Welcome to your Nourishing Your Roots audio practice.

This is a relaxing,

Sweet,

Nourishing practice that can be done any time to bring more presence,

Rest,

And space into the system.

So first we will move the body and then we'll lay down or sit down.

So begin by just tuning into the body.

Taking a nice full deep breath in and out.

Start to let the body move or stretch in any way that feels good.

Really giving the body permission to move how it wants to.

Finding that breath.

Maybe letting out some sound.

Just really taking your time.

Already beginning to slow down as you follow the body's lead.

Perhaps doing some gentle movement in the face.

Maybe placing hands on the body.

Really allowing whatever is alive in your body to be met with your breath,

Your sound,

Your movement.

And when that feels like it's starting to complete,

No rush.

You can pause the recording if your body wants to move more.

But when you're ready,

Just gently,

Slowly start to find a comfortable position and place to either sit down or lay down.

Something that really allows your body to relax completely.

Giving yourself a pillow or a blanket if you need.

Really setting the intention here for deep nourishment.

And remember we're just inviting the body to relax.

We're not forcing it or pushing.

We're just inviting some softness and some nourishment.

And when you have arrived,

Take three expansive breaths in through your nose and sigh out the mouth.

Each breath inviting the body to soften and melt into the earth.

Feeling how the earth comes up to meet you,

How it holds you.

Breathing into that support.

Receiving the nourishment from the earth.

And then beginning at your feet,

Bringing your awareness to fill both your feet as you breathe into them.

As you notice the sensations in your feet.

And then gently begin to let the feet drop down into the earth,

Releasing them,

Letting go.

And then bringing your awareness to your legs.

Really breathing in the full length of your legs.

Inhabiting them,

Letting the awareness fill both your legs as you breathe into them.

And noticing what sensations are here in your legs.

And then ever so gently starting to allow them to drop,

To release,

To get heavy,

To rest down into the earth.

Letting gravity melt them as you relax them completely.

And then moving into your belly,

Into your chest,

Into your back.

Filling your whole torso with your awareness,

With your breath.

And noticing what sensations are here.

And then gently beginning to soften and let go,

Allowing the whole torso to drop into the earth,

Surrendering it.

And then moving into your arms,

Your shoulders,

Your hands.

Letting the awareness fill your arms completely.

Breathing into them.

And noticing what sensations are there.

And then gently begin to let your arms drop into the earth,

To let them surrender to gravity as they melt.

As you let go.

And moving now into your face,

Into your neck,

Into your skull.

Letting the awareness fill that space.

Breathing into your head,

Into your face,

Into your neck.

And noticing what sensations are there.

And then ever so gently begin to let your head,

Your neck,

Your face drop into the earth.

Releasing them completely.

Softening the entire body.

Letting it be soil.

Letting it rest.

Feeling yourself returning to the earth.

And imagine yourself as soil,

As roots,

As part of this underground world.

And imagine yourself taking in the nourishment that you need.

If you could receive what you need.

If you could trust and allow.

Imagining your roots,

Receiving that nutrients,

That nourishment.

Breathing that in and absorbing it into your bones.

Really feeling how you can receive and you can take in the nourishment that you need to bloom.

And you can rest here for as long as you want,

Receiving the nourishment that you need.
