Hi,
This is Angie Hilton,
Welcome to this guided visualization,
Journey to the Forest of Calm.
Make sure you're sitting or lying down in a comfortable position,
Close your eyes and just take a moment to let your energy settle.
Let's start with three deep breaths,
So take a nice long slow deep breath in and hold it and let it out slowly and again a slow deep breath in and hold it and let it out slowly and one more nice long slow deep breath,
Hold it and let it out slowly.
Now you can let your breathing return to its natural gentle rhythm.
Before we begin,
Let's just take a moment to set an intention for this meditation.
It could be as simple as releasing the stress of the day,
Finding clarity or cultivating a sense of calm.
Whatever feels right,
Just allow it to gently rise in your mind.
Now hold this intention lightly as if planting a seed,
Knowing that the act of simply setting it is enough.
As we continue,
Trust that your intention will guide your experience in exactly the way you need.
We're going to start relaxing even deeper now as I slowly count down from five to zero.
Each number will take you five times deeper into a state of calm.
Five.
Feel every muscle in your body beginning to soften,
Releasing the weight of the day.
Four.
Allow every organ in your body to relax,
Especially your mind.
Let go of the need to think.
Three.
Feel a wave of calm moving through your nervous system,
Relaxing you deeper still.
Two.
Let every cell in your body release any stress that you're holding.
One.
Feeling deeply relaxed,
Realizing the more relaxed you feel,
The better you feel.
And the better you feel,
The more relaxed you become.
Zero.
You've arrived at complete stillness,
A profound state of peace.
Now imagine yourself walking into a lush green rainforest at dusk.
The air is warm and fragrant with the scent of rain on the leaves.
Sunlight filters through the canopy,
Casting golden patterns on the forest floor.
You hear the soothing sounds,
The gentle rush of a nearby waterfall,
Birds softly calling,
And the rustle of leaves in the breeze.
You feel your feet grounded on the cool,
Soft earth,
Noticing how the vibrant energy of the rainforest surrounds you,
Nurturing you.
This is your place of calm.
There's nothing you need to do and nowhere you need to be.
Simply relax and enjoy the peace of this moment with every breath.
Ahead of you,
You see a staircase made of smooth,
Mossy stones,
Curving gently downward.
You're not quite sure where it leads,
But you trust that it will take you to an even deeper state of calm.
You step down slowly,
Noticing how each footstep takes you twice as deep into relaxation.
With every step,
You feel your body grow lighter,
Your mind clearer,
And your heart full of peace.
As you reach the final step,
You see a majestic old tree with a door at the base of it.
You feel drawn to it as you get closer,
And you notice it has your name carved out on it.
You slowly open it up to find your very own private sanctuary.
You can't believe your eyes at just how beautiful it is.
It feels magical and alive.
The gentle sunlight filters through the trees and the air is filled with a deep sense of renewal.
Take a look around.
What do you see in your sanctuary?
You notice a comfortable,
Soft hammock tied between two sturdy trees.
You hop in and instantly have a feeling of complete weightlessness.
It starts to gently sway in the light breeze,
And you feel like you're being cocooned.
So safe.
So relaxed.
And so grateful.
This is a place where you feel like you at your best.
Free of worry,
Stress,
Anxiety.
You feel confident,
Calm,
Strong and wise.
It's a place where you can tap into your highest wisdom.
A place where you can ask questions and receive answers.
You ask yourself,
What steps do I need to take to become myself at my best?
And see what comes up.
Ask yourself,
Is there anything I need to start doing?
Is there anything I need to stop doing?
How can I be kinder to myself?
Are there any other insights I should know about?
Now take a moment to think of all the things you have to be grateful for in your life.
They can be as simple as the air we breathe,
A smile from a stranger,
Or your morning coffee.
Just take a moment to really immerse yourself in gratitude.
Your heart is feeling so full.
And you're so thankful to have discovered your very own private sanctuary that you can come back to anytime.
In fact,
You only have to think of this place in your mind and a wave of calm will wash over you.
As you rest in this peaceful place,
Repeat these affirmations silently in your mind.
Every day I'm growing stronger,
Wiser and calmer.
Every day I move closer to becoming me at my best.
Let these affirmations resonate deeply within you as they plant seeds of transformation.
Now it's time to gently return.
Imagine that staircase before you once again.
This time you'll be ascending slowly,
Bringing the calm of the sanctuary with you.
Step up to the first air,
Feeling your body start to reawaken,
Feeling light and refreshed.
Take another step,
Reconnecting with the world around you,
Carrying a sense of peace.
Next step,
Feeling free of all that was weighing you down.
Step by step you rise back to full awareness,
Feeling fully refreshed with a new sense of clarity and appreciation of life.
You can feel the lasting change from head to toe.
And know that you can come back to this feeling anytime you choose.
Thank yourself for carving out this time to nurture your body,
Mind and soul.
Such an essential thing to be doing in this world.
Now take a nice long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
Breathe out slowly and you can start to wriggle your fingers and toes.
You might like to take a big stretch and roll over to one side.
Own time,
No rush.
You can slowly open your eyes and come back into the room.
