With the Lunar Nodes, Pluto, and the Sun currently highlighting Aries in Chiron (just before Pluto's entry into Aquarius on Jan 20, 2023!), I know you've been facing a lot of triggers. It might seem like all of your usual attempts to escape from the discomfort Chiron & Pluto may be bringing to the surface are not an option right now. This is why I recorded this brief meditation for you to honor whatever emotions might be coming up for you right now, and to connect with their underlying need. Under every emotion is usually an unmet need. This practice allows you to understand how to take care of it yourself, so you don't project it onto others and perpetuate the very patterns you are being asked to heal. Grabbing a comfortable seat and taking some deep breaths in through the nose into the belly closing the eyes drawing the crown of the head up towards the sky the shoulders down the back and continue to take these deep breaths into the belly feeling the ground beneath you supporting you holding you feeling rooted into the earth sending tiny roots through the soil the surface beneath you into the core of the earth and just tuning into your body here in this present moment staying connected to the breath drawing it into the belly ribs and chest exhaling from the chest ribs and belly making the exhales longer than the inhales exhaling getting into the parasympathetic nervous system maybe even making sounds on the exhale whatever feels like it wants to come out naturally tuning into your body and any sensations that are present right now perhaps there's tightness in the chest or in the throat in the belly just noticing if there's any heaviness or unsettled sensation in the body and placing a hand in that place connecting to this sensation letting it know that you're here and that you're listening either out loud or in your head and seeing if it has anything to share with you this might come up as another sensation or a memory or something like that but it's going to come up as another sensation or a memory or something like that a thought a word sound just letting it know that you're listening and that you're open to hearing what it has to share with you and then when you feel you've given it enough space to be heard name this emotion is it fear sadness whatever it might be and using its name ask it what it needs what does it need from you in this moment perhaps it needs to be seen validated maybe it needs to be acknowledged maybe it needs to have permission to feel angry to feel whatever it might be maybe it needs to move maybe it needs to create maybe it needs to just cuddle up in a blanket with some tea and again letting it know that you're here and you're going to try your very best to honor these needs and to keep listening it's not alone because you're here and you're going to honor it as best you can and just noticing how the body feels after you've let it know that you're here does the tension dissipate in any way does it feel lighter and maybe the change is only slight and that's okay too i'm just trying to honor what it said it needed and notice saying what happens
