Visualisation for time management.
As you are lying down,
Getting comfortable,
I want you to imagine that the support of the floor is rising up to meet the weight of your body.
Let yourself soften and let your weight go.
Follow the rising and falling of your breath and let every exhale be an opportunity to relax a little more.
There is a deepening and a widening.
The skin of your face is soft.
You let all the tension go.
Your chest is soft.
Your belly is soft.
I want you now to think about a time when you have felt rushed,
Perhaps stressed and limited by time.
A time when you felt that you had a lot to do and not enough time to get it done.
Perhaps you were arriving late or you had a fear of not showing up on time,
A fear of not getting it all done.
You will instinctively know the right instance to bring to mind.
So don't overthink it,
Just notice what pops into your head or the feeling that comes into your body.
As you focus on that event,
That situation where time or rather a lack of it was important to you,
I want you to really zone in on your body's responses to that moment.
Notice what that tension does to your body as you have that thought about being late or not having enough time.
Observe where the stress resides within you.
Perhaps there is a sense of colour,
Maybe a darkness,
Maybe there's a flickering or a weight to the sensation within your body.
Perhaps it's a rising in your chest or a feeling in your throat.
Imagine briefly where you feel this sense of tension in regards to time.
And now I want you to imagine that that tension is lifting from you.
Imagine that with every breath you take,
Every breath you breathe in and every breath you breathe out,
You are expelling a cloud of rushing,
A cloud of limited time that is outside of your body and no longer part of you.
Breathe in and breathe out until all the tension has left.
Breathe in and breathe out and all that sense of rushing has gone.
Notice how good it feels to be this at ease.
Notice what happens in your body.
You're not at rest,
You are still wakeful but you are able to do whatever you choose with calm and relaxation.
Not slowly but surely and with ease.
How does that ease feel to you?
With this relaxed state of ease,
I want you to watch in your mind's eye yourself running through some simple tasks with care and attention,
With a relaxed attitude and at ease.
Feel as you watch yourself.
And now I want you to notice how good it feels to have this relaxation and ease.
Feel how good this attitude of having all the time in the world feels inside you.
Notice how it changes your energy,
Your focus,
Your priorities.
Take a moment or two now while my voice goes silent to run through some scenarios of yourself doing activities where you used to feel rushed and tense with a new knowledge of this ease and freedom that you contain within your body.
And when you are ready,
Bringing with you this feeling of ease and relaxation into your everyday tasks,
Aware that you can tap into this feeling whenever you choose,
That you can change your sense of time whenever you like.
Open your eyes and wide awake.
