Hello and welcome to your intuitive book reading.

I am Anna and I will be your guide.

Please allow yourself to get comfortable in your space,

Whatever that means to you.

If you'd like to light a candle or dim the lights,

Maybe play some soft music.

If you're able to close the door,

Keeping out any distractions.

If not,

That's okay.

But feel free to pause the meditation if you need.

Doing anything that allows you to feel present and focused and receive what is to come through for you today.

I like to start off each reading with a meditation.

So please feel free to get comfortable if you're sitting down or lying down.

If that's safe and accessible to you,

Maybe closing your eyes and start to bring your attention to your breath.

Maybe breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.

Allowing yourself to notice this process that happens automatically all day every day.

And also noticing if there is a desire to try to change or control your breath as soon as you bring your attention to it.

See if you can allow yourself to let go of that desire and just allow your breath to be what it is.

Trusting your body knows how to breathe and that your breath knows exactly which places in your body need it the most.

Maybe drawing your attention to the sensations of the body,

Whether you most strongly resonate with a sound in your environment,

A smell in the room.

Maybe it's the temperature of the air on your skin or the feeling of the surface below you.

Whatever's coming through,

Allow yourself to sit with that sensation for just a moment.

And for each practice,

I will invite you to set an intention to receive what it is you need most today.

Maybe there's something specific you're wanting to call in or a question you'd like to know the answer to.

Whatever that intention or question is,

I invite you to share that either with yourself or out loud now.

And in these last few moments of breath,

Allow yourself to inviting gratitude,

Gratitude to yourself for showing up in your practice,

For doing something new,

For trusting,

Gratitude for others who have supported you and guided you and will continue to do so.

For those you have yet to meet who will touch your life and gratitude for the books we'll share today for the authors who shared their story.

And for all those who share what is most on their heart and trust that it will serve someone else as well,

Allowing ourselves to be one of those people being served today.

You can take one final breath and feel free to keep your eyes closed if they already were for the remainder of this practice,

Or you can blink them open,

Whatever feels best for each reading.

I choose a set number of books.

Today I've chosen three and these books were intuitively chosen,

Knowing that they contain some message that we most need to hear today.

And the practice involves allowing each one of these books to fall open to a random page and wherever my eyes land is where I'll read.

Until I feel called to stop and I'll leave space after each reading for us to sit and reflect on what's coming through any thoughts or feelings to determine whether the passage resonates and to let it be okay if it doesn't.

And at the end of each of the readings,

At the end of all three readings,

I will share any reflections that are coming through for me,

Anything I'm feeling called to impart,

To share any common themes or threads from all three of the books.

And I invite you to share with me anything that comes up for you in this practice as well,

Letting it be simply what it is and trusting that what you'll hear is exactly what you most need to hear,

Whether you know it or not.

And with that,

I'll begin with the first reading today coming from the law of divine compensation on work,

Money,

And miracles.

By Marianne Williamson as a reflection of the mind of God,

The universe intends that you self actualize.

And sometimes that means not getting what you want in order to realize that you're fine without it,

Which counterintuitively then paves the way for you to attract that or something better.

The universe was invested not in Judy's cafe,

But in Judy's enlightenment.

Self-actualization involves detachment,

Not uplifting.

Detachment,

Not attachment to form.

It acknowledges that form is limited,

But spirit is not.

And that is why we let go.

We release our attachment to form so that universal substance can rearrange it.

We pray,

Dear God,

I surrender.

I've tried to control this situation.

I've worked as hard as I can and now everything has fallen apart.

All I have left is to pray for a miracle.

Please guide my thinking to a higher place.

Amen.

Spiritually,

That's not the end,

But the beginning.

And I'll leave a moment here for you to sit and reflect on whatever's coming through.

The second reading today comes from Conscious Living,

Finding Joy in the Real World by Gay Hendricks.

If you express what needs to be expressed within you,

You will be happy and fulfilled.

If you don't,

You won't.

It's just that simple,

But many of us spend our lives making it more complicated.

We go to great lengths to tune out what needs to be expressed.

We tune out through liquor,

Gossip and drugs,

Or we stare hypnotized at the flickering television images.

Sometimes what we must express are secrets.

We often seal off the shameful and painful moments of life.

Cut off from the fresh air of consciousness,

These concealed pockets of pain fester until they are brought to the light.

I have seen miracles occur in the lives of hundreds of people after they shared a guilty secret.

More dramatically,

I have watched with awe as life-threatening diseases left people's bodies after bringing forth an age-old secret.

Some years ago,

I was asked to do several sessions of therapy with a man who was bound for prison.

His attorney was also a client of mine,

And he asked me as a favor to work with a man to help him prepare him for the shock of losing his freedom in his mid forties.

Although he had steadfastly proclaimed his innocence,

A jury had convicted him of the crime.

To my great surprise,

The client confessed after two sessions that he had actually committed the crime.

It was as if life itself was entering his body as he came out from behind the cloud of deception he had been living in for a year.

He still went to prison,

But it became a transformational experience for him.

His prison sentence became a time of spiritual growth during which he organized literacy programs for other inmates and carried out other acts of service.

Sometimes the secret is a withheld potential.

You are a poet,

I said once to a midlife therapy patient,

As she had shared with me a heartfelt and beautifully written section of her journal.

This offhand comment set her in motion,

Writing poetry,

Something she had not done since junior high school.

Over the next few months,

I watched in awe as torrents of poetry poured out of her.

This new self image changed her life.

It was as if part of her had been asleep since adolescence,

Waiting to be breathed into life by the right circumstances.

Now,

As she came into full wakefulness,

Her confidence grew as a poet and a person.

Next thing I knew,

She had published several poems and published a book.

And this from a person who had once been so afraid of public contact that she wouldn't even hold a garage sale.

The fifth lesson teaches us that peace of mind comes only with full participation in life.

This means being open to the full range of ourselves from the quiet background throb of our hidden feelings to the cascading torrents of creativity waiting to be brought forth.

And again,

I'll leave some space here for you to reflect in the last few minutes.

And the last reading today will come from the power of now a guide to spiritual enlightenment by Eckhart Tolle.

Give up the relationship with yourself.

When one is fully conscious,

Would one still have a need for a relationship?

Would a man still feel drawn to a woman?

Would a woman still feel incomplete without a man enlightened or not?

You are either a man or a woman.

So on the level of your form identity,

You are not complete.

You are one half of the whole.

This incompleteness is felt as male,

Female attraction,

The pull toward the opposite energy polarity,

No matter how conscious you are.

But in that state of interconnectedness,

You feel this pull somewhere on the surface or periphery of your life.

Anything that happens to you in that state feels somewhat like that.

The whole world seems like waves or ripples on the surface of a vast and deep ocean.

You are that ocean.

And of course you are also a ripple,

But a ripple that has realized its true identity as the ocean and compared to that vastness and depth,

The world of waves and ripples is not all that important.

This does not mean that you don't relate deeply to other people or to your partner.

In fact,

You can relate deeply only if you are conscious of being coming from being,

You are able to focus beyond the veil of form.

In being male and female are one.

Your form may continue to have certain needs,

But being has none.

It is already complete and whole.

If those needs are met,

That is beautiful,

But whether or not they are met makes no difference to your deep inner state.

So it is perfectly possible for an enlightened person.

If the need for the male or female polarity is not met,

To feel a sense of lack or lack of being.

If the need for the male or female polarity is not met,

To feel a sense of lack or incompleteness on the outer level of his or her being yet at the same time,

Be totally complete,

Fulfilled and at peace with them.

And once more,

I will leave a moment of space here for you to see what's coming through.

I feel called to share a few reflections and themes that have emerged for me,

And the messages that are coming through.

One most strongly,

From that last reading around that idea of gender,

About man and woman completing one another.

And I know this can be difficult and there can be a lot of resistance or untruth to that for many people that they may not identify with that construct.

And what I felt from it was more of a deeper metaphor of two halves of a whole of looking outside of yourself to be completed.

And this idea of duality,

That things are black and white,

That there's only two halves to a whole.

And rather there are so many nuances,

So many areas of gray and the majority of the things we need to feel complete are within ourselves.

That we don't always need that quote unquote other half.

And that oftentimes it may not even look like what we're searching for.

That we may have an idea that we are desperately in need of something specific to feel okay,

To feel whole,

To feel successful,

To feel loved.

But going back to the first reading,

That idea that sometimes no is also an answer to a prayer.

That if we're desperately seeking and searching and not getting something,

That may be the key to our quest.

That often the thing we feel we need the most is not what we need to feel okay,

To feel worthy,

To feel loved.

And so where may that be showing up in your life?

Where may you feel helpless or feel isolated or feel as though your prayers are not being answered?

Maybe there's something that you've continually asked for that you're not receiving and you feel as if you can't possibly move forward without it.

And trusting that not receiving that thing is the best possible option for you.

And from the second reading,

Knowing that time has so much to do with the story of our lives,

That we're often rushing to get to a certain place or frustrated that we can't make something work,

Or we haven't experienced the love and success that we know that we deserve.

And sometimes it's just not the right time,

Whether it requires you to have an experience or to heal something or to meet a specific person or be in a certain place at a certain time.

What if we were to trust that there was more of a plan that maybe it wasn't that of course everything is already laid out and we know exactly what's going to happen at any given time,

But more so you're where you need to be to learn the lesson that you need to learn to move forward.

The thing you're asking for that you're seeking,

It may not be that you don't ever get it,

But that you're not meant to receive it quite yet because you need to believe in yourself and the wholeness of who you are in this moment,

That you don't need any other person or anything outside of yourself to feel complete.

And when you can get to that feeling of embodiment of wholeness,

Maybe then the answer will change.

Maybe then the thing you're seeking will show up.

Maybe then it will be the time and maybe not.

And that's okay too.

But letting go of the gripping and the seeking and the desperation,

What if you were to believe that whatever it is you need to be okay will inevitably find you,

You can't miss it.

No matter how many times you may feel like the opportunity has passed you by,

It will come back around again.

And so what are you going to do with the time you have until that opportunity arises?

What work do you need to do to become the person who is ready to say yes the next time it shows up?

And how are you going to believe that you are already two halves of a whole,

A complete whole version of your greatest self?

I hope these readings and the reflection may have resonated for you today.

I hope you received something that you feel you needed,

Or this has pointed you in a new direction of exploration and curiosity,

New questions to ask,

To seek guidance within yourself.

And just know that whether or not this resonated today,

That's okay.

I often find that sometimes they don't hit immediately,

But I'll be having a conversation with somebody in a week from now,

Or something happens in my life next month that I'll remember this passage,

And all of a sudden a puzzle piece will click into place.

And on the other side,

I find that sometimes these messages aren't just meant for me,

That I was meant to be a messenger.

And maybe in a conversation with someone you feel called to share a piece of the passage,

And you can see their eyes light up,

And you can see their puzzle piece click into place,

And trust that you were in the right place at the right time to receive this message and pass it on.

So trusting in the process,

Trusting that there is guidance all around us,

That you can find support and answers and messages if you just open yourself to receive.

And I thank you so much for sharing this time and this practice with me.

I welcome your reflections on the whole practice itself,

On any of the individual messages,

Or on my reflections shared afterwards.

I would love to know what's come up for you,

If this has created any meaning or given you direction,

Or if it's something that you're interested in experiencing more of.

I hope to share more with you in the future.

So again,

My name is Anna.

This was your intuitive book reading for today.

And I thank you so much for sharing this time with me.

I hope you take the best possible care of yourself,

And I will see you next time.
