Welcome to your guided meditation for awakening your true nature of peaceful being.

Take a moment here to get settled into your posture,

Getting as comfortable as possible,

And then gently closing your eyes if that feels good.

Or if you prefer,

You can find a gentle gaze on the floor in front of you.

Peaceful being is an emotionally calm and mentally clear state of mind and body.

Through meditation we can access quieter levels of the mind,

Which allows us to release stored stress and conditioning that can weigh us down,

Making us tired,

And at times making us slide back into emotional reactivity,

Which can cloud our outlook on life and circumstances.

To awaken the true nature of peaceful being,

All you have to do is hold your presence in the present moment,

Releasing all judgment and labeling,

Accepting and observing the moment and all that it contains for what it is,

And not for what you expect it to be.

This is true for moments in our waking daily lives as well as within meditation.

So let's dip into our stillness to practice awakening the nature of peaceful being.

We'll begin with a breath and body scan,

And taking that first slow sip of air in through the nose and out.

And at the bottom of that breath,

Taking in another slow sip of air in through the nose and making that exhale a little longer.

And one more breath in and out.

And returning your attention to your natural pace of breath,

Feeling your breath become a little more expansive,

Perhaps noticing the circulation in your body,

And bringing that awareness to your forehead,

Noticing any sensation here,

Any pressure or any tension,

And allowing the brow to relax,

Allowing the eyes to feel heavy,

Bringing that awareness down to the jaw,

Creating space here by resting your tongue on the root of your mouth and parting your teeth.

And as the jaw relaxes,

Noticing your ears relaxing too,

And perhaps noticing some ease coming back into the breath,

And allowing that relaxation to travel down the neck to the shoulders,

Softening the chest and the back,

Unknotting the torso,

Allowing it to expand fully as you breathe,

Relaxing your hands and settling into your hips,

Allowing them to support you as you rest,

And feeling the weight of your legs,

Allowing that weight to soften the knees and the ankles,

And releasing that nearly undetectable tension in the thighs,

Abs and feet.

Resting here,

Surrendering,

And right when you think you've surrendered,

Surrender a little more,

Allowing both body and mind to float,

Drifting off into stillness,

Being present in the moment by anchoring the mind into the body,

Following that breath,

Observing the breath entering and exiting the body,

Noticing what that sensation feels like in the nose,

In the chest and in the belly.

Keep following that breath for the next few minutes.

I'll be holding space for you here and watching the clock.

Take a Williamson.
