This cacao-infused journey invites you to soften, ground, and return to your centre by learning to feel deeply without carrying what isn’t yours. You’ll be gently guided through moments of awareness, release, and reclamation, supported by a song born from a poem I wrote, transformed into melody and intention. A journey for the sensitive souls, the empaths, the over-feelers, and anyone ready to reclaim their energy, learning to respond with wisdom, and stand peacefully in their power. This track was recorded live during one of our weekly cacao ceremonies here on Insight Timer. This is a regular space where hearts gather from around the world to slow down, connect, and remember who we are beneath the noise. It is one of my favourite times of the week when we gather together and allow cacao to lead us back to ourselves. Prepare your cup of cacao before pressing play, as the journey begins straight away. Close your eyes,

Placing both your hands over your heart as we start taking some nice nourishing breaths.

Coming into this present moment as I call upon the beautiful goddess here with me,

Guide my heart in sovereignty.

Your light protects both fierce and kind.

No storm can shake my peaceful mind.

No cruel word can steal my grace.

No heavy energy will take my space.

My heart,

My shield,

Calm,

Strong and true.

I choose my peace in all I do.

Surrounded by love,

Defended by light,

Safe in this day,

Safe in this night.

So just breathe in that light,

That light that surrounds us,

That light that protects us,

The light and the energy that connects us all here.

Just breathing it into your heart,

Allowing that energy to soften you,

Allowing your breath to ground you.

Taking another nice deep inhale and exhale as I invite you to grab your cacao.

Holding it in cupped hands so that you can feel the warmth around your fingers,

Feeling that warmth starting to radiate up your hands,

Along your arms,

Smelling that beautiful aroma of your cacao.

As we take a moment to pay gratitude and blessings to Mama Cacao.

Thank you Mama Cacao for your divine gift that we are about to receive.

We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Owners,

Farmers and Ancestors of the sacred lands from which you came and the lands on which we all now stand.

For me,

I thank the Yugamba people for this beautiful place in which I call home and together we pay respect to all the Elders of all the lands past,

Present and emerging.

With this cup of cacao,

We gather together tonight to honour our emotions without letting others control our inner world.

With Mama Cacao warming our hearts,

We step into our power,

We feel fully and we respond wisely so that we can remain sovereign.

So tonight we're going to take our first three sips together in honour of our past,

Our present and our future selves.

So our first sip tonight is in honour of our past self and tonight we get to recognise the reactive patterns that we have carried.

Take a moment to recall a time when you reacted out of fear,

Out of hurt or out of anger.

We're just noticing it,

We are not judging.

Noticing those feelings that arose at that time.

And as we take our first sip of cacao,

Allow it to gently warm and open your heart.

Feeling that first sip of cacao entering your body,

I want you to say to yourself,

I honour my past self and release all reactions that no longer serve me.

Just breathing in that energy,

Offering compassion to your past self.

And visualising all those old emotions,

Those old reactions,

Dissolving.

And with our second sip together,

This is in honour of our present self,

The version of us right here,

Right now,

Who is aware of our triggers.

Take a moment to notice how you feel right now in this moment,

Any thoughts,

Any sensations,

Any emotions.

And with gratitude,

We take a sip of cacao,

Letting it support our clarity,

Our awareness and our grounding.

Just breathing in that energy.

As you say to yourself,

I feel my feelings fully and respond with conscious awareness.

Breathing in that energy.

It's steadying your presence,

Strengthening your inner boundary.

And building that awareness of those triggers.

And with our third sip together,

This is in honour of our future self,

The person that you are becoming,

A version of you who learns to pause,

To regulate and to respond wisely.

Taking a nice deep breath and visualise your future self fully embodying calm,

Sovereignty and discernment.

And then with gratitude,

Taking a sip of your cacao,

Integrating this energy into your body and into your being.

And as you breathe in that energy,

Say to yourself,

I am patient,

Powerful and respond from love and wisdom.

Just breathing it in.

Knowing that with your growth,

With your becoming,

We learn to be soft,

Yet strong.

Protecting our energy while allowing compassion to flow freely.

Taking a nice deep breath together,

Letting all three selves,

All three versions of ourself harmonise,

Our past releases,

Our present grounds and our future empowers.

Just breathing that in as we say to ourself,

I am whole,

I am present,

I am sovereign.

Just breathing into your heart,

I want you to continue to sip your cacao.

You can sip it slowly as we take a journey together,

If possible keeping your eyes closed,

Making sure that you are comfortable.

I want you to imagine that you are walking along a peaceful pathway.

And cacao is warming your chest,

Opening your heart,

You're feeling grounded,

Calm and steady.

This peaceful path represents your inner clarity.

And in the distance,

You hear a rumble,

A big,

Heavy garbage truck approaching.

It's clattering,

It's overstuffed,

It's leaking rubbish.

This rubbish represents someone else's old anger or soggy disappointment.

The driver of this truck is someone carrying pain that they never learnt to release.

It's their emotional bin which is overflowing.

You notice the truck stops right near you,

And the driver gestures like they're about to dump it all out,

Right into your pathway.

Take a deep breath and practice our pause.

You feel your heart respond,

Not with fear,

But with a knowing.

As cacao rises in your chest,

Forming a golden sphere of protection around you,

Strong,

Soft,

Loving,

Unshakable.

It glows with the truth,

This garbage does not belong to me.

And as the truck tries to unload the garbage,

It hits your boundary and dissolves.

It becomes light,

Becomes dust,

It doesn't reach you,

It doesn't cross your pathway.

You didn't fight,

You didn't absorb it,

You simply stayed in your power.

Taking a sip of your cacao,

If you still have some there.

I want you to say to yourself,

I no longer accept what is not mine.

Just breathing in that energy.

This magic of the pause,

This magic of knowing that that rubbish does not belong to us,

Has allowed us to transform somebody's anger into compassion,

Somebody's frustrations into understanding,

Somebody's chaos into calm.

Being here,

Being still,

Standing in your power,

Your presence alone becomes alchemy.

And you look at the driver with a gentle empathy,

Because their burden was never truly yours to carry.

Their burden was never about you.

And you offer them a silent blessing that they may find peace.

And you simply turn and keep walking.

And as you walk along this pathway,

You feel lighter,

Calmer,

Freer and more sovereign than ever before.

And just breathing into that energy,

Perhaps having one hand over your heart,

Reminding yourself that your peace is sacred,

That you can learn to respond and not react.

That your energy is yours to direct.

Just breathing that in,

As we take a moment to finish our cacaos,

If you have any left.

I've walked through fires,

Felt the burn,

Quick to react.

Feeling that peace.

As you walk on your path,

Reminding yourself that your heart can stay soft,

Your boundaries can stay strong.

And anytime that you are struggling,

You can simply say to yourself,

I refuse to carry what is not mine.

Thank you,

And blessed be.

A truly beautiful and powerful ceremony! Absolutely amazing. The song at the end was so moving and resonated so fully, that I had tears rolling down my face. A huge moment of release, after a very stressful and tiring few weeks. I'll revisit this very often. Thank you so much. 🤗💐💛🙏 xx
