On that last exhale,
I want you to let go of all the heaviness tied to your eating habits.
Exhale and let every heavy emotion go.
I want to invite you to share this journey with me where we'll travel through your memories that planted the seeds,
That created the heaviness you might be feeling daily.
If you think about the first time that you felt self-conscious about your weight or your eating habits,
What did that moment feel like?
Who was the person who caused you to feel that way?
Maybe it was a friend or a family member that made a negative comment about how you look or what you eat.
Maybe it was just a simple look that someone gave you that made you feel less than.
I want you to travel back to that moment and on the next breath,
Inhale and exhale.
You're in that moment.
Keep really in touch with your emotions and be honest with yourself.
What are you feeling in this moment?
Don't think about anything else but that moment.
Be present and allow yourself to be in touch with the feelings that were rushing through your mind,
Your body at that exact instant.
Inhale and exhale.
What beliefs were born in that moment?
What beliefs shaped your habits around eating and body image?
Be present in that moment and remember what kind of language was used for those beliefs to be born within you.
Let yourself hear the language that was used and be in touch with how it made you feel.
Now,
I want you to start to go through life moments,
Life experiences after that incident happened and realize how those words have had an impact on how you think,
Feel and act when it comes to your eating habits and feel with your emotions.
Take a minute to realize how that moment has had an impact on how you associate your emotions with various eating habits.
As you realize all that,
This one moment has impacted in your life.
Show yourself compassion,
Kindness and empathy.
Take a moment to realize that these beliefs did not stem from you.
These beliefs about eating habits when you're feeling different emotions or just thoughts,
Judgmental moments that belong to other people.
These thoughts were never your own.
Take a second to realize that you don't need to judge yourself for the thoughts you are having or the actions you may have taken that reinforce the beliefs others have put onto you.
This is a moment for you to take and realize that it's in your power.
Transform these thoughts and beliefs into seeds that will build you up instead of breaking you down.
It is within your power to believe whatever you want and get rid of beliefs and thoughts that were forced upon you.
Show yourself grace,
Empathy,
Understanding and courage.
Beliefs and habits aren't forever.
They can change if your mind accepts them as the truth.
So ask yourself,
Are all the negative beliefs and habits you may have around food,
Are they truly serving you?
Remind yourself that you can let go of such beliefs and build new ones,
Build healthier ones.
Ask yourself,
How do you want to feel around food when you feel different emotions?
How do you want to cope with those emotions that aren't pleasant or aren't easy to deal with?
What do you believe healthy coping mechanisms will bring to your life?
Ask yourself,
How can you start experiencing coping mechanisms that won't include emotional eating so that you can experience all the beautiful feelings and experiences that life has to offer?
It is within your power to choose your beliefs,
Thoughts and actions.
Forgive yourself for the past beliefs that were not even yours,
All the actions you may have taken to strengthen those beliefs.
Give grace and forgiveness to those who have put those beliefs on you.
Holding resentment will only keep you from making progress.
Now,
With this new self-awareness,
Have the control to change your beliefs around coping with your emotions and food.
You realize that there are much more uplifting ways to deal with your feelings without resorting to food.
You have this power,
It is yours.
Once you heal those beliefs,
It's like a domino effect,
Where you are empowered to make better decisions in all aspects of your life.
You're worthy of this power,
It belongs to you.
Now,
Inhale that newfound power and exhale any negative beliefs that have led you towards emotional eating.

Repeat after me and affirm to yourself,
I am empowered,
I am enough.

Exhale any uncertainty,
Any fear you may have and before you get to the end,
I want you to see this through yourself.
I am worthy of healthy coping mechanisms.
The health of my mind,
Body and soul is within my control.
I am open for all the mental,
Physical and emotional progress that is about to come my way.
