Let's take some time to relax and think about beauty.
This is the first in a series of three.
About beauty,
Power and wisdom.
You can either sit or lie down in this meditation and I will gently strike my singing bowl at the completion.
It's helpful to have at least five minutes undisturbed afterwards for some contemplation time.
Any busyness or thoughts flowing through your mind can be set aside now.
Let's take them one at a time and park them just outside the door.
You can collect them later or abandon them,
Whichever suits you best.
We'll choose three things on your mind.
If you don't have three,
Then just wait for me.
Take the first thought that's in your mind.
Hold it out in front of you.
Now tie a bow around it and move it out the door.
Bye bye.
Second thought now.
Anything else that's on your mind,
Draw it out and put it into your hand.
Tie a bow around it and park it just outside the door.
Off you go.
And now the third thought or any other thoughts that are rolling around your head.
See if you can place them all into your hand.
And one more bow around them.
And then park them outside the door.
Now we've decluttered,
Let's add some delicious oxygen to clean the mind and the body.
Deep breath in.
And breathe out again.
Little smile makes you always feel better.
Now the deep breath in.
And breathe out again.
One more breath.
Breathe in.
And breathe out again.
Ah,
That's much better.
You can relax more fully now,
Breathing slow and deep until you don't need to think about it anymore.
Drop your chin just a little to make your neck long like a swan.
And wriggle out any body parts that need a little encouragement to relax.
And that's it.
This meditation is about giving you food for thought.
Let the words in and let them stew for a while.
If you find you want to rebel against them,
Just notice when there's resistance and then visualize the resistance drifting away off your body like steam off the top of a cup of tea.
If you feel you haven't absorbed it all completely,
You can always bookmark it and listen again tomorrow.
Your body is an amazing thing.
Let's stop and have a real good think about it.
On a physical level,
It can breathe without you thinking about it.
The heart beats on its own.
The cells know how to rejuvenate.
Put your hand on your heart and feel that wonderful heartbeat.
You have a digestive system as well running through the center that collects nutrition from what you put in the top end and expels what you don't need at the bottom end.
How very clever.
Relax your hand down beside you now.
You have senses for touch and taste,
Smell,
Sight and hearing you can use to bring you delight and they can also be used to alert you when you need to feel safe.
And right now,
You can feel grateful for all of that thank you body.
You have an electrical system which runs through your body.
It creates more than enough electricity to power your house.
Feel the spark of life flowing up and down the insides of your arms and legs.
Feel it flowing around your brain and up and down your spine.
It's magic.
You have a magnetic system which can keep you healthy especially when you connect with the magnetic system of the earth of which you are a part.
Imagine next time you're standing the soles of your feet being the negative charge connecting to the positive charged surface of the earth.
You have a nervous system which can keep you fine-tuned.
You have a mental neurological system in both the head and the heart.
And you have a powerful emotional system which attracts in experiences that match your dominant emotion.
How very clever.
Thank you body.
On the next level of senses,
When you are calm and focused,
You can tune to your psychic abilities,
Clairvoyance,
Clairsentience,
Clairaudience,
Claircognizance and the like.
These can bring you a deeper level of understanding of the world around you,
Of the people you are dealing with and the options ahead of you.
Whether or not you use them regularly,
They're there for you to tap into.
We all have them.
How lucky we are.
And on a spiritual level,
Beyond all the thoughts that fill your everyday life,
Is a higher version of yourself,
Which is keen to experience the material world and to feel the ups and downs of living here.
The spiritual level is joined to all others experiencing this world,
For in truth there is no separation.
We are all different pairs of eyes from the same consciousness,
Looking at the world from different angles.
How lucky you are to be a part of that experience,
Particularly in this moment in time,
As we move from the old systems of 3D up into a new epoch of time.
This is the graduation moment,
Where within just a few years,
Life will be so much better than it has been for many thousands of years.
More to be grateful for.
All these different levels of a body,
From physical to electrical,
Magnetic,
Psychic,
Mental,
Emotional and spiritual,
Make up the perfection of who you are.
Just as you have levels of physicality,
You also have levels of beauty.
In simplistic terms we can talk about outer beauty and what you've been taught is the ideal in terms of shape,
Size,
Symmetry,
Proportions or levels of health.
And we can talk about inner beauty as that sort of other beauty,
What kind of person you are.
Your levels of generosity,
Kindness,
Empathy,
Strength,
Humour and happiness.
And that's just recognising two levels.
Yet just as the body has many levels of physicality,
You also have many levels of beauty.
Breathe in deep now.
Add a little smile.
Breathe it out.
And relax.
You may have heard the saying,
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
There is beauty you see in yourself and there is beauty that others see in you.
These viewpoints don't always match and the view of others looking at you don't always match either.
So then beauty becomes a matter of perception,
Just an opinion and one may be worth very little more than the next.
Earlier I said that your emotional system can attract in experiences that match your dominant emotion.
So how you feel about yourself can strongly influence what other people feel about you.
When you feel unattractive,
That's more often mirrored back in the eye of others.
When you feel beautiful,
You'll more often see that mirrored back at you.
As a personal example,
When I was young and confident,
People used to look at me as beautiful.
And as I progressed through a difficult marriage and saw less and less beauty in myself,
No one gave me a second look.
I was often overlooked altogether.
And then,
As the years passed after my divorce,
I actively started searching for my levels of beauty again.
And I noticed people looking at me differently and wanting to spend time with me.
Was it the same me all those years?
Of course.
The thing that changed was my view of myself.
Do you see?
This is not an arrogant beauty.
Anyone who looks down on another as less beautiful than themselves is still insecure.
And has lost touch with their inner beauty.
And what you can aim for here is a beauty that is appreciative of itself and has more than enough love to share with others.
Take a deep breath in.
And sigh it out.
Little smile.
That's it.
So let's find your beauty.
What levels of beauty do you want to find?
If you're focused on skin-deep beauty,
Wanting to poke and prod and cut new beauty into your physical self,
Then you attract both men and women who are focused on skin-deep beauty as well.
If you tend to criticize your physical self,
You tend to attract others who criticize your physical self.
If you poke and prod the face and body too much trying to make it perfect,
You lose what is unique about you.
What makes you special is what is naturally unique.
And when you look at feature film animations these days,
You'll see that the artists are encouraged to add quirky things to the characters.
A mouth that's not symmetrical.
One eye that's a bit lazy.
Hair that misbehaves.
A silly laugh.
Or something a bit different about the way the character walks and moves.
If the characters didn't have these things,
The audience would not remember them.
Can you think of something that's unique about you right now?
This is what makes you memorable.
This is your perfection.
When you love and accept what is unique about you,
Others will see your quirky bits as your signature.
It's what makes you stand out compared to the rest.
And they are more likely to remember you.
Time for an exercise and some affirmations.
Add that little smile.
Now make a really big smile.
A smile makes you beautiful.
A smiling,
Happy face,
Particularly one that easily bursts out in laughter,
Is one that pumps up all the right muscles and becomes more attractive.
People always rave about fabulous cheekbones,
But in fact,
We all have a very similar skull underneath that's actually these muscles of smiling that makes those great cheekbones.
If your hands are free and you feel comfortable to do so,
Take your fingertips and lightly run them over your forehead from the center up and over,
Following the shape of your eyebrows,
Out and down to the temples.
Then lift them up,
Back to the center and keep going over and over.
Let the heat from the palms warm your eyes and say this with me,
Beautiful,
Beautiful,
Beautiful.
Now lightly press your eyelids with your fingertips and sweep back towards your temples again.
Again say beautiful,
Beautiful,
Beautiful and smile.
Now make tiny circles on your lips with your fingertips and then stop and give your fingers a soft kiss.
You can kiss each time.
You say in your head,
Beautiful,
Beautiful,
Beautiful.
And sweep your hands up under your cheekbones as if smoothing away the old energy a few times.
Say beautiful,
Beautiful,
Beautiful.
Now curl your fingers like claws and gently run them over your scalp and through your hair.
Mmm,
That feels nice.
Run your thumbs down the back of your ears and keep moving wherever your scalp wants some attention.
Say beautiful,
Beautiful,
Beautiful.
Now turn your fingers in towards the center now.
Let your hands take turns at stroking down your throat.
Lift your chin.
Say beautiful,
Beautiful,
Beautiful.
You can stretch any body part as we go along if you feel there is any tightness to release.
Cross your hands across your chest and reach for your beautiful shoulders and gently rub them in little circles.
Say beautiful,
Beautiful,
Beautiful.
You are gorgeous.
Say these words.
I am lovable.
I am beautiful.
Stroke down your arms a few times and now one hand stroking circles over the back of the other hand,
Say my hands are beautiful to hold.
They are precious.
They can express love in so many ways.
Give a little smile.
Say beautiful,
Beautiful,
Beautiful.
Give the other hand a rub and feel the love for that hand too.
Now take your fingers back up to the base of your throat and lightly stroke outwards along the sternum.
Say beautiful,
Beautiful,
Beautiful.
And if you are comfortable to do so now,
With one hand stroke the infinity sign over both sides of your chest or breasts.
This is like a sideways figure eight,
Round one side,
Round the other side.
Say beautiful,
Beautiful,
Beautiful.
You are doing great.
Now with both hands start in the centre of your chest and draw a great big heart shape that curves around your chest or breasts,
Draws back to the centre and heads down your belly towards your legs.
Then lift your hands again and start up by your chest.
Off you go again.
Round the chest,
Back to the centre and down the centre.
Carry on.
Say I love your body,
Beautiful,
Beautiful,
Beautiful.
Nod your head.
Give a little smile.
This is so nurturing to look after yourself.
Say I am valuable.
I am worthy of love,
Beautiful.
With both hands now start between your thighs and let them circle up and out,
Then down the outsides of your thighs and back to where you started.
Nice round oval shape.
Say beautiful,
Beautiful,
Beautiful.
Any resistance just let it float away like steam,
Beautiful.
And from the same starting point lightly draw your hands out over your hips and up to the back of your waist.
Then draw them together around the front and back down to where you started.
Round the hips,
Up the back,
Round to the centre of the front and down to the starting point.
Keep it going.
This pelvis is taken for granted so often yet it can carry you with grace.
It can move to music.
It's a very special part of your body.
Say beautiful,
Beautiful,
Beautiful.
Feel free now to lightly brush over any parts of your body that makes you feel good.
You can continue this exercise however you please after the recording.
It's a lovely gentle affirmation especially if you're about to go to sleep.
And say the words and feel the love and then sleep so you hold the vibration of self-love throughout the night.
You'll find your wake feeling really good as you get into the habit of loving yourself.
You'll start to see evidence of people treating you differently.
Breathe in and sigh it out.
Lovely.
One more part to this session.
I want to tell you a story.
You can keep moving as I taught you.
Once I knew a beautiful woman when I was in my 20s.
She was about my age and she was beautiful both inside and out.
A dancer with the sweetest personality and we used to dance together in a company.
She got married to a man who took her back to his homeland in South America and we lost track of each other.
I heard this had been a difficult time for her with limited communication with her English speaking friends.
By the time she moved home again I'd moved to another country.
When I was in my early 40s I heard she'd been diagnosed with terminal cancer.
I'd been given her cell phone number and was told she was already in hospice.
That I could send her text messages and the nurse would read them for her.
So I felt it might bring her some relief to take her mind off her situation.
And I began sending her messages of scenes filled with sensory descriptions.
I saw her swinging on a swing with very very long ropes hanging from an enormous tree.
Her sundress fluttering against her legs.
One of her little children giggling with glee on her lap.
The fresh spring leaves above her and the smell of green grass below.
And the wind picking up as she accelerated into the arch of the curve and then burst out into the sunshine beyond the canopy of the tree.
In another scene was running through a field of yellow flowers with her children.
And I described the smells,
The sounds and then falling down in a heap with them and rolling down the hill together.
Another scene was a trip to the ocean with the waves gurgling around her body and the ocean spray and the seagulls overhead.
I only got one message of thanks back from a nurse but I kept sending messages with all my love.
And one day I received the message that she had passed away the hour before.
So I went into my room and sat on the bed and fell very quickly into a meditative state.
I was thinking of her.
And suddenly I could see behind me,
Like you can when you're meditating,
Something like part of an enormous face.
I realized my tiny body was just in front of the bridge of a nose that spanned as far as my mind's eye could see in both directions.
Enormous.
And beyond my peripheral vision,
Past the horizon,
Were the eyes and the forehead above and the cheeks and mouth were below that were not in sight.
A truly enormous face with me just a tiny speck in front of it.
And the face was looking at me with such gentleness.
It was her.
I said in my mind,
It's Elianne?
And then the most rapturous hug wrapped around me like the softest blanket and it filled my body with aesthetic tingles for a few delicious seconds before it was gone.
It was her thanking me for my messages.
And it really got me thinking.
You are so much more than you think you are.
So much more magnificent and beautiful than you can possibly imagine.
So this little body you've got to represent you on the planet is just a tiny speck in comparison and truly there is no need to give it such a hard time for not being what you want it to be.
This is your vessel.
It's what you've got to show your love,
To speak your mind and to express your creativity,
To contribute,
To make peace in your neighborhood,
To find common ground with others,
To demonstrate to them how to love your planet.
Come on,
Treat your body with great care.
Love yourself for you are a sovereign being here on earth.
You are so very,
Very precious and so very beautiful.
So this brings our session to a close.
Keep smiling.
Love yourself.
And thank you for your contribution.

This was such a nourishing and affirming practice. The physicality of the meditation increased the richness of the affirmations and allowed them to truly be absorbed in a way, to date, words had not for me. Thank you for sharing your time, your energy, and the beautiful way you experience life during this meditation! I look forward to coming back to this session every time I am in need of self-love and self-care.

Beautiful amazing. I cried. I love it. It was perfect. I could do without the bell at the end however, if that helps, but that is just my personal preference. I also visualized myself doing the hugging and patting instead of actually doing with my hands, and I was in a very relaxed meditative state. Your voice is great for meditation.
