Welcome to this seven-part series as we dive deep into balancing one chakra energy center per session.
These meditations offer an integrative practice using essential oils,
Pranayama breathing techniques,
And hand mudras.
Essential oils are optional but enhance the practice if you have them available.
Feel free to practice this meditation without oils which will still be a deeply grounding experience.
So let's get started.
Integrative Chakra Balancing Series Segment 7 Crown Chakra the Sahasrara.
Welcome to Segment 7 of Integrative Chakra Balancing where we'll explore the Crown Chakra the Sahasrara represented by the color white or pale lavender.
This is the chakra of pure consciousness and the highest state of spiritual connection are cord to the divine.
In today's meditation we'll start with an essential oil visualization,
Move into a gentle pranayama breathing practice,
And finish with an expansive hand mudra and meditation.
If you're using essential oils try one or more of the following frankincense,
Lavender,
Sandalwood,
Jasmine,
Rose,
Spruce,
Pink lotus,
And buddha wood.
The Crown Chakra is considered an integration of all the chakras so you may choose to pick one oil for each of the chakras we've previously meditated with or make a blend with two or more of the oils I just mentioned or simply pick your favorite and use just one oil for the Crown Chakra.
If you choose to use essential oils gather them around you now.
Find a comfortable seated position and close your eyes.
Begin to breathe into the belly.
Maybe count to three on the in-breath and count to five or six on the out-breath,
Lengthening the exhales starting to relax deeply.
The Crown Chakra is represented by a white or light lavender color.
Imagine this color now radiating outward from the top of your head to the farthest reaches of our universe.
Breathe deeply into this knowing of yourself being part of and made of stardust and infinite cosmic awareness.
Breathe.
Allow this harmonious energy to pour out of the top of your head like a comet's tail,
Freeing you from worldly concerns and connecting you to larger truths.
Continue your deep breaths into the belly.
Now imagine yourself in your favorite environment whether real or imagined.
It may be at a meadow near waterfalls and grass and flowers.
It may be near the ocean in the mountains or desert alone or with anyone you like.
A place that brings joy and inspiration.
Feel a soft smile come to your face as you imagine being in this idyllic setting that allows you to be completely yourself.
Allow this feeling of inspiration,
Freedom and joy to flow through you.
This feeling is our truest connection to the divine bliss.
Hold it close and continue to breathe.
Now open your crown chakra oil and inhale deeply sealing in this connection to source of infinite possibilities and oneness with all there is.
Now we'll take a few moments of meditation with pranayama implementing the yujai breath.
Often used in physical yoga practice it's also a deeply calming breath to do anytime.
It encourages full expansion of the lungs calming the mind and oxygenating the blood.
Continue to sit comfortably bringing your shoulders up and releasing them down the back.
Close your eyes.
To begin the breath gently constrict the back of your throat as though to fog a mirror but exhale with the lips closed creating this sound.
Breathe in and out with this rhythmic oceanic sound.
You'll feel it on the roof of your mouth as you exhale.
At the top of each inhale pause for a moment before slowly releasing the air.
At the bottom of the exhale pause for a moment before inhaling.
Create a comfortable rhythm and continue to breathe this way for several more breaths.
Now return to a normal breath and we'll end with a few moments of meditation with the Hakini mudra or gesture of the goddess Hakini.
Hakini means power.
Touch all your fingertips lightly together in front of you your hands mirroring each other so your thumbs are touching your first fingers are touching your middle fingers are touching and so on.
This will create an open oval space in the center between your hands.
Hold your hands in front of you or your arms can be resting on your thighs here.
Breathe.
Rumi says stop acting so small you are the universe in ecstatic motion.
Namaste.
