Hello and welcome to your resourcing audio practice.
You can use this practice anytime to deepen your ability to resource in your physical surroundings,
Your internal landscape,
Your life,
And in the greater-than-human world.
Resourcing allows us to grow our capacity to meet what is challenging.
In embodied resourcing,
We are simply practicing attuning to what feels supportive.
So,
Find a comfortable place to sit,
Something that allows your body to relax but also to feel alive and awake.
Before you close your eyes,
Take a look around your space,
Letting your eyes wander until they land on something in your space that feels good or easy or safe or for whatever reason just brings a sense of goodness to your body.
And let your eyes rest there,
Taking a few breaths into this outside physical resource.
And notice what it feels like in your body as you do this.
What is it like to attune to this thing in your external environment?
And then when you're ready,
Let your eyes wander again until you find something else in your space.
Taking a few breaths into that.
Realizing what this is like.
And now we will begin to explore inside.
So you can have your eyes closed or cast them down and find your breath,
Allowing the body to breathe however it wants to.
It might feel good to breathe in through the nose and sigh out the mouth.
It might feel nice to allow a little gentle movement in the face,
Just letting the energy soften.
Taking a few more generous breaths.
Maybe even allowing the body to adjust or move if it wants to.
Taking in one last full deep breath,
Really breathing into the fullness of you,
And sigh it out the mouth,
Relaxing the body,
The chest,
The belly down into the earth.
Allowing the breath now to find a natural rhythm as you start to tune in to the support underneath you.
Feeling where you meet it.
Breathing into that solid support.
Inviting yourself to relax and soften down.
Really letting yourself be supported,
Be held.
Breathing in as the earth holds you.
And then gently beginning to tune into the physical sensations in the body.
You might notice temperature.
Or perhaps movement of energy,
Tingles,
Vibrations,
Tingles.
Perhaps you notice pressure,
Spaces that feel tighter,
Or spaces that feel open,
Soft,
Heavy,
Numb,
Just noticing without trying to fix or change or make anything different,
What are the physical sensations in your body?
And now begin to scan your body for a place or space inside that feels safe or good or yummy or easy or perhaps just a little bit better than neutral.
Taking your time.
Feeling where in my body feels good or safe or easy.
When you find that place,
Really let your whole awareness drop into it.
What sensations are there that let you know that this feels good or easy or safe or just a little bit better?
Is there warmth or coolness,
Tingles,
Heaviness,
Softness?
Really notice what is here in this space.
And breathe into it.
Allow it to grow a little,
To take up a little bit more room as you attune to this space inside that for whatever reason right now feels supportive.
Notice what's happening in the rest of your body as you tune into this internal physical resource.
And taking a nice easy breath as you release that focus and attention.
And begin now to imagine something in your life that right now feels like a resource,
Feels supportive.
Maybe it's a person present or past,
Alive or dead,
An animal.
Maybe it's a memory or a place that you love to go.
Just let whatever arise here.
And if something comes,
Really trust it.
Breathe into it.
Allow this being or this thing to be here with you.
Maybe they're gazing into your eyes or maybe you're replaying a really wonderful memory or you're imagining that you're in this space,
This place that you love to go to.
Breathing into whatever's here and just noticing what this is like to attune to a resource that's in your life.
Taking an easy breath as you begin to release that and now starting to feel into whatever else might want to be here with you as a resource.
So maybe it's a wild animal or a force of nature,
A mountain,
The ocean.
Maybe a divine figure or a magical being,
Really anything.
Just for a few moments,
See what else wants to show up to support you,
To protect you,
To simply be here with you.
And if something arises,
Notice what that's like.
Notice where you are in relationship to it.
Is it beside you or around you or laying on your lap?
Just notice.
And what does this feel like in your body for this resource to be here with you?
Taking a few more breaths into this resource,
This exterior,
Intangible,
Greater than human resource,
And notice what you notice.
And taking an easy breath as you begin to release that.
And now see if you can hold all these layers of support.
So your internal physical resource,
That place in your body that feels good or safe or yummy,
And that person or memory or animal that you know or have known in your life.
And lastly,
Whatever external,
Intangible,
Greater than human resource that showed up for you,
Holding all these layers of support while the earth holds you and the space that you're in holds you.
Noticing what this is like.
What does it feel like to be you right now?
Taking a few sweet breaths into all these layers of support,
All these resources,
Feeling whatever is here.
Taking a full,
Generous breath into your body,
Into these resources,
And then slowly,
At your own pace,
You can start to come back to your space.
Giving yourself lots of time to look around,
Letting your head and neck follow your eyes as you begin to orient back to your surroundings.
Maybe placing hands on body and just feeling what is it like now?
What are you noticing now?
And remember,
You can come back to these resources.
You can tune in in any given moment and feel for what feels supportive.
How can I attune to that,
Orient to that,
Breathe into that?
And remember,
This is an art form.
It takes practice.
So if this was challenging or felt out of reach,
It's okay.
Continue to show up,
Continue to practice,
Continue to feel into resources,
And you will grow your capacity.
And with that,
The aliveness,
The freedom,
And your wholeness will also grow.
