Welcome to your Aquarius full moon ritual meditation.
Full moons spiritually signify a time of release,
A shedding or letting go of the old or any shadows it is illuminating upon us.
Aquarius is a fixed air sign that often lives in the head,
Assessing,
Analyzing,
And clinically observing.
On this full moon we'll release any emotional distance we've created and close the gap by tuning into our sensitivities.
So let's start by arriving in a space supportive to our meditation.
Maybe you light candles,
Tidy up the area around you,
Light up some incense,
Or burn some Palo Santo.
Bring your crystals with you to charge in the moonlight.
Once your space is to your liking,
Come into a comfortable meditation position,
Whether that's lying down flat on your back or seated with your feet planted on the ground,
Hands gently placed in your lap,
Right hand on top of the left.
Lift the spine tall,
Open up the shoulders,
Close down the eyes,
And tilt the chin slightly forward.
Start by connecting to your breath,
Inhaling and exhaling with pure awareness,
Feeling the breath ground you,
Bring you into this space,
Into this moment.
Into yourself.
Then on your next inhale,
Pause and hold at the top,
Then exhale and pause and hold at the bottom.
Inhale through the nose,
Hold at the tip of the nose,
Hold the breath at the top,
Then exhale out the mouth,
Embracing the void at the bottom of the breath.
Continue taking a few rounds of this breath,
Briefly pausing at the top and bottom of each breath.
Notice the spaces between each inhale and exhale.
Notice the heaviness of the body as you surrender to your own being.
Aquarius can live in the mind most of the time,
So feel each breath.
Slowly taking you out of the head and into the body.
Drive this mental energy downward as you give your headspace,
Neck,
And shoulders some reprieve.
Gently release that breath pattern and come back to some nice and easy smooth breaths.
Connect to the parts of you that try to distance yourself when emotions become too high.
When has this detachment served you?
When has leaving too much space left you feeling isolated,
Unable to let anyone in?
Integrate the value of logical assessment that Aquarius uses to distance itself from its own feelings.
How can you balance this boundary of logic while still honoring your emotions?
Full moons are culminating times that support release,
Especially the shadow sides to Aquarius that are emotionally remote.
Allow your walls to fall down.
Release any emotional distance that causes you to intellectualize your feelings before actually feeling them.
Lean further into how you're feeling.
Feel the heart and mind open and allow the wisdom to come to you simply by sitting with how you feel.
What are you ready to shed from your mental space?
How do you embrace your unique eccentricity?
Do you share your quirks or keep them to yourself?
How do you feel when you're in the moment?
What have you analyzed in your immediate world that could use a fresh perspective?
Do you feel empowered to innovate or feel called to share your insights?
What imprint do you want to leave on humanity?
Envision the full moon luminously shining over the crown of your head.
How do you feel when you're in the moment?
Envision the full moon luminously shining over the crown of your head.
Feel the moon sparkles shower down your head,
Across your face,
Down your neck,
And cascading down your back.
Each beam of the moon sheds down your body,
Cleansing and releasing anything your heart is ready to part with.
Sit in this moon bath and allow every feeling,
Every sensation to bubble up.
The pure,
White,
Full moonlight encapsulates your whole being into stillness,
Nourishment,
And rest.
Share gratitude with the moon for providing the gift of illumination.
To remind us of the depth of our emotions,
No matter how buried they may be,
That they may come to light as we are held in the wholeness of the moon.
Deepen your breath,
Breathing into your mind,
Your body,
And your heart.
Bring one palm to your heart and the other palm on top of that one,
And simply bow to yourself,
Honoring yourself.
When you are ready to close your meditation,
Gently open the eyes,
Lift the head,
Journal on any insight that came through,
And continue on with your full moon ritual.
