I am so delighted you have made it here with me,

Dr.

Anna Young-Ferris,

As I lead you through this beautiful Connect With Heart guided meditation.

Now let's get started.

Find yourself a comfortable seat.

You might like a cushion to support your back or a blanket if it is a little bit cooler.

Settling in,

Closing down the eyes and just fully relaxing.

There's nowhere to go,

Nowhere to be except right here,

Right now.

Being grateful to yourself for spending this small amount of time to look after yourself and your mental health and well-being.

Letting go of anything that was happening immediately before you started this meditation,

Anything that's happened today,

This evening,

Last week,

Last month.

Just letting go and being fully present right here,

Right now.

Also letting go of anything that it might be worrying you in the future.

There's nothing to do but completely relax.

Let's take some deep breaths in together.

Breathing in and out,

In and out,

Out,

In,

Fully relaxed and present.

And now let's move our awareness around our physical body.

Let's bring our awareness to our lips,

To our nostrils,

Gentle awareness to our ears,

To our eyes,

To the top of the head,

Gentle awareness to the whole head,

Awareness to our neck,

Top of the back,

Our lower back,

Gentle awareness to our belly,

Gentle awareness to our heart.

Just pause there for a moment at our heart space.

Maybe you can feel or see a soft glowing light emanating from that place.

Let's keep moving around to the top of the shoulders,

Gentle awareness to the top of the arms,

Gentle awareness to our hands,

Gentle awareness to the top of our legs,

To the bottom of our legs,

To our feet,

Gentle awareness to our whole body,

Our whole body,

Our whole body.

Now coming back to our heart space,

That physical place of our heart behind the sternum,

Almost in the center of our chest.

But not only is there a physical heart,

But there is also our spiritual heart,

The heart that we can connect with somewhat easily on a daily basis if we make this time for ourselves.

So feeling into that heart space,

That golden light,

That energy of love,

Compassion,

Peace,

The energy of our soul.

When we connect with the heart,

We are connecting with the divine.

We are connecting with our divine higher self,

And we can bring all of those beautiful qualities into our awareness,

Into our life,

Into our day,

Into our interactions with our colleagues and our family and our friends.

So keep your awareness there at that heart space.

It's always there.

Sometimes we get way too caught up in the head and the thinking,

The doing,

And the monkey mind,

And the dramas it likes to play out for us.

And we forget,

Or we don't know a way to access our expansive heart space.

And we don't know how to connect with this divine energy.

That is right there within us.

There's really nothing you need to do except feel that beautiful heart space energy radiating from your being,

An energy that connects us all together.

You may like to continue here for a few more moments.

Or maybe some longer moments.

Or if you are doing a shorter meditation today,

You might like to just really connect in one final time before taking some deep breaths.

Breathing in,

Breathing out,

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Holding on to that heart space energy.

Rubbing the palms of your hands together.

Keeping the eyes closed.

Building up some beautiful pranic energy.

And gently cupping your eyes with your palms of your hands.

And when you're ready,

Very slowly opening up the eyes,

Coming back into the room,

Into the world,

And feeling that sense of heart energy radiating through your physical body.

And your mental body.

And taking that with you as you go on in your day or your evening.
