude to the moon for her cleansing powers,
Sending that light right back.
Send gratitude to the eclipse for this immense reset,
For this next chapter in your life.
Deepen your breath,
Connect back into your body,
Feeling the life within it.
Softly flutter the eyes open and journal on any insight you received,
