Welcome to this gratitude meditation.
I invite you to make this meditation practice a part of your morning routine to start your day off with intention and gratitude.
You will begin to notice a peace come over you after having a consistent self-care practice.
Let's begin by closing your eyes.
Now deeply inhale peace and exhale any stress you are holding onto in this moment.
Do this a few more times before we begin our meditation.
Now return to your normal breath as we start.
Let's begin with being grateful for this time that you have dedicated to make time for yourself and gratitude for everything in your life,
Big and small.
Imagine a ball of light starting at your feet.
Think of how strong your feet,
Toes,
And ankles have been as they have taken you on this journey of life you have been on.
Thank you feet.
We are grateful for your contribution and enriching our lives.
The ball of light slowly travels up your calves,
Knees,
And thighs as you appreciate each of them.
So grateful they have helped you for so many years.
The ball of light travels up your torso and gives energy to your hips and internal organs that keep your body functioning,
Healthy,
And alive at this time when so many are struggling.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Let's honor our chest,
Lungs,
And heart as the ball of light and love allow us to focus on the miracle of this part of our body working without us needing to do anything.
We are so grateful even though we constantly forget.
As the ball of light passes over our arms,
We are thankful for them.
Our fingers,
Our wrists,
Our hands.
That they have been there for us since birth and we so often take advantage of all they do for us whether we remember to acknowledge their contribution or not.
Coming up your throat,
The ball of light and energy grows to expand around your mouth,
Nose,
Eyes,
And beautiful brain.
There is so much to be grateful for as we say thank you.
Thank you for my ability to speak love into others lives,
To apologize when I've hurt another,
Ears to hear beautiful music in the voice of our loved ones,
A nose to smell all that this wondrous earth has to offer.
And finally let's pause in your brain.
The reason you are you,
The reason you are here.
Your thoughts,
Your feelings,
Your dialogue and rapport with others.
Your brain is what makes you you.
Take this time to appreciate and be grateful for your brain knowing to take care of you in terms of self care,
Meditating and finding ways to take care of the rest of your body so that you may continue to learn,
Grow and thrive.
Take another deep breath as your whole body lights up with love and appreciation.
When you are ready you may begin to open your eyes.
Throughout this day take time to notice and express gratitude for all that your body allows.
