Hello and welcome to this resourcing and safety meditation.

You can do this meditation seated or laying down,

Listening to what your body desires as you begin to settle in for your practice.

Taking some easy,

Generous breaths into the body.

Filling up your lungs to capacity as you inhale.

And letting out a sigh and some sound on the exhale.

Breathing into all the tight corners of your being.

Beginning to let go of what came before and what will come after.

Allowing yourself to begin to arrive right here,

Right now as you breathe.

Softening the jaw,

The face,

The chest,

The belly.

Allowing the eyes to rest and the body to breathe however it wants to.

This is time and space for you.

Letting your breath find its natural rhythm as you begin to drop your awareness down to where you meet the Earth.

Really feeling the support that is underneath you.

Letting the gravity soften your body down into the Earth as the Earth comes up to hold you,

To support you.

Feeling and receiving that support as you let yourself be held.

Beginning to open your awareness to the aliveness of your body.

Starting to tune in and notice physical sensations in the body.

Perhaps temperature.

Movement.

Blank space.

Without trying to fix or change or make better,

Just notice what is alive in your body right here,

Right now.

And allowing the body to pull you from sensation to sensation.

Tracking and exploring these sensations as they change shape,

Texture,

Color.

As they disappear or become stronger.

And if the energy gets pulled into the thinking or trying to figure it out,

Just becoming curious and kind as you gently drop your attention back down into the body.

Exploring this intimate way of connecting to life.

And with this embodied awareness,

Now begin to scan your body and see if you can find a place that feels safe.

Perhaps it's your hands or your feet or your legs.

Or maybe a sensation of warmth or heaviness.

If it feels out of reach or unclear,

See if you can find a place that feels neutral or perhaps easier or softer.

And when you find that place,

Allow your awareness to drop in.

And notice what sensations let you know that this feels safe or easy or neutral.

Perhaps it's a solidness or a lightness or a spaciousness or a temperature.

Just notice what sensations are here in this place.

And letting yourself really drop into those sensations.

Becoming those sensations.

Maybe there's an image or a color that arises.

Inviting yourself to drop all the way into that safety,

To those sensations,

To your experience,

Letting it envelop you.

Begin to breathe into that safety,

Into those sensations,

Activating them,

Awakening them.

Imagine this safety growing,

Expanding.

Breathe into that safety as you allow those sensations to take up more space.

Really feeling this as a full-bodied experience.

What is the overall felt sense in your body right now?

Taking a few deep,

Full breaths into your sensations,

Into your body,

Into this safety.

And remembering that you can come back.

You can grow this capacity,

That this is a new language.

It takes time to learn.

So being gentle with yourself and remembering that you can come back to your body.

You can come back to your breath.

You can return moment to moment.
