This is a simple breath and awareness practice for when you need to remember to breathe. There is no specific breathwork technique needed; you can choose to breathe with the nose or the mouth. The purpose of the practice is to simply remember to breathe, and to reconnect with your self.

This is a breathwork practice for remembering to breathe.

It is absolutely normal to forget to breathe.

And it's really just a matter of awareness,

Noticing the forgetting,

And then deciding to change.

So,

If you're forgetting to breathe,

Just find yourself in a comfortable position,

Either sitting or lying down.

Find the contact between you and the surface,

Either the seat or the floor,

Or maybe your bed.

And get a sense of yourself in this moment.

And let your shoulders,

Chest relax.

Your elbows and your hands relax.

Let your head rest.

Let your hips,

Thighs,

Knees,

Ankles,

Feet,

Toes relax.

Now,

Get a sense of your breathing and notice the quality of your breath.

Notice if it's shallow.

Notice if it's pacing.

However your breath is in this moment is perfect exactly the way it is.

And we can still decide to bring more intention into our breath.

Notice the pace of your thoughts and the quality of your thoughts.

And allow all of that to just happen without trying to fix or change anything.

Now,

Begin to inhale and exhale into the belly.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Exhale.

Exhale.

We'll do five more.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Exhale.

Last one.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Holding at the bottom and returning back to natural breath.

Just allowing yourself to be still.

To notice yourself in this moment.

Just allowing the breath to come in and out naturally.

Allowing your body to rest.

Allowing yourself to just be without doing.

Allowing all the thoughts,

All the sensations,

All the worries,

All the concerns,

All the hopes,

All the to-do lists.

Just allowing it all to be.

Taking as much time as you need to remember to breathe.

Thank you for taking the time to take care of yourself.

And I wish you a great rest of your day.

Bye for now.
