Transcript

Take a moment to get your pump attached and ready to go and turn it on.

Find some cushions or pillows that you can prop underneath yourself and find a way to get really comfortable and relaxed in the seat that you're in.

And as you begin to relax into your seat,

Thank yourself for showing up for your baby today.

To help bring them nourishment even when you're not with them.

And I'll invite you to close your eyes and begin relaxing into your breath.

Breathe in through your nose,

Inhale and fill up your whole torso with breath and then open your mouth with a deep exhale.

Letting anything go from your day that you need to release.

And breathe in again,

Breathing fully,

Expanding your diaphragm on the inhale and exhale with your mouth open wide.

Releasing any more tension in your body,

Letting it all exhale through your open mouth.

Let's release any tension in our body,

Beginning at the very top of your head and working your way down your body,

Relaxing as you go.

Relaxing your jaw,

Maybe wiggling your shoulders to relax your neck.

Relax your chest and relax your shoulders down your back.

Relax your stomach and your hips,

Feeling them sink deeper into your chair.

Relax your legs,

Relax your feet so that your whole body feels comfortably relaxed.

Enjoy this wonderful time knowing that you're providing nourishment for your baby,

Trusting that your body knows exactly what to do.

It was designed to protect and nourish your baby whilst in the womb and you and your baby always in perfect harmony together.

Know that you can provide as much nutrition as your baby needs and relax into that knowing that you and your baby are in perfect harmony.

Again,

Coming back to your breath and using it to let go of any negative thoughts that should arise through the exhales.

Exhaling any negativity away,

Appreciating your body for the work that it does just by relaxing and letting nature take over.

Each inhale,

Appreciate your body,

Feel gratitude for this moment just to relax and do what your body does best.

And on the exhale,

Letting any negative emotions that should arise just fly away,

Letting them go,

Breathing them out.

Now take the time to appreciate your body and the wonderful role your body plays in nourishing your baby every day.

Your body brings in an abundance of milk.

You can completely trust in your body's ability to provide the perfect amount of milk for your baby.

Trust in the knowing that every time you listen to this meditation,

Your body is providing exactly what your baby needs.

Trust in your body's knowing,

Doesn't it feel good to just let go of any negative feelings and know that all is well for your baby.

You are nourishing your baby in order for them to be strong and healthy.

Feel that deep sense of connectedness to your baby that pumping milk for them provides.

It's a wonderful time to slow down and connect with your baby through your thoughts.

Picture their face,

Tiny hand,

Their precious toes.

Picture them growing up strong and healthy from the nourishment you're providing.

I'll leave you to relax for a few more minutes before we close out this meditation.

As you bring your pumping session to an end,

Thank your body for the work it has done for you and the nourishment it provides for your baby.

Slowly start to wiggle your fingers and toes,

Waking up your body.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes.

When you're all finished,

You can turn off your pump and store your milk.
