Embracing letting go,

A gentle practice of allowing yourself to release control and trust the flow of life.

Welcome,

I invite you to settle into this moment,

To find comfort in your seat or wherever you may be and gently close your eyes.

As you begin to settle,

Let your breath be your anchor.

There's no need to change it,

Just notice the natural rhythm of your inhales and exhales.

Feel your body grounding,

Supported by the earth beneath you.

In today's practice,

We'll explore the art of letting go.

The gentle release of the grip we often hold on our thoughts,

Emotions and the outcomes of life.

Letting go doesn't mean giving up,

It means making space.

Space for peace,

For trust,

For whatever life is inviting in.

So allow yourself this time,

This permission to release.

Let's begin.

Start to bring awareness to the sensations in your body.

Feel your feet rooted to the ground.

The weight of your body fully supported.

Notice any tension in your shoulders,

Your jaw and forehead.

See if you can soften them,

Allowing them to release a little more with each breath.

Imagine your breath as a gentle wave,

Rising and falling.

Washing over your body.

Let go of the weight of expectations,

Of control,

Just for these moments.

Feel the breath expand in your chest.

And as you exhale,

Imagine the weight of your day dissolving.

Trust that the ground holds you and that there's nothing you need to do right now except breathe.

Now I want you to bring to mind something in your life you've been holding on to.

A worry,

A fear,

A sense of control over an outcome.

Just notice how it feels in your body.

Perhaps there's a tightness,

Tension or even a sense of unease.

Acknowledge these sensations without judgment.

We're going to practice letting go of that grip.

Not by pushing it away,

But by softening around it.

Can you feel what it's like to release your need to control or fix this situation?

You can even whisper quietly to yourself,

I release this.

Imagine holding this worry or fear gently in your hands.

Release.

Feel its weight,

Its presence.

Now imagine opening your hands and letting it drift away.

Trusting that it will find its place and that you don't have to carry it alone.

There is real freedom in letting it go.

It allows us to flow with life,

To trust the process even when we can't see the outcome.

Let go of trying to predict,

Control or change the future.

And let your breath guide you back into the present moment.

As you inhale,

Breathe in the possibility of trust.

As you exhale,

Let go of any expectations of how things should be.

With each breath you are creating space.

Space for new possibilities,

For ease,

For peace.

Now let's turn our attention to trust.

Trust is the companion of letting go.

As you release control,

What would it feel like to trust in life?

To trust in the natural unfolding of things,

Even when the path ahead is unclear.

Bring to mind a time in your life when things worked out in unexpected ways.

When life surprised you with a gift you hadn't planned for.

Feel the energy of that moment,

The ease that came when you surrendered to the flow of life.

Invite that same energy into your heart now.

Know that when we let go,

We allow space for grace,

For something greater to guide us.

Trust that you are exactly where you need to be right now,

And that life is unfolding just as it should.

Feel yourself softening even more.

Allow your breath to deepen,

Your body to relax.

Know that you don't have to carry the weight of the world.

You are allowed to rest in this moment,

To let go,

And trust in the wisdom of life.

As we come to the end of this practice,

Place one hand on your heart and the other on your belly.

Feel the gentle rise and fall of your breath,

The quiet rhythm of life that moves through you.

Take a moment to thank yourself for this practice of letting go,

For the courage it takes to release control and trust.

In the coming hours or days,

If you find yourself holding too tightly again,

Just remember this space of ease.

Remember that it's okay to let go.

You are supported,

You are guided,

And all is unfolding just as it should.

I trust in the flow of life,

I release control,

Knowing that I am supported and guided.
