Hello and welcome amazing meditators to this I am courageous meditation.

My name is Ashley Looker and I will be your guide.

This meditation is great for those who may be needing a little boost of courage in their life right now.

You see courage isn't something that you have or you don't have.

Courage is a choice.

We are all courageous.

It's just that maybe sometimes we choose something different.

Maybe we choose fear over courage,

Doubt over courage,

Judgment over courage or negativity over courage.

I know I have countless times but we're all courageous beings because we all have heart.

Courage is the ability to do something that frightens you or to take action without certainty.

And my hunch is that you have done that many many times in your life and you've just simply forgotten how courageous you really are.

So let's take these next few moments here to find that nice comfortable seat.

Maybe sitting on a meditation cushion or in a chair or wherever it is that you feel most comfortable.

And as you find this comfortable seat we're just going to allow the body and the mind to settle into this moment.

And to help us settle into this moment let's find the breath.

So starting to connect with the breath as it moves in through the nose and out through the nose.

I encourage you to stay with this breath.

Stay in the present moment as we move through this meditation together.

The more present we are the more courageous we are.

Courage happens in a moment in a breath.

It's about tapping into that courage right now.

And when you feel ready bring to mind a time when you felt really courageous or you did something that took a lot of courage.

Maybe you started a necessary yet uncomfortable conversation with someone.

Maybe you talked about how you were feeling.

Maybe you asked for a promotion.

You asked for what you needed.

Maybe you did something outside of your comfort zone that took a lot of courage.

Whatever it is bring that situation to mind.

See yourself in that moment being courageous.

How did it feel for you in this courageous moment?

How did it feel in your body?

See if you can tap into that feeling now.

Did it feel scary and yet you still found that little speck of courage that you needed to tap into?

Did you have an I can do this attitude?

How did it feel for you?

And what inspired this courageous act big or small?

What inspired you to take that act of courage?

And how did you feel after this courageous act?

Did you walk away saying,

Holy moly,

I can't believe I just did that.

Or,

Yes,

I can't believe I just did that.

How did it feel?

And as you hold this experience in your mind's eye,

Place both hands over your heart.

And take this next moment to acknowledge that you did that.

You took that courageous action,

No one else.

When you needed to be courageous,

You were.

You chose to be courageous,

Therefore you are a courageous human being.

And with your hands over your heart,

Really start to feel into the courage that resides within your heart.

Feel the courage,

The warmth in your heart right now.

Even saying to yourself,

I did that.

I was courageous.

I am courageous.

Breathe into your courageous heart now.

Fuel that courage in your heart.

Breathe into it.

And ending with these courageous affirmations repeating after me.

I am capable of courageous acts.

I choose to lead my life with courage.

No matter what,

I will be okay.

No matter what,

I trust myself.

Nothing can stop me.

I am courageous.

Take a deep breath and breathe in those confirmations,

Those affirmations,

That truth of who you are.

And exhale,

Let it go.

As you draw your hands back down into your lap,

Settling into this courageous being that you are.

And when you feel ready,

Blinking your eyes open,

Becoming aware of your surroundings.

Thank you so,

So much for meditating with me today,

You courageous soul.

And until we meditate together again,

Namaste.
