Hello and welcome to this meditation to connect to this cosmic moment.
Really taking a moment to step out of our earthly stories,
Narratives,
Realities and connect to what is greater.
What is happening in the sky above us each and every moment.
I invite you to start by finding a comfortable meditation position,
Whether that is seated on your knees cross-legged,
Whether that is reclining on your couch with some pillows under your head or even laying down completely,
Maybe on a yoga mat on the floor or in your bed.
Make sure the sign is nice and long and if you're laying down make sure it's a position you won't be able to fall asleep in.
Soon as you arrive check to see if you can take a nice long deep breath that fills up the belly 360 degrees and exhale sighing it out.
Make any adjustments to your positions.
You can take that nice big deep breath.
We'll take a few more of those all together keeping the eyes closed or in a soft gaze.
Inhale through the nose,
Open up the belly,
Open up the chest.
Exhale,
Feel your body sink closer down to the earth.
Another deep inhale draw all the air in as much as you can take.
Feel this oxygen as a blessing and exhale bringing your body back down to neutral.
Take a few more gentle slow rhythmic breaths.
Begin to check in with your body,
Scanning through first the top of the head down to the temples at the side of your eyes,
Down your cheekbones,
Your jaw,
Your neck,
Your shoulders,
Down the sides of your ribs,
Into your hip points.
Scanning the pelvis,
The legs,
The ankles all the way down to the soles of your feet.
Scan now from the bottom back up starting at the feet,
Scanning to the knees,
Hips,
Sides of the ribs,
Arms,
Shoulders,
Neck,
Up the jawline,
Across the cheekbones,
The temples,
Up back to the crown of your head.
Resting your awareness on the crown of your head.
With your awareness here,
Imagine it looking up at the sky at this very moment.
When you really think about it,
The sky is our measure of time.
The position of the sun tells us which hour of the day it is.
These numbers,
The clocks,
These hours are all things that we as humans have created to understand time,
But really the sky is our source of truth for time.
With your gaze up to the sky,
Can you feel into the present moment of all the planets,
All the stars,
The sun and the moon,
Wherever they are at in their exact position right now at this very moment,
This micro second of a moment.
The sky is ever-changing,
Ever-moving above us.
So can you take a moment to lock in with the stars in their current position,
Just feeling the presence of them,
Feeling the very subtle energies beaming from the sky,
Each and every star,
The frequency of each of the planets beaming into you,
Your body,
Your heart at this very moment.
And as you feel the stars above you,
Begin to send your breath towards them.
As the stars move ever so slightly across each micro second of a moment,
Share your breath with the stars,
Breathing in this rhythm,
Infusing their cosmic energy with your cosmic energy.
Maybe you begin to feel each of the planets in their own unique way,
Infusing their energy into your auric field,
Feeling Mercury,
Venus,
Mars,
Jupiter,
Saturn,
Neptune,
Uranus and Pluto.
Even feeling all the asteroids,
All the space matter that lies in between each planet.
Feel connected to them in the sky at this very present moment before they ever so slightly shift above us,
Moving to a new location,
Inching their way across our sky.
Once you feel complete in your connection to this very moment,
Take a deep inhale,
Breathing in the cosmic essence of this very present moment with all the stars,
Planets,
Moon,
Sun,
Sky hovering above us.
And exhale,
Grounding that energy of the sky across your whole body,
Feeling this energy enter first at the crown of the head,
Sliding down your face,
Your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your chest,
The sides of the ribs,
The hip points,
The pelvis,
Down the legs to the ankles and the toes.
Infusing their microcosmic energy through every cell in your body.
As you deepen the breath,
Commit to maintaining this connection with the sky to keep you present,
Knowing that each moment passes by us,
Is fleeting,
And only when we pause to recognize the exact positioning of the sky above us,
The exact moment of time they offer us,
We can truly connect and stay present,
Deeper within.
As you're ready to complete your practice,
Gently blink the eyes open,
Coming back into this space,
Maybe even gazing at the current sky if you can.
Take a moment to bring one hand to your heart,
The other hand on top of that one.
If you're gazing at the sky,
Just feel that connection there.
Feel this bridge between you and the greater universe above us.
You can release the hands from the heart,
Feel back into your body,
Continue on with this presence throughout the rest of your day.
