In this meditation we will be working on releasing guilt and regret.
Allowing ourselves to let go of the past and understand that mistakes are opportunities for growth.
So find yourself in a comfortable position,
Maybe seated cross-legged on the floor in a chair or lying on your back with your spine in a straight line.
Gently closing down your eyes.
Feeling into the contact points you have with the surface beneath you.
Feeling the weight of your body being completely supported.
Bringing all of your awareness now to an egg-shaped white orb of light directly above the crown of your head.
Taking your awareness out of the physical body above the crown of your head.
Resting here for just a moment,
Viewing life from the eagle's perch.
And now acting as the curious observer as this egg of awareness cracks on the crown of your head.
Watching your awareness flow down all four sides of your head.
Flowing down the back of your head,
Over your temples,
Your forehead,
Eyebrows,
Eyelashes.
Dripping your awareness off the tip of your nose.
Flowing down your cheeks.
Feeling your awareness flowing further down the back of your head.
Your jaw,
Your lips,
And your chin.
Flowing down the front of your throat,
The sides of your neck,
And the back of your neck.
Flowing down into your shoulders.
And dripping your awareness down the upper arms.
Filling into every square inch of the arms.
Touching the elbows on the way down to the forearms.
Flowing over the wrists into your hands and out into each finger.
Bringing your awareness now up to your chest.
Causing within this area as you tune into the beating of your heart.
Focusing the ribs expand and contract with the breath.
And observing as your awareness flows further down the front of your body into your belly.
Breathing into the organs resting behind the abdomen.
Feeling how the breath causes the belly to rise and fall.
Flowing down now to the front of your hips.
And coming down to your pelvic floor.
Bringing all of your awareness now to your upper back and slowly flowing down the backside of your body.
Passing over the shoulder blades.
Weaving in and out through the backs of the ribs.
Running into the lower back.
The backs of the hips.
And into your glutes.
Bringing your attention now down the length of either leg.
Swirling in and around the thigh,
The hamstring.
Passing over the knees.
Down to the lower legs.
Bring over the ankles to the tops of the feet.
Feeling into each toe.
And into the soles of your feet.
Breathing deeply here as you feel into your entire body.
Taking a moment now to tune into a mistake that you may be holding onto.
This mistake can be from the recent past or from the distant past.
Big or small,
Whatever comes to mind.
Getting your intuition to feel into where within your body you feel the mistake.
Is it resting within your heart?
Your lower back?
Your hips?
Perhaps in your hands or your feet.
Locating where within your body you feel the mistake.
Now assigning that mistake shape or a color.
Perhaps you see it within your body as a black square.
A red triangle.
A green circle.
Finally noticing what your intuition brings to you.
Allowing any emotions tied to this mistake to come up.
Seeing these emotions as a tool for learning.
Visualizing the version of you who made this mistake.
Realize this version of you standing in front of you.
As you place your hand on their shoulder.
Letting them know that it's okay.
I know you're sorry.
I forgive you.
I have accepted that I made the mistake.
I have accepted that I did not have the skills or the knowledge that I have today.
I have accepted that I may have been in survival mode.
I have accepted that I was doing the best I could with what I had.
Drawing the other version of you in for a hug.
Testing your warm hands on the back of their heart chakra.
Reminding them that it's okay.
I know you're sorry.
I forgive you.
Seeing this version of you from your grasp.
Looking them in the eye.
Paying attention to the growth that you have experienced because of this mistake.
Looking at this version of you deep in the eyes.
Standing where you were before and where you are now.
Standing now hand in hand.
Together you and your previous self inhale the breath to collect the mistake from wherever it's lying in your body and exhale to release all emotions connected to that mistake out to the universe to be transmuted.
Deeply inhaling sending the breath to the area that holds the mistake.
Checking out the shape or color used to represent the mistake.
One last inhale together with your previous self collecting any remnants of the mistake.
Inhale releasing everything letting it all go.
Just before you watch them walk away they turn to you and place a gift in your hands.
Sending the hand to you.
Feeling gratitude now for this previous version of yourself spending the time with us to release any guilt any regret.
And slowly beginning to bring some movement back to your body wiggling the fingers wiggling the toes stretching out your body in whatever way it's calling you to.
Rubbing the palms of your hands together creating warmth in your palms and placing your cupped palms over the eyes.
Blinking the eyes open allowing the light to enter in through the cracks.
And removing your hands when you are ready to return to your body.
This previous version of yourself will always be here to help you release any guilt or any regret you may feel.
