Namaste friends.
Annette here to guide you on your meditation to connect you to your chakras.
In Ayurveda,
We believe that optimal health requires awakening the Kundalini,
Our serpent power within.
Kundalini is the higher evolutionary force hidden within us that has the ability to unfold our spiritual potential.
In its unawakened state,
A mere fraction of its energy serves to uphold our normal psychophysical functioning.
In its awakened state,
It reveals our capacity for cosmic consciousness,
Taking us beyond even what we could imagine.
These evolutionary potentials exist as latent energy centers in the subtle body.
The seven chakras which Kundalini activates.
Chakra refers to a wheel or a moving circle of energy.
The chakras are important in Ayurvedic healing,
Particularly relative to the prana and mind which works through them.
Ayurveda believes that in order to be healthy,
We must be healthy body,
Mind and spirit.
This practice is best completed in a seated position.
So sit back,
Get comfy and let's melt in to connect to our chakras and opening the mind to spirit.
Gently close the eyes.
Let's take a big inhale and now exhale.
Again,
Big inhale and exhale.
One more big inhale and now exhale fully and completely.
Now let's focus on the top of your head.
Let the scalp melt towards the floor.
Relax the eyebrows,
The nose,
The cheeks,
Ears,
Tongue,
Throat and shoulders.
Feel the breath comfortably moving in and out of the body.
Take this moment to be fully present.
Listen to the sounds in your environment.
Feel the temperature of the air on your skin.
Feel the body relaxing with each inhalation and each exhalation.
Now let's bring the hands together in Anjula Mudra or prayer hands.
Connect the thumbs to the sternum,
The chest bone and bow the head.
We will set an Ayurvedic sankalpa.
Sankalpa means will or motivation and is the main mental action for creating some scars.
Some scars are the deep seated conditionings behind the mind and the heart.
Repeat after me.
I am aware of and connected into the divine energy within me.
Again,
I am aware of and connected into the divine energy within me.
Once more,
I am aware of and connected into the divine energy within me.
Take another deep inhalation and let go.
Many float your hands down to your knees,
Palms facing down.
With eyes closed,
Gaze towards your third eye,
The spot between the eyebrows.
Now gently touch the tip of your tongue to the roof of your mouth and let's begin our chakra journey.
Muladhara,
Root chakra.
It's concern is basic needs and a sense of safety,
Security and well being.
When out of balance,
We can feel a sense of lack,
Anxiety,
Fearfulness and greed.
When balanced,
We feel secure,
Grounded and safe.
Let's bring your attention to the tip of your toe bone.
Gently contract the perineum,
The pelvic floor.
Try not to contract your glute muscles,
The buttocks.
The Muladhara element is earth.
The color is brilliant red.
A vision in your mind's eye,
The glow of red at the tip of the toe bone.
Feel the energy circulating in the perineum area.
Imagine you can smell a faint,
Earthy sweet scent of patchouli.
Repeat after me.
God provides for all my needs.
I have all I need.
Again,
God provides for all my needs.
I have all I need.
Once more,
God provides for all my needs.
I have all I need.
The Bija or root sound for Muladhara is LAM.
Repeat after me three times together.
LAM.
LAM.
LAM.
Now envision this red glowing light traveling up your spine and into the pelvic region,
Low back region.
This is the Svatasthana Chakra,
The navel chakra,
The seat of emotions,
Creativity,
Relationships and nourishment.
When out of balanced,
We can feel a low self-worth,
Over indulgence,
Codependency and feeling stuck.
When balanced,
We feel creative and nourished.
The element is water.
The color is luminous orange.
See the color orange radiating around in the pelvic region just below the navel.
Feel the vibrant,
Nourishing energy.
Imagine the smell of sandalwood drifting by.
The mantra is,
I am nourished and creative.
Again,
I am nourished and creative.
The Bija sound is VAM.
Let's say this together three times.
VAM.
VAM.
VAM.
Now envision this luminous orange traveling up the spine and just below the rib cage,
The thoracic area.
This is the Manipura Chakra,
The solar plexus.
This is the seat of personal power and self-discipline.
When out of balanced,
We feel manipulative and lack the ability to focus and move forward.
When in balance,
We move confidently into our Dharma.
The element is fire.
The color is beautiful golden yellow.
Feel the fire beneath the ribs all the way to the spine.
See and feel the incandescent yellow swirling in the upper belly region.
You can smell the sweet warm scent of cinnamon.
The Manipura mantra is,
God accepts me unconditionally and I am confident in everything I do.
Repeat after me.
God accepts me unconditionally and I am confident in everything I do.
Once more.
God accepts me unconditionally and I am confident in everything I do.
The Bija sound is ROM.
Let's repeat this together three times.
ROM.
ROM.
ROM.
Now watch as this yellow energy begins to travel up the spine and into the heart area.
The Anahata Chakra,
The heart chakra,
The seat of unconditional love and acceptance and seeing beauty in all things.
When out of balance,
We can feel ourselves becoming edgy and feeling unloved.
When balanced,
We feel loved unconditionally and as a result,
We are able to love unconditionally.
Located in the chest,
The element is air and the color is lush,
Vibrant green.
Feel the energy in your heart.
Notice this energy as it expands and fills the whole chest area.
Imagine you can smell the fresh fragrance of a rose.
The mantra is,
I am unconditionally loved.
Repeat after me.
I am unconditionally loved.
I love all beings.
Again,
I am unconditionally loved.
I love all beings.
Again,
I am unconditionally loved.
I love all beings.
The Bija sound is YAM.
Let's say this together three times.
YAM.
YAM.
YAM.
Slowly watch the green energy travel to your throat,
The Vishnu or throat chakra.
The ability to communicate sits here.
And when out of balance,
We are fearful to speak up.
When balanced,
We are confident in speaking our truth.
The element is ether.
The color is sapphire blue.
Feel and see the color radiating and growing in the throat area.
Breathe in the fragrance of eucalyptus in your mind's eye.
The mantra is,
I speak my truth.
Now repeat after me.
I speak my truth.
Again,
I speak my truth.
One more.
I speak my truth.
The Bija sound is HAM.
Chant it with me now.
HAM.
HAM.
HAM.
Now,
Imagine the sapphire blue energy traveling up just between your eyebrows,
Your third eye.
This is your Anjana chakra.
It is the seat of your intuition.
When out of balance,
We can be critical and judgmental.
When balanced,
The Anjana chakra pulls from our divine connection to God and gives us wisdom.
The element is space.
The color is amethyst purple.
Feel and see this color in your third eye.
Imagine and breathe in the sweet scent of lavender.
The Anjana chakra mantra is,
I trust my intuition.
Now repeat after me.
I trust my intuition.
I trust my intuition.
I trust my intuition.
The Bija sound is OM.
Let's chant it together three times.
OM.
OM.
OM.
Now,
Imagine that this beautiful amethyst purple energy is traveling up to the crown of your head.
The Sahasrara chakra,
The crown chakra,
Our divine connection to source,
The place where wisdom and guidance comes from.
When out of balance,
We feel lost and out of place.
When balanced,
We feel bliss,
A deep sense of peace and divine connection to God.
The element is consciousness space.
The color is white.
Feel the top of your head glowing with white energy connected to your divine source.
Take a breath in and imagine you smell the divine scent of frankincense.
The crown mantra is,
I am divinely connected at all times.
Now repeat after me.
I am divinely connected at all times.
I am divinely connected at all times.
I am divinely connected at all times.
The Bija sound is OM AUM,
Which also is a chakra clearing sound when pronounced correctly.
So we clear all the chakras when we pronounce this OM correctly.
Let's chant this divine sound together three times.
Take a deep inhalation.
OM AUM.
OM AUM.
OM AUM.
Now return your attention to the breath.
Notice the inhalation and the exhalation.
Notice the pause in between breaths.
Gently bring your hands to Adullamudra or prayer.
Connect your thumbs to your sternum and bow the head.
Take a moment to feel the energy in the body.
Returning to a moment of gratitude before we end our practice.
Let's return to the practice and kalpa that we set for the practice.
I am aware of and connected into the divine energy within me.
Again,
I am aware of and connected into the divine energy within me.
Again,
Last time,
I am aware of and connected into the divine energy within me.
Take a deep inhalation and let go.

Thanks for the calm and soothing guidance. The background noise in the beginning was distracting, but momentary. Would have liked to chant the vija sound of each chakra through the full exhalation (not only for Aum). π
