After one last,
Most exuberant inhale,
You enjoy every sense available to you in this lifetime.
And now,
Surrender your body to the exhale.
Your physical body becomes soft and heavy.
As a bird released from the cage,
Witness your consciousness liberated from the vessel of the physical body toward the vastness above you.
Hovering for a moment to view all worries,
All earthly sorrows becoming smaller and further away.
Until they are no longer intelligible.
There is no more struggle.
See the boundaries between yourself and the earth blurring.
With time,
All edges disappear.
The heat that once animated you is dispersed and now the body is full of empty space.
Untethered,
You will travel far,
Beyond the human drama,
Beyond all identities you once knew,
Beyond your story of self.
Wherein,
Words become obsolete and all is dissolved into a great consuming vibration.
Om.
And so there is a final expansion and then a collapse.
The cells that once accumulated to grow you into being now become dust.
Now released into earth,
Sinking deep into the roots of flowers and trees,
Or scattered into wind,
Or devoured and transformed as nourishment for another being.
Now you see what you are and have always been.
You are not this body.
You are more spacious.
You are becoming space.
You are consciousness unbound.
You are everything and nothing.
You are a brief moment of life on a planet that is a million times more vast and full than you can ever fathom.
And yet,
Just as this moment is forever etched in the records of deep time,
You too are infinite.
Om.
Oh awakening,
Gone,
Gone,
Beyond gone,
To the further shore.
Amen.
