Hello lovely humans.
Find a place that you can sit or lay either in a chair or on the floor on pillows,
Maybe pillows under your knees if you're laying.
A place that will support your body to just be in the next moments without any distraction.
And once you've found that place,
Just having a little wriggle of your shoulders,
Your neck,
Your head and then just finding stillness and taking a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
And I am going to guide you through a meditation and the theme or idea that I will be talking to is love and not loving others really but more the idea that we are love,
That our truest essence is love and we are all connected by this universal feeling and we all know what it's like to be loved and to love and to be loving.
But right now I want to try and tap into this idea of being love.
I am love and you are love and we are born in this way.
Every human comes to the earth in the same way and we begin of bundles of love.
So just letting those words find a space in your thoughts and just breathing.
And today I had this idea for a metaphor for meditation and so often we battle the thoughts that come to us when we sit in silence.
I know I do and I want you to think about a room,
A small room with a door and outside a hundred people want to come into the room to have a look and we can choose to fight and close the door and not let them in and then eventually they find their way in and they all come in at once and they rush and there's tension and there's anger and there's pushing because everybody wants to be in there at once and those people are like our thoughts.
If we fight them and stop them eventually they all rush in at once and it's too much and it gets confusing and it gets fearful but if we let the door open and they all walk in and have a look then eventually they all walk out and with our thoughts when we meditate we need to let them in and we gently let them have a look around our mind and then we gently let them leave and maybe they come back and that's okay too.
And the strategy or tool that I'm going to offer you for this meditation is a mantra and the mantra is Aham Prema,
Aham Prema and it means I am love,
Aham Prema,
Aham Prema,
I am love,
I am love.
So maybe instead of focusing on your breath you'd like to focus on those words and you just say them over and over in your head and it doesn't matter how fast or slow or how often you say them but it's another way to focus our mind away from the thoughts that often distract us from our truest form.
The thoughts will still come and then when they come you just let them in and then you come back to those words Aham Prema,
Aham Prema and it's just an offering you don't need to but it's an option.
So breathing in through your nose,
Out through your mouth,
In and out,
In and out,
In and out,
In and out.
Out through your mouth,
Do more like that in and out,
In and out.
And shutting down your eyes if you haven't already and just knowing that you will be here nowhere else for the next amount of time.
I will talk and then I will stop.
And all you need to do is breathe and use those words Aham Prema if you would like.
And this feeling of being love is extraordinary when we find it and it takes time and openness and vulnerability and trust and surrender.
But eventually when we continue to practice meditation or singing or dancing or whatever it is that helps you find your heart.
When we find this place of being love we realise how beautiful it is to be alive and we realise that every human being is a part of this.
And we realise that every human is made up of love and that every human is covered up by experiences and thoughts and judgements and that's okay because this life on earth is a twisting journey for everyone.
And there are moments when we feel that we are love and we feel radiant beams coming from our heart centre and we can't help but smile.
We can't help but be in awe of our bodies and the land and the people but there are moments as well of fear and loneliness and uncertainty.
And they too are perfectly okay.
But the more we dedicate ourselves to these practices the more we realise that we are not alone.
But the more we dedicate ourselves to these practices the more easily we are able to return to that place of love.
When we live from a place of love we don't need to worry about the future or regret the past because we know that this moment is so very beautiful and that all the people that work,
Walk this earth have that inside them.
That I am love and you are love.
I am Prima.
And I can say this because I didn't always believe it and I didn't always know it.
But now I believe it and now I know it.
I know that I am love and I know that you are love and I know that inside every human is this place of love.
And we were born to be love and we were born to be in love with this life.
To be in love with ourselves,
The people around us,
The experiences we are given,
To be totally in love with being alive because we are life and we are love and we don't always feel this way.
But the more and more we remind ourselves and the more and more we give ourselves time to slow down and find this blissful place inside our hearts.
The easier it is to come back to this place and from this place we live an even more beautiful and whole life.
Knowing that when we are in our purest most beautiful place we come from a place of love and we don't have to fear life.
Because what we need and what we want is inside.
It's inside ourselves and it's always there.
Just sometimes it's harder to find and that's perfectly okay because we are human.
Aham,
Prema,
I am love and you are love.
Taking a breath in together and out.
Bringing your hands to your heart center and bowing your forehead to your thumbs and bringing your thumbs to your heart.
And we bow knowing that we are love.
Namaste.
