Welcome to this meditation on connecting with the One.
On one hand this is a meditation,
On the other hand this is almost like we're doing electrician work where we're connecting our wiring with the Supreme,
With the Divine.
You will begin by coming to a still place within yourself.
And what does that really mean to come to a still place within yourself?
Ask yourself this.
What does it feel like,
What does it mean to come to a quiet,
Still place?
And can you enter into this silence as a way of dropping everything else,
All of the ideas and the things in the mind.
Everything so inside that even the noises and external stimulation is quiet.
It's there but what's more dominant is this still,
Quiet place inside yourself.
And listen into the silence.
Spend a few moments listening to the silence.
There may not be external silence but you're listening to the silence underneath the noise.
And as you listen to the silence,
Soften into the silence.
Feel your body relaxing more,
Your mind relaxing more,
Your heart as you melt into the stillness inside.
And you become aware that you are this being of silence,
Presence,
Awareness.
Let go of all the phenomenon of life,
Here you are,
This silent,
Divine consciousness.
And allow yourself to drop into this silence even more.
A depth and a stillness almost like diving into the bottom of the ocean.
Aware that there is plenty of noise on the surface but where your awareness is resting is in this deep,
Deep,
Silent space.
And in this space there is a fullness of love.
That from this depth and core of your being is a great,
Eternal depth of love for all of life.
And in this place where you know and feel yourself,
Can you feel and know the presence of the Divine?
Whichever word or name you like,
Can you feel and know the presence of God?
Can you be still and know?
On our spiritual journeys,
So much of it is about letting go and coming back to the stillness,
To the silence of your being.
And as you are aware,
As you are present,
You come to feel and know the light of yourself and the light of God.
And it's this remembrance that nourishes and fills the soul.
When we're tired we can rest our body,
We can go to sleep and the soul gets a break as well.
But when we're spiritually tired,
Even sleep isn't quite enough.
When we're spiritually tired,
We need the silence and the stillness.
We need our own presence and the presence of the One.
And it's in this stillness that we can rest and recharge and renew in this field of light and connection.
So allow yourself for another few moments together to be still and to know,
To renew yourself in this space of deep awareness,
Silence and love.
And as you take a few breaths and gently bring your awareness into the room that you're in,
Be here and maintain an awareness of this place of silence,
Stillness,
Connection.
And as you move into your life,
Keep maintaining an awareness and come back to this awareness of the silence and the stillness of your presence and of your connection to the One.
And let this be a source of strength and stability and grace in your life.
Om Shanti.
