Hello everyone and welcome.

My name is Jocelyn Bigout.

I'm a traditional Usui Reiki Master Practitioner and a holistic therapist.

Today I offer you to reconnect with your inner child.

This powerful meditation will help you to release deep emotional blockages and pain.

As you let go of the emotions and heaviness that are associated with negative childhood experiences,

You will be able to recapture the innocence and joy of your childhood.

Let's begin by getting into a comfortable position in a place where you won't be disturbed,

Relaxing your body while your mind stays alert.

Close your eyes and make any adjustments you need to settle into comfort.

Take three deep breaths in through the nose and completely exhale,

Releasing all the air in your lungs through the mouth.

Falling deeper into relaxation,

Feeling your body's full weight underneath you,

Bring your breathing to its normal rhythm.

Let your eyes get heavier.

Unclench your jaw and relax your cheeks.

Over your shoulders,

Relax your arms and your hands.

Soften your stomach and feel your legs and your feet get heavier and melt into deeper relaxation.

Feel your body here,

Warm,

Relaxed,

Soft.

Now imagine yourself in a safe,

Happy place using all of your senses.

Now think of your childhood self.

Create a mental image in your mind's eye of them.

Be patient as you allow the vision to become crisper.

Picture the face.

Focus on the eyes,

The mouth,

The posture.

Take some time to observe your inner child and their expressions.

Are there tears in their eyes?

Or are they giggling and laughing with joy?

Notice the child's demeanor.

What feelings might their body language become being?

What message can you read in the eyes and the line of the mouth,

The set of the shoulders?

Now listen carefully.

What do you hear?

What do you smell?

What do you feel?

Pause while you take all this in.

Now ask your inner child what it is they feel and need from you at the moment.

Is it comfort?

Is it fun or playtime?

Is it safety and security?

Is it to feel like they are good enough,

Strong enough,

Capable enough and inherently worthy of love and acceptance just the way they are?

Now if your inner child is comfortable enough,

Sit next to or lovingly hold them.

Assure them that you love and care for them.

Remind them that you are now the loving,

Emotionally available parent they've always needed.

Assure them that you will never leave or abandon them like their critical parent may have had.

Tell them I love you.

I value you.

You will always matter to me.

Allow them to process this connection and patiently listen for any messages they may need to share from their own healing.

Affirm and validate their feelings and experiences,

Whether positive or negative.

Listen to your inner child.

Now thank your inner child for this time you have spent together.

Assure them that you love them unconditionally and are available to them whenever and however they need you.

Gently remind them you must now get back to your adult self but that you will routinely be checking in on their feelings and needs.

As you come back from this meditation,

Take a few more deep breaths in through the nose and again fully releasing the air from your lungs through the mouth.

Now you can come back here and now.
