Namaste and welcome.

Come into a comfortable seated position.

You can sit on the floor with the support of a cushion or in a chair with your feet fully on the ground.

Breathe deeply.

Lengthen your spine.

Relax your shoulders.

Soften your belly and feel at ease.

Relax your body as you gently breathe in and gently breathe out.

Bring your hands together in front of your heart in Anjali Mudra.

Feel the warmth of one hand to the other.

We will open with the sound of Aum.

Exhale and then take a deep breath in.

Release your hands.

Today we will practice three different Ganesha mantras that will help remove obstacles to our abundance,

Our spiritual and our material abundance.

These mantras will bring internal unity,

Peace and harmony.

A mantra is a tool for the mind.

Japa or Jap means to repeat.

Mantra Japa is a repeated sound practice.

We repeat these ancient Sanskrit words for well-being and to reduce suffering with specific intentions in mind.

Sanskrit is connected to our energetic body.

It is an ancient language from India.

It connects to the Kundalini energy at the base of the spine,

The chakras,

The energy wheels that rise up through the body and the nadis or the energy pathways.

With each repetition of sound,

We raise our energy,

We increase our vitality and strength and the peace of mind both within our body and around us.

The first mantra is Aum Lakshmi Ganapataye Namaha.

Aum Lakshmi Ganapataye Namaha.

It means Aum and salutations to Lakshmi and Ganesha,

The combined energies to remove obstacles to abundance in all forms.

So we'll do a very slow call and response.

Aum Lakshmi Ganapataye Namaha.

And the practice.

Aum Lakshmi Ganapataye Namaha.

Aum Lakshmi Ganapataye Namaha.

So now we will do nine repetitions together.

Aum Lakshmi Ganapataye Namaha.

Inhale.

Aum Lakshmi Ganapataye Namaha.

Aum Lakshmi Ganapataye Namaha.

Aum Lakshmi Ganapataye Namaha.

Aum Lakshmi Ganapataye Namaha.

Aum Lakshmi Ganapataye Namaha.

Aum Lakshmi Ganapataye Namaha.

Aum Lakshmi Ganapataye Namaha.

Aum Lakshmi Ganapataye Namaha.

Aum Lakshmi Ganapataye Namaha.

Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.

And feel the energies of that mantra resonating within the body.

The second mantra is Aum Shreem Gam Ganapataye Namaha.

Aum Shreem Gam Ganapataye Namaha.

Call and response.

Aum Shreem Gam Ganapataye Namaha.

And practice.

Aum Shreem Gam Ganapataye Namaha.

Aum Shreem Gam Ganapataye Namaha.

Good.

This mantra means Aum in salutations to Ganesha,

The remover of obstacles,

With the added seed sounds of Shreem or Lakshmi and Gam for Ganesha.

So nine times together now.

Take a deep breath in.

Aum Shreem Gam Ganapataye Namaha.

Aum Shreem Gam Ganapataye Namaha.

Aum.

Take a deep breath in.

And exhale.

And notice the resonance of those sounds within the body.

The third of this set is the mantra Aum Gam Shreem Mahalakshmiye Namaha.

Aum Gam Shreem Mahalakshmiye Namaha.

Aum in salutations to the great Lakshmi,

The goddess of abundance,

With the added seed sounds of Gam for Ganesha and Shreem for Lakshmi to remove our difficulties in all the problems in the way of our abundance and prosperity.

Call and response.

Aum Gam Shreem Mahalakshmiye Namaha.

And practice.

Aum Gam Shreem Mahalakshmiye Namaha.

Aum Gam Shreem Mahalakshmiye Namaha.

Now we'll do nine repetitions together.

Take a deep breath in.

Aum Gam Shreem Mahalakshmiye Namaha.

Aum Gam Shreem Mahalakshmiye Namaha.

Take a deep breath in and out.

And feel the effects of those sounds resonating within the body.

Now we'll do three rounds of Nadi Shodhana,

Alternate nostril breathing,

To integrate the energy from these mantras.

Rest your left hand on your lap,

Index and thumb tipped together in Jnana Mudra,

Palm down.

Take your right hand up into Vishnu Mudra.

You can take your index and middle fingers and bend them to the base of the thumb.

The thumb on one side and the ring finger on the other.

We'll bring the hand to the bridge of the nose.

We'll exhale fully.

Then use the thumb to close the right nostril and inhale through your left nostril.

At the top,

Pinch the nostrils and pause.

Then closing left,

Open the right,

Exhale out the right.

Then inhale through the right nostril.

Exhale.

At the top,

A gentle pinch and hold.

And then exhale,

Left nostril.

Two more cycles.

Inhale left.

Hold.

Exhale right.

Inhale right.

Hold.

Exhale left.

Last cycle,

Inhale left.

Exhale right.

Inhale right.

Exhale left.

And exhale left.

Release your hand down.

Relax.

And feel the energy of this practice together.

Bring your hands together at your heart space.

We'll close with one om.

Take a deep breath in.
