Thank you for joining me for this gentle practice to soothe,
Heal,
And support your inner child.
The essence of who you were before the world told you how to act and who to be.
This is a good time to enjoy a few deep,
Easy breaths.
And if you're comfortable,
Closing the eyes and placing a hand on your heart.
And taking a moment to set the intention to approach your inner child with kindness,
Offering comfort,
Care,
And reassurance.
And the invitation in this practice is to repeat these words aloud or silently to yourself while simply being present with whatever arises in your awareness.
Let's begin.
My inner child,
I see you.
I am here for you.
You matter to me.
You are safe.
You are loved.
You are protected.
I'll keep you safe.
I'll make time for you.
You are special to me.
Your needs are important to me.
Your feelings are valid.
Your voice mattered then and it matters now.
It is safe for you to be yourself.
You have the right to be who you are.
It is safe for you to explore.
It is safe for you to try new things.
It's okay to make mistakes.
It's okay to ask for help.
It is safe for you to give and receive love.
You deserve to feel safe in all of your relationships.
You are deserving of kindness.
You are worthy of love.
You are important.
You belong with me.
You are safe with me.
It is safe to feel how you feel.
I respect who you are.
I respect the person you are becoming.
Thank you for being who you are.
And now connecting with yourself today,
Repeat these words.
I matter.
I am safe.
I am loved.
I am protected.
My needs are important to me.
My voice mattered then and it matters now.
I am a friend to myself.
I make time for myself.
My needs and feelings are valid.
It is safe for me to be myself.
It is safe to feel how I feel.
It is safe for me to explore.
It is safe for me to try new things.
It's okay to make mistakes.
It's okay to ask for help.
I am deserving of kindness.
I am worthy of love.
I am worthy of respect.
I matter.
It is safe for me to give and receive love.
I deserve to feel safe in all of my relationships.
I care for and protect myself.
It is safe for me to put myself first.
I appreciate who I am.
I respect the person I am becoming.
I believe in myself.
I trust myself.
I am safe.
I am loved.
