Hi,
I'm April Wagner and this week's Morning Alignment message is about cultivating well-being and finding a peaceful mindset as a way to switch gears after a stressful day.
So you have cultivated a sense of peace in most parts of your life,
Very well done.
But there's one aspect in your life that you still tend to lose your cool,
Where you are more comfortable or have authority over others and sometimes take your anxiety out on them.
You don't mean to,
But you're human and the trick is to not allow the anxiety to build up to the point of bursting.
We must release it,
So after a stressful call or after leaving work,
Sit in your car or home office and take a few minutes to align yourself again,
Allowing you to be present,
Open and refreshed with your loved ones.
Take these next few minutes to switch modes,
For you are a beautiful creation,
A worthy,
Wonderful beam of love.
You only forget this from time to time when the real you is marred with anxiety or stress.
Think of the stress like a black cloud sitting on your chest.
We must remove this cloud and replace it with your true essence.
So close your eyes now.
Take a nice deep breath in through your nose and open your mouth wide as you sigh it out your open mouth.
Feel how that one breath brings you back into yourself.
Do that a few more times,
Dropping deeper and deeper within with each exhale,
Letting your shoulders relax down your back.
Now bring your awareness to your chest.
Breathe through your heart space slowly and deeply.
Notice how your chest feels right now.
Does it feel heavy?
Restricted?
We're going to lighten the load your chest is carrying.
Imagine all of your stress from the day is sitting right here in a black cloud on top of your chest because energetically it is.
Instead of running from this stress,
Go straight into it.
Bring your awareness right into the center of this dark cloud.
Breathe deeply as you center yourself in this cloud.
It may be swirling like a tornado around your head or it may be sitting on your chest like a weight.
However it is showing up for you,
Just be here with it.
Thoughts may be coming up about things that stressed you out during the day,
That's okay.
Just let them come.
Let it all come up and be here at the center of this stress.
Noticing it all and yet grounded in yourself,
In your breath.
Letting it all come up.
Breathing deeply up and down the center line of your body as deep into your diaphragm as you can.
Feel how the stress releases its grip with each deep breath you take.
You are here with this stress,
Allowing it to be as it is.
Do not let your thoughts run away with you.
Keep yourself grounded in the center of your thoughts.
Let them swirl around you.
Let them come in and let them go.
Not pushing it away,
Feelings may arise.
Let them come.
Tears may come to your eyes.
Let them come.
Whatever is showing up for you as you breathe through this stress,
Let it come.
Just a few more moments now.
You're doing so well.
Feel how your chest feels lighter and less constricted with each deep breath.
Now take the deepest inhale you've taken all day and sigh it out your open mouth.
Now that you have seen and experienced all of the stress that was weighing you down,
You can start to release it with big cleansing breaths.
Breathe in through your nose.
Sigh it out your open mouth.
Continue to breathe in through your nose.
Sigh it out your mouth.
You might yawn.
That's great.
Just let it all come up.
Breathing into the black smoke and blowing it away from you.
In through your nose.
And out through your mouth.
Blow the smoke away.
Do this as many times as you need to.
Until you don't feel the smoke at all anymore.
Until your chest feels expansive and open.
Good.
Now you can let your breath come back to your natural rhythm and just sit for a moment experiencing the peace within you.
For when there is nothing blocking your true essence,
You can feel it.
This is your natural state of being.
Without the blockages that normal everyday stress place on your body,
You may start to feel a golden light filling your body.
Just let the light wash over you.
This is your natural state of well-being.
You can stay in this place of peace and light for as long as you like.
And when you are ready,
Slowly start to wiggle your fingers and toes,
Bringing your awareness back into the room.
And lastly,
Open your eyes.
