Hello and welcome to this meditation.
I invite you to sit comfortably onto the floor or onto your chair,
Somewhere in a position that maintains a nice long spine so that you're able to really breathe fully and deeply into your belly,
Into your chest,
And into your entire body,
Even out into the limbs and the fingertips and all the way up to the crown.
And allow this crown to reach up to its most northern point and just begin to focus in on your breath for a few moments,
Allowing it to be natural and perhaps taking a few moments to breathe really deeply into your belly,
Filling up your lungs to their fullest capacity and allowing your exhales to escape out heavily,
Maybe even as a sigh,
Perhaps letting go of a little more tension in the body or a little bit more resistance in the breath itself.
Feel your connection points beneath your seats,
Your connection down into the earth.
Become very aware of this space that you're currently residing in,
The environment you're in,
Taking notice of any sounds you might hear.
Perhaps beyond the windows there's a chirping bird or an airplane flying overhead.
Or maybe within the walls of your home you can hear a distant sound of the family or maybe just the rumble of the furnace.
But look at all of these things not as distractions but instead view them as anchor points down into this very present moment in time.
Allow them to connect you to where you are in the here and now.
