We are souls, chasing dreams, following our hearts in a world filled with ebbs and flows. While we often find our value in the love that comes from others, the biggest source of love you can find in this world is the love you have for yourself. It is the biggest act of self-care. Hello and welcome.

My name is Ashley and today I'm going to guide you in a few moments of self-love.

Find a comfortable position for your body to find stillness for a few moments.

You may sit or lay down.

Do whatever feels best for you right here and right now.

Each day we show up for ourself is called a practice.

It's a practice of self-love,

A practice you are allowing to expand within yourself today.

So let's find the present moment and connect with ourselves a little deeper in this moment than we have all day long so far.

Allow your eyes to close and turn all of your focus to your inhale and your exhale.

Let it flow with ease.

Allow it to be as it is.

Just become aware.

As your chest fills up,

Allow your diaphragm and your belly to fill up too.

You can place your right hand on your belly to fill that expansion with each breath.

Just be here with your breath.

We all feel moments of love,

Of joy,

Of anger,

Of sadness,

Of inspiration,

Of acceptance.

We all feel everything as it moves through our bodies.

The change is constant.

We are ebbing and flowing with each life experience.

And that change can be hard,

Unknown,

Cause fear and anxiety.

Remove your tongue from the roof of your mouth.

Relax the tension in your jaw and between your eyebrows.

Just be here in this moment for yourself,

For your soul,

For your heart.

Finding this place of stillness allows for you to accept change and the waves of life we are all riding on.

Knowing yourself in the stillness,

In the quiet,

Is the place of endless self-love.

This is the place you will find forgiveness,

Understanding,

Compassion for yourself and for others.

Just allow your compassion and love for yourself expand with each inhale,

Allowing the breath to feel like a giant hug you are giving yourself.

If thoughts come up,

Say hello and farewell and allow them to drift away like clouds in the sky.

You are here,

Connecting with yourself,

Showing up for yourself.

Self-love isn't a trend or a hashtag.

It is a way of being,

Of being in the moment with the real version of you.

The version of you without the masks we often wear for others.

The version of you that understands imperfection is the standard.

We are all imperfect,

Which makes us all perfectly imperfect,

Exactly who we are supposed to be.

I'm going to leave you for a moment and I want you to focus on your breath.

With each inhale in your mind's eye,

Repeat,

I am aware of my inhale.

And with each exhale in your mind's eye,

Repeat,

I am aware of my exhale.

I will come back to you and guide you through the rest of the practice.

Just focus on your breath.

You can let the awareness of your breath go.

Come back to this place where you are sitting or laying down and feel the earth beneath your body.

Feel your presence on this planet,

In the room you are in,

On the floor you are on or on the chair you are on.

You are here in the present moment.

I want you to allow your body to find some movement.

You can wiggle your fingers and your toes,

Rolling out your wrists,

Carefully rocking your head side to side,

Finding whatever movement you need.

We're going to take one more inhale and exhale together.

And with the inhale,

I want you to take the biggest stretch you have taken today.

I want you to take up space.

We're going to do that together.

Inhale,

Allow your body to stretch and expand,

Taking up all the space you can possibly take.

And with your exhale,

Release and allow your eyes to flutter open to the room you are sitting in.

Gently bring your hand up to your heart and thank yourself for showing up today.

If you need the reminder at any point during the day,

Remember you are enough.

You are enough.

You are enough.

Thank you for showing up for yourself today.
